I booked a room with an ensuite bathroom, but upon arrival the room did not have an ensuite bathroom. Instead, I was given a bathroom for my exclusive use outside. This is unacceptable because our privacy was compromised, as we all had to go into the common area before we could use it. We all felt uncomfortable. We did not get value for money. Such a bad experience. Never again.

Per quanto riguarda il bagno fuori dalla camera, la struttura (come si evince anche dal sito) prevede i bagni all’interno di tutte le camere, tranne la camera tripla, che avete prenotato e che prevede bagno esterno privato. Oltretutto mi dispiace vedere tale recensione riguardo il sevizio e il gestore, perche in piu occasioni sono stato a vostra disposizione per quanto riguarda consigli, mete da raggiungere, spostamenti, ristoranti, servizi per la camera etc. Buona serata!

Spacious and clean rooms in a quiet area of Florence. From here the city centre is easily reachable either by public transport or by a pleasant walk. A friendly and very helpful host. The room was large, comfortable, quiet, and very clean. The simple breakfast was very good, and the local area had nearby supermarkets, bars and restaurants. It was about a 25-minute walk to the historic centre (Santa Croce), and there were also plenty of buses close by. The cost was also very reasonable, making our stay in Florence very enjoyable. We would highly recommend this B&B.

Mariano is the most welcoming and accommodating host you can ask for. He was super friendly in explaining how to get around to the must-see spots in Florence. The place is tucked in a safe area a bit away from the busy city centre, but the price and setup of the room totally make up for it.

Mariano was a great host. Very friendly and responsive. He did his best to make sure that our stay was enjoyable. We arrived very late because of a severe flight delay, but he waited for us and helped us get to the location safely. He was a great source of information for the city and beyond. The location was very cute, well maintained and generally clean. We just noticed a slight smoke smell on our mattress or pillow. The room was spacious and the ensuite private bathroom worked well. The location is non-smoking, though. The basic breakfast was always set up and waiting for us in the kitchen, with coffee ready to be brewed in the moka pot. There is a great grocery store steps away, as well as a very nice Italian restaurant, JB7. Walking into the central tourist area of the city takes about half an hour, but you can take a bus nearby. Most of that route is a well-lit shopping street for tourists, but it is very quiet at night around the B&B. We would not hesitate to stay there again. Great value with such a great host.

Mariano is an excellent host, cordial and helpful. Family-owned building with a homely atmosphere. The room is clean, welcoming and warm. The street below is a bit busy from dawn, but not particularly noisy. The location of the property is very convenient for us, as we wanted to stay close to the Teatro Cartiere Carrara; we reached it on foot with a pleasant walk along the Arno, while still being close to the center. Sheets and towels were very clean and soft. The mattress and pillow are very comfortable. We greatly appreciated the availability of the kitchen for breakfast, a service not so common in Florentine accommodations. In our opinion, the value for money is excellent. Mariano is very helpful; he provides useful information about the area, recommended addresses and details on routes and roads. He is very sociable and never loses his calm, even in emergency situations. The accommodation, in its simplicity, is comfortable, especially the small private apartment. Breakfast, with packaged but varied products; the coffee, made only with quality blends, is decent. A more than valid option for those who, like me, had a concert at the Nelson Mandela Forum: 15 minutes on foot, with buses passing 50 metres away to the historic centre.

I stayed at the Tabernacolo to attend a concert at the Cartiere Carrara theater, and when I return to Florence I will turn to this B&B again. It had been recommended to me by friends and I in turn feel like recommending it to others, especially those visiting Florence near Coverciano. The location is very good: Campo di Marte station can be reached in 10 minutes on foot and the theater in about a 20-minute walk. Mariano, the owner of the B&B, is a cheerful and friendly man: despite the few minutes at check-in (unfortunately I was in a hurry and had arrived in the city a bit late) he provided me with all the information to use the room and the kitchen at my disposal and to get around the city and reach my destination in the shortest possible time, and he welcomed me with a pleasant conversation. The room is comfortable, well furnished in a classic style, the bathroom is new, with a nice glass shower. The breakfast offered was simple but with a wide range of choices. The small bottle of water provided in the room was a very welcome extra, a simple thing that I have rarely seen offered in other B&Bs where I have stayed. I will definitely return.

Mariano's friendliness and cordiality soften some aspects that could have been presented better. The room was not as we had imagined. The bathroom was in the same condition. We did not sleep comfortably on the two pushed-together mattresses. However, street noise was not audible, so the night was quiet. After initial communication problems and a late handover, the nice owner has tried to downplay many things with kindness and tips for the city. He tells where you can have breakfast for 7 euros. The next morning I got up and found that there was no breakfast, just a set table in the kitchen, nothing else. Empty fridge, nothing with which to at least boil water. (Tea bags and stove available). Therefore, I recommend it only as a clean place to sleep.

We had a very nice stay at Mariano's. He is a very attentive host. There is no private parking, but we easily found a parking place on the street, very close by, and left the car there for two days. The neighbourhood is perfectly safe. The bed was very comfortable, Mariano had set the air conditioning before we arrived, and we never needed to change the temperature. It was perfect, and lovely to come back to a cool room after sightseeing in a heat wave. Best of all, we were within walking distance of the city centre (25 minutes of leisurely walking to the Duomo, only 5 minutes to the Arno). There are also various buses nearby. This is a great location. We heartily recommend Mariano's B&B!

The room was very nice, with everything needed, even a small wall-mounted hairdryer. The host is spectacular, kind and precise, he gave us a lot of information about things to see and how to get there. The house is close to the bus stop, with just a few stops you can reach the city center directly. The room was spacious, cozy, clean and equipped with everything necessary. The bathroom was outside the room, but still comfortable and clean. The breakfast consisted of packaged products, it was very abundant and satisfying. The B&B is not exactly centrally located, it is about 2.6 km from Piazza della Signoria; however, it is quite easy to reach, both on foot and by public transport (within a few hundred meters there are 2 bus stops). Special mention goes to the owner, Mariano, for his friendliness and warm welcome; he is very knowledgeable about the city of Florence and can give you precise directions on points of interest, monuments, distances, and also restaurants where to eat. The apartment was clean and in general comfortable. It is located outside the center but in our opinion that is totally fine, as we could see more from the city and not only touristic spots. The center can be reached by bus and it is about 30min to get there from the apartment. \nThe host was very kind and suggested us places to see in Florence and where to eat. \nFor the breakfast you can expect coffee, milk (also vegan), tee, toast bread, yogurt and small cakes. To start our morning, we really need coffee and in our opinion the breakfast was ok.

Mariano is a very friendly, cheerful and helpful landlord! He gives precious information and reacts very quickly to my answers. The bedroom is very clean, the place is very quiet. For breakfast, perhaps it would be nice to have some fruits (oranges, bananas, apples...), ordinary bread (for French people: baguette!), cereals, and more coffee: but it is Italian coffee, of course, and foreigners have to accept other ways of drinking and eating. I like a big bowl of black coffee in the morning! But it is a light remark. Thanks for all, I shall recommend this place to my friends and family!

Mariano, super approved host! We stayed there for New Year's Eve. He welcomed us in the afternoon, made a good coffee and explained a bit how to get around. He was wonderful with us from the very first moment, available and kind, one of those people who makes you feel at home. The breakfast was only basic, with toasted bread, snacks, yogurt, milk, and fruit juices, but there was nothing missing. The room was very bright and tastefully furnished. Simple things are the most beautiful. Overall, a really positive experience. I have his number saved because if I ever need to return to Florence, the B&B Il Tabernacolo would be a safe harbor! For me, the best is the location. The breakfast is very simple, but for me, since I only stayed one day, it did not bother me. Another thing is that the bath towel was stained yellow and red, and since I noticed it was already very late, because I arrived late at B&B Il Tabernacolo, I could not ask to change it. It is an excellent place to stay, I came with my girlfriend and we stayed for 3 nights and it truly is a very complete place for the price we considered very accessible. The location is very good, a bit away from the center but still within walking distance. The breakfast is good and you can use the kitchen if you want to supplement by buying some food at a market. And last but super important, the host is super friendly and very attentive, makes you feel at home even before arriving, giving directions for arrival, check-in and places to visit and activities to do in Florence, this lodging is really highly recommended mainly for the host's attentions.

I reached all the attractions of interest to me (Piazzale Michelangelo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Florence Cathedral, and the Uffizi) on foot without any problems (about 30-40 minutes from the accommodation; the journey itself is worth seeing). Good morning, I stayed at the B&B Il Tabernacolo with my mother for a total of 2 nights. The structure is excellent, complete with everything necessary, from the rooms to a small common area provided with everything needed for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The same goes for the location. It is close to useful bus stops or for walking around. The manager, Mr. Mariano, is kind and always available for any eventuality.

Excellent value for money, the manager who welcomes you is very kind, helpful, and meticulous in showing the structure and what it offers. Excellent location (15 minutes walk from the Nelson Mandela Forum, 30 minutes walk from the center, with the possibility of renting bicycles everywhere in the city and deciding whether to move on foot or by bike... goodbye car for a whole weekend!). Mariano is a commendable host. Super welcoming and helpful in giving us all kinds of information to experience the city. In the structure, we found the refrigerator and pantry full of many things for our stay there: assorted yogurts, various types of milk, coffee, jams, butter, cookies, snacks, toast, water at will... in short, we felt at home! Clean structure with towel change included. Highly recommended.

We were three in one room. The operator, Mariano, is very helpful. One of our luggage was unfortunately a bit torn. He helped us repair the luggage. He really makes an effort to keep the accommodation clean and tidy. He cleans the accommodation himself every day and doesn't make us wash the dishes. On the first day, he gave us information and some important tips about attractions in Florence. The accommodation is quite central. Coop supermarket is almost directly behind the accommodation, behind the bakery. Unfortunately, at our current accommodation in Bologna, the operator is not as nice and helpful as Mariano. So... this accommodation is recommended.

Mariano is the nicest host you could wish for. We have felt like at home. The house is very beautiful, everything is super clean and absolutely perfectly prepared. We came with our two daughters and booked two rooms for a couple of days. The location is a little outside the tourist center, which we found perfect and very pleasant. Nevertheless, you can get everywhere super on foot or by bus. On the way to the center you walk through a super shopping area with cute stores and restaurants.

Five Stars! Will recommend to friends and family! We were at Firenze for a holiday and stayed at B&B Il Tabernacolo. Our host - Mariano - has been very gracious and thoughtful. He gave us tips on which lovely places to visit, where the local market is (we love community markets because they reflect the culture of the place), where to buy bus tickets, personal items etc. Our room was so nicely done, very cute and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The fridge was amazingly fully stocked with juices, yoghurt, cold water, etc and we were provided with a sweet little breakfast with freshly brewed coffee every morning. Such an enjoyable treat! The place is within walking distance from the centre, in a quiet neighborhood with lots of little shops and bars. We enjoyed strolling down the road, taking photos as we go, to remember our September - October 2023 holiday by. It was such an amazing experience to visit Firenze and it was made more lovely by our stay at B&B Il Tabernacolo. Thank you, Mariano, for making our stay enjoyable.

I had a great stay at B&B Il Tabernacolo. The quality/price of this B&B makes it very competitive compared to other places in Florence. The room was perfectly clean and tidy, Mariano was extremely kind and helpful - he really cares about his guests, which is definitely a big plus. The B&B is located just a little bit outside the city center, I used the city bikes and I had no problem moving quickly through the city, also at night. I had a great stand and I'd go back there when visiting Florence again. So I totally recommend it. I have only one comment/advise left, the breakfast is nice but it'd be nice if it was more diverse, I would have liked maybe some fruit and the possibility to make a toast.

I am already looking forward to another visit to the B&B Il Tabernacolo and the city of Florence. Mariano was a superb host - telling us about his wonderful home, the city and tips on how to get around. The coffee was fantastic and the pastries were a nice light way to start the day. The B&B is not in the heart of the city but literally a straight 30-minute walk will get you to the Academia Gallery to see David or the Duomo. The room and bathroom were modern and clean. Be aware you do have to climb a couple of staircases to get to the rooms but thankfully they are not spiral! There is also excellent wifi and A/C in the room and a TV - but we were too tired to watch it!

Probably the most friendly host we have ever met, and we have traveled a lot. He gave us lots of great suggestions on what to do and see in Florence. The property is a 20-30 minute walk from the city center, but there are buses that can take you there faster. It is hard to find accommodation in this price range in Florence, it was very cheap and well worth the money. The only negative we have to say is that the walls were very thin, so we could hear our neighbors. This did not bother us too much though since we did not spend too much time in our room while in Florence. \nThank you Mariano, you were the greatest host!

We stayed for 1 night. We had our car, so the location from the center wasn't a big deal for us, but it's still convenient to get to the center on foot. Very friendly host, explained everything in detail, recommended the best restaurants and everything we needed. The breakfast is simple but with all the essentials. There is also a kitchen available. Nearby there is a nice coffee shop/pastry shop and pizzerias. For our purposes, it was the perfect place. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. There is also a washing machine with dryer if needed. The price is one of the best in the city.

A wonderful place to stay at! The room was big enough, as was the bathroom. Charming host Mariano not only keeps everything spotlessly clean, but also provides valuable information on which places to visit and where to find the best quality food. The only minor issue here is the parking situation, it can be difficult to find a parking space, although we were very lucky upon arrival to find a free space directly in front of the B&B. The structure is located in an ancient building about 15 minutes away from Campo di Marte station, in a secondary street that ensures silence and tranquility, without sacrificing proximity to bars, restaurants, tobacco shops, and grocery stores. In the street there is a sacred icon from which the structure takes its name. Getting to the center is very easy (the road is always straight) on foot, although a bit long (about 30 minutes), by bike it takes about half the time, taking advantage of the city's rental service bikes, easily available everywhere, also near the B&B. The room is exactly as described on the website, equipped with everything you need, the room temperature is adjustable and very clean. The external bathroom is a bit inconvenient, as you have to cross the entire common hallway to reach it. In general, the spaces outside the room are a bit limited, probably converted from an apartment. Excellent value for money. The manager is very friendly and helpful, prepares breakfast, cleans the rooms, and provides useful information about the city and how to reach places of interest. Recommended, in my opinion, for short stays and always on the go for sightseeing.

In this B&B we had a great experience: the room was very clean, spacious, and very airy. The bathroom in the room was a bit small but satisfactory in terms of cleanliness and amenities. The shared kitchen, available to guests, is the small room where you can have breakfast and is equipped with a fridge, stove, and microwave. In the morning, you will be greeted with steaming coffee from the moka pot or hot water for a nice tea, as well as cookies and packaged products to start the day! The location is also convenient: the city center (about 3-4 km from Santa Maria del Fiore) can be reached either by a pleasant half-hour walk or by public transport (there are several stops near the property). The property is in a nice residential area, on a quiet street with some useful shops. We really appreciated our host Mariano: very kind from the first information requests during the booking phase, later he proved to be very attentive to our stay! He sent us very detailed information to reach the property, so we wouldn't get lost among the various bus lines, and welcomed us with sympathy and warmth, recommending less touristy but definitely more charming attractions to discover some hidden gems of Florence: we thank him so much for welcoming us warmly! In conclusion, the B&B Il Tabernacolo is a place where you can almost feel at home, with excellent cleanliness and an excellent value for money!

Mariano is a very nice host and very proud of his property. Everything is very nice there and very clean. He takes good care of the rooms and keeps the kitchen clean. Breakfast has all the nice things with milk and yogurt in the fridge, as well as many small delicious cupcakes and tarts. The building is a little bit far from the city center (1.5km) but that is definitely not a problem since Mariano will give you great directions to reach everything. If you prefer not to walk (as I did), bus stops are very close to the building and with a 1.5 Euros ticket, you can reach in just 10 minutes everything in the center of Florence. For the price, everything was more than extraordinary! Hope one day I can visit Florence once again!

What a fantastic way to experience Florence! The location is very close to the main sites such as the Duomo and Piazza Della Signorina (~20min) and also to shops and restaurants. The host was very friendly and accommodating, the room we stayed in was very very clean with a very powerful A/C. The bathroom was very clean as well. Breakfast was provided as pastries and coffee (many other breakfast options nearby). We will definitely be staying here again because it was a perfect way to feel like we were living in the city. The host also gave us many suggestions on what to do and see to truly experience Florence. The owner is a very nice and warm person. He runs his business with great commitment. The room was very clean. Comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked very effectively. Convenient location for people who come to Florence by car. Some inconvenience of the triple room was the bathroom outside the room (although private) - this information was given in the description. Besides, this room was separated from the neighboring room only by a door (locked, of course). In the room you can hear the neighbors' conversations and the TV. Luckily for us, two ladies who lived next door were very quiet. All in all we liked the room very much. Next time we visit Florence we will definitely check if Mr. Mariano has a free room for us.

I chose this property for the many positive reviews that are mainly directed towards the owner, a very kind and helpful person, I confirm. The distance from the station is not so irrelevant and it is not conceivable to arrive or return on foot especially if you have even minimal luggage. During the stay, I recommend using public transport which is convenient (unless you arrive by car), while to go to the station, leave with plenty of lead time. However, I would like to draw attention and express my opinion, entirely personal more than anything else on the room which is what really matters for an informed choice. The building itself has a certain charm, annihilated by an internal renovation that leaves something to be desired. My room overlooked the street which is quite busy and noisy with windows without double glazing. It is also correct to know that there are two flights of stairs without an elevator. As for the bathroom, there is a rather noisy water supply system for the toilet that activates even when the bathroom is not in use or when you are in the shower and sometimes even at night while you sleep. It's quite annoying. The bed pillows are very uncomfortable and the mattress is old. It would take little to make this room much more pleasant. The air conditioning at least works well and the cleaning is thorough. The biggest disappointment is the breakfast, with packaged croissants in plastic and not even a placemat on the table to place things.

As soon as we arrived, Mariano welcomed us, a very kind, courteous and polite man. He kindly took my suitcase up the stairs due to its excessive weight (the structure does not have an elevator). During the journey, the suitcase gave me problems, the owner even managed to fix it and make it better than when I bought it. Once we arrived in the apartment, he showed us the room, the kitchen which is shared with other people, equipped with all the essentials, you can also use the fridge/freezer. In that area, breakfast is also included in the price and includes various packaged snacks and toast, yogurt, milk, coffee, jams, and butter. In the morning, everything will already be set up and will happen autonomously. Then he informed us that we had ended up in the only room where the bathroom was not inside, but was located in the corridor next to the entrance door. This was the only negative point due to the lack of practicality. It is provided with the necessary, functional, but a bit “old”... even compared to the bathrooms of the other rooms, the standard is lower. After the tour, he kindly filled us with advice on where to go and what to do in Florence and also me and my boyfriend, we also had a very nice zodiac analysis. The area is quite central, nothing is too far away, but it is true that in summer and on foot it was a bit tiring. Perfect area for those who are there, like us, for a concert. What can I say? We were sorry to have to leave and say goodbye to Mr. Mariano, but we are sure we will come back.

Wonderful welcome from Mariano (the owner). They should all be like him: welcoming, helpful, and very kind. Rooms are ALWAYS clean, with the possibility to use part of the fridge. The service and the structure are worth every penny. In fact, the ratio is more favorable to quality compared to the price. The stay at B&B Il Tabernacolo is very good value for money. On the main street, there is quite a bit of noise early in the morning, but nothing that can't be solved with some good earplugs.

Very close to Campo di Marte Station (well served by high-speed trains), it is only a few minutes by bus from the city center. The building and the apartment where the rooms are located are very well maintained, and the rooms are very spacious, clean, and well-kept. The owner, Mariano, is very kind and helpful. I will definitely come back for the next trip to Florence.
