Description
In the heart of Pistoia, nestled between the Baptistery of San Giovanni and Piazza della Sala, stands the Battistero Residenza d’Epoca, a carefully restored historic residence from the 13th century that retains its original charm.
The project was inspired by the passion of Roberto Cappellini and Nicola Giuntini, owners of two historic food companies, who established the Osteria Bonodinulla in 2015, a restaurant focused on traditional Tuscan cuisine. Following the success of the osteria, they launched this elegant boutique hotel in 2017, offering an intimate and exclusive experience.
The 13 rooms, each with its own unique style, provide modern comforts such as satellite TV, a desk, a coffee machine, and air conditioning. The Deluxe King Suite, ideal for special occasions, features a panoramic terrace overlooking the city’s rooftops.
For food enthusiasts, breakfast is a true ritual: served at the Osteria Bonodinulla, accessible via a private elevator, it includes homemade bread, cakes, and pastries, family-roasted coffee, and ingredients sourced from top local producers. For lunch and dinner, the restaurant invites guests to explore the authentic flavors of Tuscany, featuring traditional recipes and farm-to-table products.

Breakfast
Breakfast, featuring both Italian and continental options, is served in the facilities of the Osteria, located on the ground floor of the Residence, easily accessible from the rooms via an internal elevator. Each morning, guests can enjoy fresh and artisanal products, a result of tradition and a commitment to quality.
The bread, freshly baked, arrives warm and fragrant, accompanied by baked specialties such as pizza and the typical Tuscan schiacciata. Desserts and cookies are lovingly prepared in the Panificio Giuntini workshop in Quarrata, one of the key players in the Battistero project. The cured meats and cheeses are sourced from selected local producers, as is the milk, chosen to ensure the highest quality.
Coffee, in its various forms, features the unmistakable aroma of 1878 Moka Jenne, a distinguished brand originating from Pistoia. Breakfast thus becomes a special moment where the authentic flavors of the region meet warm hospitality, allowing guests to start their day in the best possible way.

The concept of Battistero Residenza d’Epoca originated in 2012 and materialized in 2017, following a careful restoration and enhancement process. The project was envisioned by Roberto Cappellini and Nicola Giuntini, heirs to two historic family businesses known in Pistoia for the quality and tradition of their products.
Hospitality here is a genuine value: Nicola and Roberto enjoy sharing stories and interesting facts about the city with guests, while Sara, Brigjilda, and Elisa take turns at the reception, ready to welcome and assist visitors to make each stay a unique experience.
