The Antica Residenza Cicogna, recently restored, offers to its guests five comfortable double rooms and two elegant suites, all with bathroom, cable tv, air conditioning, and internet Wi-Fi free.

Breakfast is served with buffet on a large breakfast room, in a familiar and warm atmosphere.

This B&b, located in the historical centre of Siena, at the first floor of a medieval palazzo placed at 100 metres from Piazza del Campo, will give you a nice and quiet stay in this unforgettable city.

Hello there! My name is Elisa, and I am 46 years old. I have a husband named Carmelo and two children, Francesco and Veronica. My family has always had a passion for hospitality! Friends, whether near or far, have always known that they could find a place at our table and a pillow to rest their head at any time. I feel fortunate because I have been able to turn my passion into my daily work, and it has been wonderful to open the doors of my ancestors' home (the Cicogna family) to those who want to be our guests, trying to make their memories of Siena a little more special.

Together with my mother Cecilia (daughter of Maria Cicogna, my grandmother), we have followed the renovation works of the Residenza day by day. We have chosen the fabrics for the blankets and curtains and have searched for furniture and objects in antique markets that could properly furnish our rooms, taking care of every detail. And 13 years ago, we opened this bed and breakfast to all those who want to be our guests.

At the reception, you will find me (Elisa) and my longtime friend Ilaria. We will always be ready to welcome you with a smile and the desire to make you discover and love our city. Our other two friends, Silvia and Enrica, will take care of your room every day. We are waiting for you!

Welcome to Antica Residenza Cicogna, the winter residence of the Cicogna family (my ancestors), located in the heart of Siena's historical center. Just a few steps away from Piazza del Campo, the Duomo, and the main museums and monuments of the city, as well as the Stadium (whose parking lot is a reference point for us Sienese), the bus terminal (Piazza Gramsci), and the Medicean Fortress.

If you're arriving by train, the station is just 2 km away from us. A tip for those coming from Rome with public transportation: taking the bus (Siena) is the best option.

If you're arriving by car, you can park in front of our door to unload your luggage before parking your car in the free parking spots around the Medicean Fortress or in a secure garage that we have an agreement with (18.00 euro/24h), located 300 meters away from us. We will inform the traffic police of your transit in the ZTL.

I recently had a great stay at this charming B&B. The location of the hotel is great for access to the main sights and also the bus station. Surrounded by great restaurants to eat at too. Lovely clean and spacious rooms with good sound proofing. The hosts were very helpful throughout my stay. Looking forward to returning in May. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The photo of the proposed room does not match the one assigned. The bathroom needs maintenance for the shower head. The teapot is encrusted with limescale. The structure is not suitable for the elderly and disabled. It is not very convenient to reach with luggage, as it is located in the historic center, far from parking lots, which are mostly small and mostly paid at certainly not very convenient prices.

Antica Residenza Cicogna is a charming property with lovely hosts. I stayed in the Liberty Room and enjoyed quiet nights with good sleep. The renovations to this old mansion are stylish while bringing in the modern conveniences of great plumbing, wifi, and air conditioning. There are no elevators in this building, so be sure you are good with stairs. This is a fabulous location in the old town, walkable to the main sites of old Siena. And I can't say enough about the hosts, who made me feel very welcome.

Great location, pretty and historical. Not particularly luxurious; shower was not good, bed had only one flat pillow per person, and parking was stressful because GPS doesn't work around the area. But, we didn't pick it for luxury and quiet. We picked it to enjoy a historic stay close to everything. :) The hostess was kind and gracious.

Lovely property. Close to the center with an easy 10 euro cab ride from the train station. The host was very courteous and helpful throughout. We were on the top floor off the main drag, so it was very quiet. Hot water was slow during our visit, but the host seemed sincere about getting it sorted once we left.

The location of the property is strategic, not far from Piazza del Campo. A 10-minute walk away you can find a couple of free parking lots. Friendly and helpful staff, possibility to enter the rooms at any time for access with a pin code at the entrance, which is useful and not taken for granted for a property, small economy rooms but equipped with all necessary comforts, impeccable cleanliness. The only flaws: I would leave the windows of the internal corridors open in the structure to ventilate the environments, upon our arrival the interior had a musty smell, I would add more fresh products to the breakfast buffet, we did not use the service but the quantity of packaged industrial products was visible.

The palace is located right in the center and is therefore extraordinarily convenient. Even parking is not a problem, as you can leave your car outside the walls (10 minutes on foot from Antica Residenza Cicogna) in a large free parking area, yet it is possible to drive up to the door to unload luggage. The 'suite' (a bedroom and another entrance room with a bed) is well-kept, spacious, and very clean, the bathroom is small but equipped with everything needed. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, it was not possible to have breakfast inside the facility. In any case, Antica Residenza Cicogna is highly recommended, also for the kindness and availability of Elisa, an impeccable host.

The structure is beautiful, room in Florentine style with clean and new bathroom. Very kind and welcoming staff. The location is excellent as it's in the historic center and only a 10-minute walk from parking outside the walls. Breakfast at the bar next to the Antica Residenza Cicogna (a sweet or savory pastry), a beverage (coffee, cappuccino, or fruit juice). The only downside is the wifi working intermittently.

We stayed at this property for two nights. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to recommend it. In the days leading up to our stay, Elisa was extremely kind and provided us with all the necessary information. The location is truly unique, very close to the center and Piazza del Campo and not far from the parking lots. The building is truly spectacular and I believe that alone deserves an excellent rating. I was only disappointed that due to Covid, breakfast is offered at the adjacent bar. A very good solution with a choice between sweet and savory, but I would have liked to have breakfast inside the property. Nevertheless, a truly excellent property and if I return to Siena, I will definitely stay at this wonderful property again.

Being in a very central area and therefore not accessible by car, we were still able to unload our luggage in front of this splendid residence and parked the car a few minutes away. Charming rooms, well located, and helpful host. One drawback is that the WIFI was sporadic, but it was a minor issue. Definitely a good value for the room price and a very nice breakfast in a lovely dining room. Try to get out to see the farmland, vineyards, and olive orchards of Tuscany. We did a tour which included a winery visit and farm to table meal, and it was worth it! Not too far from the bus station which helps when traveling.

Excellent value for money. My family and I were guests of Elisa for 2 nights and we felt so good that we decided to stay for the third night as well. The house is a real historic residence, renovated in every detail: the frescoes on the walls and ceilings, the ancient floors, and a careful eye also on the comforts. It is right in the center and convenient for everything you want to visit: the fantastic soundproof windows ensure a restful sleep, as do the mattresses, and what about Elisa and her collaborators: they definitely make the difference compared to other facilities. We highly recommend it.

A beautiful property and quite central to everything you need. The ladies were very helpful and friendly. There are lots of restaurants in the area and we were given a list to help us in our choice. We loved the painted ceiling in our room. If you close the windows at night they block out all the sound of tourists, church bells and cars.

Property in the city center, with convenient parking available both for a fee and for free nearby. Kind and helpful in providing advice during the stay the property. Lounge area available to guests with refreshments (coffee, tea, cantucci, herbal teas) and where you can relax. Recommended.

Excellent reception, the owners are very helpful in helping and advising to make the most of the stay, the structure is renovated but they have managed to maintain the retro style. Near the paid parking a bit further away the free parking, but a 10-minute walk.

We spent the period between December 29 and January 2 in this splendid bed and breakfast located in the center of Siena. The structure is simply stunning (it is an ancient house finely renovated) and the room is very pleasant. We appreciated the kindness and availability of the two sisters who manage the Antica Residenza Cicogna. The location is excellent (a few hundred meters from Piazza del Campo). Highly recommended.

We had a great time: the structure, in an optimal position, is really very beautiful, the (Liberty) room delightful and the ladies are very kind and generous with useful advice about their wonderful city. Our stay at Antica Residenza Cicogna was a delight. Located centrally, it allowed us to take a break during our sightseeing day for a relaxing pause. Ilyssa and Iliana were helpful hosts, answering any questions we had. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely book again. It is a lovely building.

Splendid vacation and location, in the heart of the center, a stone's throw from Piazza del Campo and the Duomo. We had at our disposal an entire suite, the suite of embroideries. Inside the historic building, there is also a lounge to relax. Excellent restaurant recommendations in the area from the staff, always extremely friendly and very affordable.

Antica Residenza Cicogna was the perfect place for an unforgettable weekend in Siena. Very central, a stone's throw from the main street, it is located in a historic residence with stylish furnishings without sacrificing comfort. My room was a green dream with a canopy bed and frescoed walls; the private bathroom was delightful and well-stocked. An adjacent common room is available to guests for self-service tea or cantucci with vinsanto. The buffet breakfast offers a wide selection of sweet and savory items, as well as fruit, yogurt, and cereals; plus, the extremely kind staff prepared us a great soy cappuccino. Not to be overlooked: we slept like babies.

We spent a great holiday in Siena. The B&B is close to the center (5 minutes walk to the Palazzo Pubblico). The hosts are really nice and available. And if you are lucky, you will see some events like Saint Catherine's day, with all the contrada's flag in the streets.

Very nice B&B in the center of a beautiful Siena. Extremely kind, helpful, and friendly people. What can I say? We had a great time. A gem: in a nearby street, there is a little jazz bar where music plays until late with open doors. Even though we could hardly hear it from our very close room, earplug packs were provided. Water, tea, vin santo, and cantuccini always available in the lounge. Anna Maria and Piero.

Great hotel, an ancient palace turned into a B&B with frescoed ceilings, very spacious rooms, very clean, special attention. Breakfast is a bit basic, but with all the essentials. There is a common room where you can have coffee, a wide variety of teas, water, cantucci, and vin santo. The location is excellent. I recommend without a doubt.

Antica Residenza Cicogna has been beautifully restored, very close to Piazza del Campo yet the neighborhood was quiet at night. Elisa and the staff were very pleasant and courteous. The breakfast spread had a large variety of items and was delicious, especially the cappuccinos.

Great location, breakfast and good hospitality. Unfortunately, the street noise until late at night disturbed our well-deserved sleep and the bed is nice but small for people over 1.90 meters tall.

Excellent location in the city center, but at the same time quiet (even parallel to the elegant Banchi di sopra, the beating heart of the city). Impeccable cleanliness, courtesy, and absolute availability, the lovely Ms. Elisa is always punctual and available. A truly pleasant stay and definitely worthy of a return. No negative notes.
