The delightful Bed and Breakfast is located in the historic center of Montecarlo, a small and enchanting medieval village, 20 km from Lucca, among the green of the olive trees and the colorful vineyards, along the "Wine and Oil Road".
In a late 1600s building, in a warm and familiar environment, typical of authentic Tuscany, it is managed with cordiality and sympathy.
Flowers characterize the rooms, with wrought iron beds, beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and traditional Tuscan furniture. All rooms are equipped with exclusive bathroom, TV, telephone, hair dryer and ceiling fan, heating, children's bed (on request). The entire structure is equipped with free wifi. You can also take your four-legged friends with you on the road and you can return at any time of the night.
Every morning a tasty breakfast buffet is prepared, with a large variety of sweet products and delicious homemade cakes. On request savory breakfast and according to the specific dietary requests of the guest. During the day, the small bar is available for aperitifs, platters of local products or an excellent glass of Montecarlo DOC. In the evening, it is possible to dine on home-cooked dishes, according to traditional Tuscan recipes handed down by our grandmothers, in the courtyard, under the trees in summer, or around the fireplace in winter.

We are Giulia and David, a young couple made up of a woman from Pisa and a man from Livorno, cities famous for their historic rivalry, still fueled today by memorable teasing, that we found in Montecarlo, theater of struggles between the mighty of Tuscany since the Middle Ages, place ideal for cultivating mutual parochialism;)
We have been managing this splendid little gem which is the Antica Casa dei Rassicurati since March 2019, we fell in love with it at first sight, we take care of it every day and we try to convey the love for this magical place also to our guests who we welcome with authenticity typical of us Tuscans to make them feel at home, with some extra cuddles!

Very disappointing room for €90. At least the "Rosa" we had: uncomfortable bed with only two cushions that were too flat. Noisy room, you can hear everything that happens around; room on the second floor with an old staircase. Narrow shower with a curtain, small bathroom. Breakfast is very good, but there are only homemade sweets; fresh bread was missing, there were only rusks; unfortunately no cold cuts or savory options. The restaurant is highly recommended and very good, but must be booked in advance as there are only a few tables available. Very interesting souvenirs can be purchased directly on the premises (soap products, biscuits, sauces, etc.). Compliments to Chef Davide for his choice of quality products and his excellent dishes.

Without a doubt the best welcome possible in Italy! Giulia will welcome you with a big smile and impeccable French. The building is charming as is the room, a bit old-fashioned but with all modern comforts. Honestly, we felt super comfortable there! The breakfast and meals are delicious and homemade. I highly recommend it.
