Description

Surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, our 200 y. o. stone farmhouse is on a hilltop with a spectacular view over the Greve valley - filled with ancient castles, picturesque villages, and farms where you can taste genuine local products. Ancora del Chianti Country BB & Art Retreat in Tuscany provides bed-and-breakfast accommodation with double and twin rooms in a converted Chianti farmhouse.

Think of Tuscany and you probably picture somewhere like Ancora del Chianti. That means hospitality, a friendly atmosphere and magnificent scenery. Free WIFI connection in common areas only.

Your hosts are Laura and Filippo. Laura will be taking care of you during your stay. She decorated the house herself and spends her spare time sewing and painting the flowers in the beautiful garden. Each morning she provides breakfast on the terrace. Filippo has devoted himself to the vineyards and the olive groves producing Chianti and olive oil.

This is the perfect spot to relax, in the courtyard and on the lawns which surround the house. But when you venture further afield you'll find plenty to do. There are local castles, villages, and farms to visit, as well as excellent local walks, horse riding, mountain biking, tennis, lake fishing and much more. Laura and Filippo are also happy to offer suggestions about wine tours with tastings in Chianti, Montalcino, San Gimignano and Montepulciano; visits to the major cities such as Florence, Siena and Arezzo; and shopping at the hottest fashion outlets.

Our à la carte breakfast is served from 8: 30 to 10: 00. The menu includes: coffee, tea, herbal infusions, milk, juices, prepacked croissants, prepacked plum cakes, cereals, muesli, yogurt, bread, butter, jams, cheese, cold cuts, honey.

Breakfast service is suspended from August 3rd to 22nd August 2025.

Our stay was wonderful. It's a beautiful property with a very kind host, Laura, and I will never forget her beautiful mama opening the shutters in the early morning while I was taking photos of the sunrise. She leaned out and said 'good morning' (in Italian), blew me a kiss, and I blew one back. Unforgettable moment. I loved every moment! 😘💛

Although the hotel's location is somewhat far from the town, it is situated in a wonderful place, with spectacular views where you can enjoy nature and the tranquility of the countryside. The lovely treatment of its owner Laura, who is always attentive to your needs, is remarkable. We will definitely come back!

The garden is very beautiful, with some very panoramic areas, and well equipped with tables, chairs, benches, deck chairs, sunbeds, distributed in different areas, so that each guest can choose whether to isolate themselves from others, or socialize on the terrace also used for breakfast. The road to get there in some stretches is very narrow, but fortunately it is rare to meet other cars.

We unfortunately stayed only one night at this property but it was a spectacular experience that we will definitely repeat very soon. Laura and Debora were very kind and professional, the room and everything in general extremely clean, well furnished, and nothing left to chance. Breathtaking view, and a very suggestive breakfast in a veranda outdoors immersed in the quietness. To reach the property, you have to take a dirt road, but nothing impossible, it's worth it. Free parking. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our stay. Laura was a very welcoming host and made our stay very enjoyable. She also booked us on an olive oil tour and tasting as well as a tour of a castle owned by a family that produces very fine wines (Verrazzano) and they served us a fantastic lunch.

Excellent facility in the heart of Chianti. The owners and Alessandra were very welcoming and helpful. Alessandra's cakes for breakfast were fantastic.\n\nTo reach the B&B, you have to drive along a long dirt road but it's worth it considering the magnificent view you enjoy once you arrive.
