Description

After completing their university studies and spending years working in the architecture field, our father decided to purchase this farmhouse and renovate it, pouring all his love into it as if it were his child. This marked the beginning of our agritourism venture, and a few years ago, after finishing our university education, my twin brother and I took over from our parents, who had dedicated a significant portion of their professional lives to this business.

Every year, improvements are made, and following the launch of our dining services, we have recently opened three guest rooms with en-suite bathrooms. This has expanded our breakfast offerings, which are also available to guests staying in accommodations with their own kitchens upon request.

Nestled in a slice of land that boasts extraordinary excellence, it is a serene oasis perfect for walking, biking, and trekking excursions, complemented by nearby parks and museums. As a cradle of ancient Etruscan and Roman civilizations, the area has preserved numerous historical traces over the centuries, making it an ideal location to enjoy a unique experience characterized by a vibrant blend of sea, art, culture, and nature, all centered around wellness, sports, and gastronomy.

In a time when the subject of gastronomy and high-quality cooking has shifted from a cultural phenomenon to a spectacular media event, where image and trends overshadow the true value of the content, Agriturismo Il Piaggione has chosen to focus on simplicity, quality ingredients, and traditional home-style cooking. In an industry where many people try their hand at being chefs, we are fortunate to have the guidance and expertise of a cook with extensive knowledge and experience, allowing us to explore and revive ancient recipes from Tuscan culinary tradition.

In a cozy, welcoming family environment with only a few tables, we offer changing menus each time, organized around specific themes, but consisting of a limited number of dishes prepared fresh on the spot with great care, using carefully selected fresh ingredients sourced from local or regional products.

Our wine selection favors established wineries that utilize native grape varieties, rather than newer ones that only adhere to market trends focused on image and uniform taste.

We provide breakfast service, but do not offer half-board options.
