Il Casalino is a farmhouse with swimming pool, immersed in the unspoiled nature of the Basso Merse Reserve, halfway between Grosseto and Siena, a few minutes from the Terme di Petriolo, overlooking the hills of Montalcino.
A welcoming farmhouse away from traffic and noise. Isolated but close to cultural centers and natural oases. The ideal place to relax with walks in the woods or in our vineyard, or the starting point for excursions and food and wine trips in the Val d'Orcia.

We enjoyed a comfortable two-night stay in March 2016 with our two rescue greyhounds. The studio was clean and homely, with everything we could need for a short visit. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and the surroundings were beautiful and quiet. What else could you ask for?

We only stopped for one night, but it was really a shame because the place is wonderful, evocative, and well maintained. Lorenzo is super welcoming and helpful. I adored it and I will definitely return!

We had a great stay at Lorenzo and Mariagrace‘s place in Tuscany! We stayed there with our 4 month old baby for more than two weeks and it was an ideal getaway to slow down, in the middle of nature. The place has several apartments in stone buildings and ours was located on 1st floor - the decoration and interior was historic and full of small details. The kitchen was well equipped for all of our cooking needs. We enjoyed going to the pool in the middle of the field (a few metres away), away from the hustle and bustle. The place has a lot of different areas to hang out - like an outdoor kitchen or hammocks under trees. In general the accommodation is very remote and there is nothing near (Pari is 12 minutes drive away, a bigger supermarket 28 minutes) so a car and being aware that you need to drive is a must. Lorenzo and Mariagrace were extremely great hosts - cooking for us on the first and last night of our stay, bringing us some local vegetables and fruit from the market and in general, super super friendly and welcoming hosts. Our baby loved interacting with them! All in all it was a great stay - just keep in mind that it is more remote and obviously also very hot in Tuscany in August! Thank you to the hosts for making such a memorable stay for us and especially our baby!

Wonderful escape in the middle of nature. If you are nature people and like animals, you must choose Casalino! Spacious apartment with authentic furniture and decoration. Beautiful natural garden and spectacular views. Really cordial owners, very sweet people.

We had an amazing time staying at Agriturismo Il Casalino. The remote setting is beautiful and full of nature and wildlife. The rooms are rustic and comfortable with some modern touches. Breakfast is delicious and abundant. The hosts are amiable, kind, and attentive. We enjoyed a delicious home-cooked meal with them on one of the nights of our stay and had a great time getting to know them. I would recommend Agriturismo Il Casalino to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful, and enjoyable experience of the Italian countryside. One of the highlights of our trip!

Il Casalino is the best place if you want to spend a few days relaxing in the middle of nature. It is a magical place, we felt great, thanks also to Lorenzo's kindness, who has always been available and made us feel at home. Highly recommended to everyone, the rooms are really nice, and the pool is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding environment and nature. I hope to return soon.

Beautiful structure with a beautiful view. Immersed in greenery, where peace reigns. The managers are exquisite and helpful people. There is a pool available where you can relax. A wonderful surprise for us. We have planned to come back, maybe to stay a few more days.
