The Bed and Breakfast Porta San Frediano, is located in the "oltrarno", the “rive gauche” of Florence Town, the most ancient and characteristic quarter of Florence, at the beginning of the Historical Center. In the quarter you'll find churches of Carmine, Cestello, Santo Spirito, and beautiful Palazzo Pitti with the garden of Boboli. Crossing the Arno we are right in the center with all the beautiest of the museum to open sky that is Florence.

The atmosphere of the rooms is receiving and works them, rooms with services, heating, TV, Air conditioner. Near we have many restaurants, pizzerie, birrerie, Japan and Indian restaurant.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this Bed and Breakfast, and it was truly a delightful experience. One of the outstanding aspects of my stay was the incredibly welcoming and hospitable host. From the moment I arrived, they went out of their way to ensure I felt comfortable and at home. The rooms were equally impressive. They were spacious and impeccably clean. It was evident that the host takes great pride in maintaining a high standard of accommodation. Breakfast every morning was another highlight of my stay. There was a good variety of delicious options to choose from, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you prefer a hearty breakfast or something lighter, there was something for everyone. It was the perfect way to start each day. Additionally, the convenience of having a baggage drop-off option was a huge plus. It allowed me to explore the city without the burden of carrying my bags around, making my travel experience much more enjoyable.

The room was very basic and different from expectations considering the photos on the website. It was not very spacious, without a kitchenette, but the cleanliness and the value for money were good. The manager was very friendly. Unfortunately, the shower water became cold after not even a minute and although the problem was reported on the day of arrival, it remained for the entire stay.

Salve, la stanza dove ha soggiornato per 2 notti è presente nelle foto del sito, forse le è sfuggita, come la cucina in area comune che mi sembra strano non abbia visto. Riguardo al problema dell'acqua calda (che ha fatto presente il secondo giorno) le è stato detto che era necessario attendere (fare scorrere l'acqua) per 1 minuto perchè arrivasse calda, problema già risolto tra l'altro. Una precisazione riguardo al " prezzo" del soggiorno che è stato ottimo visto che ha soggiornato nella settimana del baratto e che non ha portato tutti i prodotti che avevamo pattuito...vabbè! Inoltre si è presentata con il suo dolce cane che ha dormito sopra il letto e non sul pavimento come le avevamo richiesto.

Great stay, walkable to the city and took the city bus a few times. Easy to navigate. Many places to eat nearby. Marco was great, accommodating as well. I traveled with two young kids, it worked well for them as well.

Marco is a charm, he explains everything very well, he is a short walk from the center, you can walk there without any problem. The breakfast is typically Italian, two pastries and coffee. For me, it is nothing out of the ordinary, but the pastries are good. I recommend the Affittacamere Porta San Frediano if I return to Florence, I repeat.

Lovely location away from the main tourist area, but only a 10-minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. Host was very helpful with recommendations and information. Great B&B for the price! Would 100% return.

Excellent structure, clean and welcoming! The center of Florence is about a kilometer away, but easily reachable with a walk. The owner, Marco, is an excellent host. The breakfast served in the pastry shop in front is excellent and plentiful. If we were to return to Florence, we would definitely choose this place again. Thank you.

The room was not the one shown in the picture with a loft but much smaller because it was not available. Dirty common balcony, broken shutter that did not close, no room cleaning/bed remaking between one night and the next and no towel change. For two nights it was fine for us because ultimately it had a very good location very close to the center, the owner was kind and available for any information needed, the breakfast was good in the pastry shop in front. Perhaps a bit expensive in terms of value for money, but for touring and seeing the city for 2 or 3 days it's more than fine.

The efficiency apartment was in a safe location near the train station and bus transportation. You could also walk (25 minutes) to the center of Florence or other sites. The breakfast from the nearby cafe (two pastries and coffee/water) was available at 6:30 and was delicious! The room was clean and neat and roomy. (It could use some TLC). Really liked (and used) the kitchenette and a fridge! I would definitely and highly recommend this bnb.

It was a very enjoyable stay at 'Affittacamere Porta San Frediano' because we had access to many facilities such as bars, restaurants, transportation, and even a supermarket. The owner was very kind, and I was extremely satisfied with his service. As for the room, everything was enjoyable, and we even had a balcony, but it could be cleaner. For the rest, a great deal.

The accommodation is well located to reach the center in 20 minutes. It is a bit old-fashioned but clean and functional. The owner is very friendly, had no problem with us arriving late. He informed us very well about everything we asked. It's a pleasure to meet people like him. Breakfast is 2 minutes away. They offer homemade sweets and also provide the option of savory. I would definitely recommend it.

The only flaw, unfortunately very evident and uncomfortable, was the lack of cleanliness in the room and, especially, in the kitchen. It was impossible to cook there. Structure located in the San Frediano district about 20 minutes walk from the center. The neighborhood is full of restaurants, bars, small craft shops, antique shops and art galleries, despite this the location is peaceful. Abundant breakfast served in the bar very close to the property. Marco, the manager, is kind, friendly and helpful with useful advice. Very satisfied. Excellent value for money.

After having done some research on the internet and stayed at the Affittacamere Porta San Frediano, I must say I made an excellent choice. Away from the chaos but very close to various points, economical, and with the possibility to cook. What else to say? One negative thing? The lack of a bidet.

Located in the borgo San Frediano, beautiful neighborhood full of bars, restaurants, wine bars, and artisan shops. The center of Florence is very easy to reach. Marco is very kind and helpful in meeting us both for check-in and check-out. We were greeted by his parents, wonderful, kind, and very friendly, they made us laugh a lot and showed us the best itineraries to visit Florence. The Affittacamere Porta San Frediano is clean and tidy, equipped with everything. Delicious breakfast in the pastry shop in front of the building. Mr. Marco was extremely kind, he waited for us upon arrival and also gave us good advice on what to see in Florence and where to eat traditional foods with an excellent quality/price ratio. Excellent breakfast. The location of the property allowed us to discover and experience a part of Florence that is perhaps less touristy but more authentic. On the day of departure, we were able to leave our luggage in storage until the afternoon, free of charge. In conclusion, a structure definitely worth recommending and a thank you to Mr. Marco.

The room is perfect for a couple who want to spend a few days in peace in Florence. You must be willing to walk a bit to reach the center, but this is also a plus: it gives you the opportunity to explore an area outside the chaos of the more central streets or closer to the station.

Structure located in a historic house, well maintained, well served by public transport, close to the historic center. Ideal point as a base for excursions also to other important Tuscan cities such as Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano etc. Paid parking for cars in the immediate vicinity, agreed with the structure. The manager Mr. Marco is a very cordial person and attentive to the needs of customers. We were happy with the stay, thank you.

Great solution for a short stay. In a quiet area with free parking spaces for cars and motorcycles. 15 minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio. Clean, tidy, and very kind manager for the morning welcome and information. The breakfast included in the price is served at a pastry shop in front. Recommended.

Located in a historic building in the characteristic San Frediano district, 10 minutes on foot from Ponte Vecchio and 50 meters from the 6B bus stop that will take you to the city center in the blink of an eye. The strong point of the structure is the "great" Marco, the manager of the B&B, who will instruct you on how to visit, where to eat, and anything you need to know about Florence and its surroundings. I recommend getting the Florence Card, which will allow you to experience the city in a different way by avoiding queues at museums and not having to keep your wallet always in hand for the various tickets. Breakfast at the bar downstairs with delicious freshly baked pastries accompanied by cappuccino or coffee. We spent four unforgettable nights. Goodbye Marco!
