From the garden, to your disposition, you can admire the Valdorcia that climbs toward the Amiata Mountain, Pienza and the fortress Aldobrandesca of Castiglion of Orcia.
In addition to relaxing in the tranquility of small restaurants in the village, you can purchase the good products typical of the Valdorcia (oil, cheese, wine) Recommended, if you will, by Guido.
During the summer you can attend performances of "Poor Theater" written and interpreted by the people of Montichiello.

Monticchiello, already in Etruscan and Roman times it was the meeting place of roads linking towns and communities in the area. Still retains the features of the austere medieval fortresses, decidedly opposing the picture to us by Renaissance Pienza. The sturdy walls and tower of the keep which stands on the hill are the signs of the intense past of the village, a bastion of the defense system of the Republic of Siena. It 'just with the passage under the protection of Siena that begins the story of Montichiello of which, in reality, we have news that dates back to long before the city, as evidenced by the fact that his name is done go back to the gens Roman Clelia. Since 1200, the village took its present shape with the walls, the keep and the church, and were established institutions of local authorities, all provided for and regulated by statutes in the vernacular. This was an amazing stay, it was so charming and in a great location. Guido and his aunt are amazing hosts. We had dinner reservations in town and he made sure to send over a drink while we were there, it was so kind and just next level service. His aunt cooks a delicious breakfast and helped make the morning enjoyable.

Top! Guido and Maria Gabriella are very friendly and welcoming! The accommodation is nice in the center of the village, the view over the fields of Tuscany is very beautiful. The breakfast is delicious with homemade sweets, Tuscan hams and cheeses. The owners are very helpful for anything (advice on what to visit around, restaurants...). We had a great time, highly recommended.

With guilty delay, I write this review but still with the magical place that hosted us for a weekend in my eyes and heart. Affittacamere Maria Gabriella is a magical place, immersed in nature (the sunset over the valley was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen) and a few km from all the beauty to see in Val D'Orcia; Guido and Simonetta are two perfect hosts, present with excellent advice and never intrusive. We hope to come back to enjoy even more the beautiful garden of the b&b, thank you very much for this wonderful holiday.

Great bed and breakfast run by aunt and nephew and after a while they become your aunt and cousin. Strategic point to visit the Val d'Orcia, to admire beautiful sunsets over Pienza and have several restaurants 150 meters away from the property which, with all the wines circulating in Val d'Orcia, is not trivial. Very satisfied.

The structure is very beautiful in a strategic position to visit the Val d'Orcia. My husband and I stayed at the 'La Lanciotta' annex located within the walls of the village and 150 meters from the main house where we had breakfast. We welcomed enthusiastically both the location of the annex, which is in a very quiet area and convenient for various needs, and the attention to detail in the furnishings. Guido and Aunt Simonetta are wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and very helpful people. We hope to return soon and stay again at 'La Lanciotta'.

I was looking for a place to stay near Bagno Vignoni. I couldn't find anything better! The B&B Maria Gabriella is an enchanted place. A splendid stone farmhouse with a beautiful and flowery garden from which you can enjoy the view of the nearby Pienza. A strategic point to explore the surroundings rich in history, spas, and wonderful views.
The rooms are clean and welcoming, as well as the hosts Guido and Aunt Simonetta who prepare excellent pastries for breakfast.
Everything is perfect. My new reference point in Tuscany.

We had a great stay, despite mediocre weather. Monticchiello is a charming little village, ideally located to visit the Val d'Orcia (including the nearby Pienza). The room was very pleasant and well decorated. Guido and his aunt were very attentive and welcomed us wonderfully.

Very helpful and always present manager, very comfortable and familiar environment. The location of the structure is excellent for getting around and visiting the area. The type of breakfast with homemade pastries is very much appreciated, well-kept outdoor spaces.
