Aristotele certainly referred to the Isle of Elba when he wrote about an Etruscan islet where iron and copper were mined. At that time the island was not only green because of its woods but also red of fires and so Aristotele wrote about it with the name of Aethalia, the Latin word for spark. Such history suggested us the name of our B&B situated in the green heart of the National Park of the Tuscan archipelago, just on a hill overlooking the beautiful bay and town of Portoferrraio. The landlady personally welcomes guests who can enjoy a relaxing holiday in a quiet and hospitable setting, far from the trraffic and noises of the town.
The special location allows an easy access to the wonderful and renowned beaches of Sottobomba, Capo Biamco, Padulella, Le Ghiaie, Prunini, Seccione, Acqua Viva, Viticcio and Enfola, all on the northern coast of the island. at the same time the historical town centre and the seaport of Portoferrraio are only 2 kms away, so that you can easily visit them and enjoy their numerous sights.
Breakfast, which is rich and abundant, mainly consists of sweets, hot and cold drinks, marmalade, bread, yoghurt, cereals, fruit and biscuits. B&B AETHALIA has rooms on two floors and an adjoined small house, all with wi-fi Internet connection, tv lcd and mini bar. The rooms on the second floor and the independent house can take advantage of a kichenette and have air-conditioning. It is also possible to play table tennis and pin-ball.
B&B AETHALIA also has an agreement with: - Blue Points for the rental of beach facilities on the Biodola and Le Ghiaie beaches; - Car rental Chiappi (cars, scooters, sailing boats and rubber dinghies at reduced prices);

We also offer our guests a fully equipped kitchen outside, however repaired (not open). The use may be requested the day before or that morning. The fee for use is 7 euro.

Breakfast served from the Bed and Breakfast Aethalia, is composed of a variety of delicacies typical of the island prepared by Nunzia, the owner of the b & b. Si ranging from empty croissant with jam and cream to rice pudding, from fruit juices ace, orange, pineapple with various cuts of meats such as bacon, ham, salami typical of the island. Exceptional circumstances and at the request of clinte also prepare omelettes cooked eggs and other tasty things on time and inventiveness of the owner Nunzia.
