Description

"Vista sul Duomo" is located on the first floor of a renovated old building from the 1930s. The interior combines the black of ancient pitch stone in the floors and the white of the walls, blending antique style at the entrance and on the stairs with modern and cozy design in the rooms and breakfast room. The structure enjoys an enviable location, situated in the panoramic area of Ragusa Ibla, from which you can enjoy a privileged view of the Dome of San Giorgio, immersed in the frame of the Iblei Mountains in the background. It is also easily accessible from any direction by private means, with no worries about parking, which is completely free. The structure consists of two double rooms, tastefully furnished with quality and comfort in mind. Each room has a private bathroom with a hairdryer, free wifi, TV, air conditioning, and the possibility of adding a third bed upon request. Breakfast is served in a bright and comfortable room. In addition to classic coffee, tea, or milk accompanied by biscuits and croissants, which you can choose, our structure is pleased to offer typical Sicilian foods (cannoli, cassatine, etc.), seasonal fruit, and continental breakfast upon request.

Area Ibla

Ragusa Ibla is placed in the heart of “Val di Noto”. A wonderful area that every year attracts lots of visitors because of its elegance and peaceful. Moreover, thanks to its mild weather the ancient town offers a pleasant stay throughout the year.
Once you arrive you will be able to walk along small streets and narrow lanes and its typical staircases; for its numerous churches to visit and in particular for the “Duomo” of Saint George, a rare example of baroque architecture of Mr. Gagliardi.
Ragusa Ibla, part of our UNESCO heritage, is known to the television audience as the place of “Il Commissario Montalbano”; it also boasts an enviable geographical position.
Indeed, it is 25 minutes far from the airport “V. Magliocco” of Comiso; 30 minutes far from white sandy beaches of iblea coast; 50 minutes far from Noto, Marzamemi and Portopalo. From here you can visit the nearest “Castello di Donnafugata”, Punta Secca, Scicli and all places of Montalbano. You can also visit the exceptional sceneries, with dry stone walls and the old quarries as “Cava della Misericoridia”.
In Ragusa Ibla there are also a lot of cultural and folkloristic events: “Ibla Grand Prize” a musical event with musicians and singers from all over the world, in July; “Ibla Buskers” a festival of street artists, in October; there are also ceremonies and processions during Easter week; there is also the feast of the patron saint of Ragusa “Saint George”, that is between the last Sunday of May and the first Sunday of June.

Amazing place! So close to beautiful City centre and highly positioned! There were such nice personal touches to my Birthday stay and I was very pleased and very happy! The breakfast was so beautifully served and was simply AMAZING. Definitely recommend this place to others and will stay again, if visiting Ragusa in my future travels.

The B&B Vista sul Duomo is located behind the San Giorgio Cathedral (reachable on foot in 3 minutes) in an enviable position. Simple but well-kept rooms equipped with every comfort, one of the two has a small balcony with a spectacular view of the dome of the San Giorgio Cathedral. Good breakfast carefully prepared by the owner's parents. The structure is easily accessible by car and parking can be found without problems, moreover, the owner, before arrival, provided us with the document to subscribe to the ZTL pass (valid only in the evening). The owner is a very helpful and kind person, always ready for any need. Highly recommended B&B for a holiday in Ragusa Ibla and surroundings.

Unfortunately, the maximum rating allowed was 10, but I would have given 100 to the facility! Brand new, very clean, spacious rooms with all amenities, air conditioning, TV, fridge and microwave in the breakfast room, coffee machine. Extremely abundant and delicious breakfast, great location just 5 minutes from the Ragusa Cathedral. The owners are very kind, with legendary welcoming and courtesy. Highly recommended.

Very central location to visit Ragusa Ibla, just steps away from the Cathedral. Clean and very comfortable room. Giovanni and his family are very kind and even left us some fresh fruit in the room. We only stayed one night but we definitely recommend it.

Excellent location, you can reach the center immediately by walking through narrow streets, excellent, in its simplicity the structure, the owners kindly accommodated the request to stay in the room with a view, they also provided, before our arrival, heating in the room.
