Description

The Valle dell'Acanto farmhouse takes its name from the wonderful landscape of the valley where it is located. The presence of acanthus leaves has been a true source of inspiration for us.

This structure, which dates back to the late 19th century, was once a farmhouse, although there have been settlements in this area for much longer. In fact, a cave was discovered that was used as a place of worship in the past and has had various functions over the centuries.

In 2008, it was renovated while maintaining the original appearance both in the materials used and in the simple and linear style.

For nature lovers, this is the ideal place to spend a vacation in total relaxation and surrounded by greenery.

Each apartment is equipped with heating, air conditioning, and a bathroom with a shower. The outdoor space is equipped with a pergola, table, chairs, a shared laundry room, and a barbecue. Additionally, there is a swimming pool with a solarium, a green lawn, and a playground for children.

My name is Tina and since 2008, together with my husband Filippo, we manage Valle dell'Acanto. We welcome guests who want to have a connection with nature and local traditions, we handle communication and take care of the crops. The host is an extremely courteous and helpful person. He is always present in order to prevent and/or resolve any issues. Never intrusive. He showed a humanity that is increasingly rare today. He went out of his way to provide us with suggestions and the best advice so that our holiday in this wonderful land would be truly special.

This is not a farmhouse. There is no catering service and no products from on-site crops or livestock. These are rental apartments with shared spaces, including the swimming pool. The pool does not have a shallow area for children; it has a constant depth of about 1.50 m and there is no lifeguard. Around the pool there are wooden sunbeds without cushions, so they are very uncomfortable. The outdoor areas belonging to the apartments have no hedges or partitions dividing them, so there is a total lack of privacy.

Everything was fine. Excellent location for visiting Modica and the Ragusa area. The owners were very kind. Everything was very well maintained. The apartment was perfect. We need to return.
