Description

Makari is three Km far from San Vito Lo Capo, between the enchanting Gulf of Cofano and the wonderful mountains of the Zingaro Oriented Nature Reserve.

The small town is about 80 metres above the sea level and overlook one of the most suggestive sceneries of Sicily.

You can admire it from the observation platform of Torre Salina.

I had a wonderful stay at this BnB. As a solo traveler, my hosts were so lovely and treated me like I was part of the family. The hosts only speak Italian, but we managed to get by with lots of hand signals and Google Translate. To be honest, most places I visited in Sicily did not speak English, so I did not have any issues. I had a beautiful view from my room and was lucky to visit after peak season and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I will recommend it. Grazie.

Quiet and very functional location, a few kilometers away from the hustle and bustle of San Vito. The structure is clean and well maintained. The Torre Salina room has a beautiful sea view. The owners are very kind and willing to give advice.

Make sure to ask what type of room you will be given. The b&b is located in a beautiful position, the prices are quite high (115€ per night for 2 people), but the structure has rooms that overlook the beautiful panorama of the Gulf of Macari, and if you are assigned those, the price can be justified. The surprise came at my arrival, I was assigned a room that, although comfortable, overlooked the mountain side, and at that point the price became excessive. In all structures there is a sea view that costs more than rooms without a sea view. When I asked for explanations, I was told that if I wasn't happy upon arrival, I was free to give up and go elsewhere. I find the conduct, in addition to being impolite, extremely incorrect. This detail should have been communicated in advance, especially since we had also spoken on the phone. At that point, in my humble opinion, the room could no longer have the same price for obvious reasons, as the conditions had changed and no longer met my expectations. The management did not want to listen to reason and in no way come to meet me.

We liked it, you live well and you feel good in the structure, it is not directly on the sea but it is easily reachable. The managers are very kind. The bed well cared for.

Beautiful structure. Clean and very welcoming. Owners are helpful and very kind. The breakfast is delicious, very abundant and with a lot of choices, from croissants to cakes. The location is excellent, quiet place and close to the sea.
