We loved our stay here over three nights. The property is even more lovely than in the photos. We stayed in the suite on the third floor and had access to three balconies, two of which overlook the Valley of the Temples. Francesco was a wonderful host and had great suggestions for restaurants and the sites to see. There is a parking garage close by if you are travelling by car. Highly recommended.

This was a beautiful B&B with the most charming host, Francesco. He lives at the property, and it is his family home. Francesco helped us with travel arrangements and gave recommendations for dining. It is near many bars and restaurants, and not too far from bus stops and the train station.

Excellent B&B - wonderful host and a wonderfully decorated house!

The accommodation and our host Francesco were a delight. Francesco was charming and informative, giving us tips for restaurants and arranging taxis. He suggested the best way to see the Valley of the Temples – in the early evening as the sun was going down, thus avoiding the heat of the day and the crowds. We loved his collection of family history and the stories behind it. We can highly recommend Terrazze di Montelusa.

This property is like a gallery, full of interesting pieces, beautifully curated by Francesco, the host. The rooms are large and very clean and close to the centre of town. Francesco is the epitome of perfect B&B host. When we struggled to find the location he stayed on the phone with us for 10min, patiently guiding us through the streets of Agrigento. There is a lovely view from the terrace and an excellent breakfast.

In a good central location, the bed-and-breakfast is positively characterized by the beautiful flowering panoramic terraces and the tasteful decor with valuable antique pieces. Exquisite and friendly welcome, large rooms, and good breakfast with local products. A small problem with noise from external motors was solved by changing rooms. Great charm, also recommended for the right quality-price ratio.

5-star palazzo steeped in the history of Agrigento. Spacious, well-appointed beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Exceptional buffet breakfast. Francesco is a responsive, engaging host who graciously shares his family's history with the property. He provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and foresee the sites of Agrigento. The Palazzo has an outstanding location, right in the historic district. However, parking is challenging.

The best B&B we have stayed at. Francesco is very kind and always willing to help. The views from the terraces of the Terrace de Montelusa are incredible. We recommend it.

Accommodation of high artistic value, full of history and memories. Francesco is a character in himself, multilingual and very cultured. Spacious room decorated with paintings, with refined taste. The issue of car access and parking are the only shadows of this very pleasant and interesting stay.

Beautiful accommodation in the old town of Agrigento with a warm host. The decor is very stylish. The wonderfully planted terraces overlook the old town down to the Valley of the Temples. We were thrilled and will definitely come back.

After staying there for two nights, we are convinced that it is a true gem in Agrigento, as unmissable as the Valley of the Temples. Between the beautiful building of the palace, the room decoration worthy of a “castle life,” the plentiful and delicious breakfast, the breathtaking view, the ideally central location, and especially the warm and attentive welcome from Francesco… everything is perfect and everything is done to make you feel good. A place that will remain etched in our memories and that we warmly recommend.

This was a superb bed and breakfast, in a very atmospheric area of the old city of Agrigento. Francesco was a very kind and courteous host, with a great knowledge of the area's history. We hope to return again sometime in the future.

Absolutely fantastic. Terrazze di Montelusa has it all, spectacular views, spacious and surprisingly decorated rooms, fabulous breakfast and above all, a very charming host who took every opportunity to make our stay “unforgettable”. A thousand thanks Francesco.

Francesco was so nice and the room was amazing and large. A roof top with a great view and our room had a balcony as well. Definitely will stay there the next time we are in Agrigento.

Note that arriving is a bit challenging physically but you are provided excellent instructions for parking and walking to the B&B. Warm and knowledgeable welcome! Magnificent setting, with terraces overlooking the valley of the Temples in the distance.

It's hard to describe in a few words this place full of charm and history. Located in a historic building in the center of Agrigento, yet in a remarkably quiet and peaceful area, the rooms and common areas are furnished with a variety of objects with a story, including paintings, fans, original antique furniture, photographs of the host's family. All furnishings have been carefully chosen by Francesco, who has managed to enrich the spaces without turning them into a museum. Beyond all expectations are the 3 terraces, two of which overlook the Valley of the Temples, where you can have breakfast in the shade among the plants. Another special mention goes to the host, who excels in hospitality and engaging conversations. Excellent breakfast, plentiful and with high-quality local products.

Francesco's house is spectacular in every way: beautiful, comfortable, and above all individual - you really feel like his guest, like a friend of the family. Breakfast on the roof terrace was memorable, and we really wished we could have stayed much longer... it was by far the nicest place we stayed in Sicily and the highlight of our trip.

Our stay at Terrazze Di Montelusa was absolutely wonderful! Our host was most gracious, giving us a tour of his fabulous art and historical fan collection as well as giving us a history of the property and area. The property has three patios, all comfortably furnished and with breathtaking views of the area to include the sea and Greek ruins. Our room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed. Breakfast offered a wide variety of foods. The B&B is well situated in the historical district of Agrigento. My only concern was that there was no parking in the immediate area, but the garage was not too far away and very inexpensive. We would stay here again!

Lovely property with expansive terraces overlooking the city. Francesco is an outstanding host that is readily available, full of useful suggestions, and puts on an excellent breakfast. Like many of the more interesting B&Bs in Sicily, parking is a challenge.

We stayed at the most interesting place in the whole island. It is like a secret oasis in the town of Agrigento. The owner is genuine! His exquisite taste is shown not only in the walls of the property but also in the lovely breakfast and marvelous terraces. Enjoy your stay as we did with ours.

One of the best places I’ve ever been to. Francesco is such a nice host, with a unique property that he loves (and his cat is pretty nice too!) The rooms are beautiful, everything was so clean and the place is very well located. Breakfast is fantastic and served on the rooftop terraces that are fabulous. We’ll be back!

Exceptional. We loved it. We started with the welcome from Francisco, we toured the apartment with advice, explanations, orientation, history. An exceptional apartment, beautiful with several terraces with superb views. Magnificent equipment, paintings, piano, historical objects giving a very localized atmosphere. Very comfortable and quiet room. The highlight, breakfast on the terrace with a magnificent view, top-notch service :) and a delicious homemade content. I RECOMMEND and I keep from my road trip to Sicily, an exceptional memory, this stop. A big thank you Francisco and Bravo again.

Absolutely fantastic.

Francesco was the most charming host. From our welcome at the door, he was kind and generous. We shared a delightful plate of pastries along with an excellent cappuccino on one of his most beautiful terraces. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The breakfast offered a lot of variety, taste and was plentiful, and the coffees were hot and perfect. We even played duets on his lively piano, which was a real treat for me as I had been missing playing for the last two weeks. I can't imagine a more wonderful place than Terrazze when coming to Agrigento. You won't find a better tour guide or host. We will miss him!

If you love art and history, this is the place to stay. The place has a soul and is decorated with stunning works of art that delighted our eyes and spirit. The rooms are lovely and we would return to Agrigento just to stay in a different room and enjoy its decoration. The view from the terraces over the city, the Valley of the Temples, and the sea is superb! The breakfast is plentiful, homemade, and delicious. But above all, our host (multilingual, Italian, French, English, and German) gave us a charming, sincere, and warm welcome, passionate and very knowledgeable about the history of the places, the city, and Sicily. An address well above the average for us.

What a fabulous host, just wonderful. He is so interesting and knowledgeable and made our stay so enjoyable. The building, the furnishings, and its history are fascinating.

Especially the host is just amazing, not only helpful and friendly as one would wish - but a host who makes you feel at home, knows all about history of the city and surroundings and music and... The palace is stunning and Francesco is a great host. He spent time chatting with us and shared much of the history of the building and his own family. The place is full of art and each room has its own style. We booked two lovely, spacious and nicely-decorated double rooms. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The presence of the two cats is a plus! Breakfast was also great, with a buffet offering lots of choices of savoury things, local biscuits, croissants, jams and marmalade, fresh fruits and freshly squeezed orange juice. We had a lovely one night stay.

Francesco was a wonderful host, he met us outside of his place and found us free parking right in front. He took time to show us around and explained the history of his beautiful home. The room was very clean, lots of room and very centrally located. Breakfast was fresh and good and the outside rooftop decks were amazing. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it.

This B&B located in an old family residence is a charming little gem full of charm and history. Francesco, the owner, is warm and available and will advise you on good addresses (restaurants, visits, excursions). The quiet room is comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated and has efficient air conditioning. The offered breakfast is varied and plentiful: pastries, fruit juices, yogurts, jams, honey, fresh fruit, cheese, etc. And on beautiful days you can enjoy the beautiful flowered terraces of the B&B overlooking the old town, the Valley of the Temples and the sea. An address we recommend without hesitation.

Though unassuming (and a bit hard to spot) from the outside, Terrazze di Montelusa is anything but once you start up the sweeping staircase. Everything is utterly charming — the kind and helpful host, Francesco; the interior decor; and the two beautiful resident cats. The terraces are awesome, two with views of the ancient temples in the distance. Our room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was a lovely, full spread including fresh fruit, croissants, breads, pastries, cheeses, ham, and juices. Francesco provided excellent driving directions and wonderful recommendations for restaurants and a nearby beach. Would happily return!

We think that 8:30 to open breakfast is too late. Maybe 7:30 could suit better.

I highly recommend staying at the Terrazze di Montelusa. What a gem! The host Frank was very gracious and told us all about his family home that has become the B&B. The view overlooks the Valley of the Temples... what a view!

Francesco, the owner of the place immediately made us feel at ease and warmly welcomed us with a glass of fruit juice, presenting his property and the history of his house at length. He gave us sightseeing tips. We stayed in the so-called "Junior Suite", which was huge and cozy. We were able to enjoy the terrace and its magnificent view, where we had breakfast. Very good breakfast with typical Italian products and also croissants (we are French after all!). I highly recommend this B&B for its location, the owner's hospitality, and the property itself. Thank you Francesco! You are amazing.

A wonderful place to stay in Agrigento. Positioned nicely near the Duomo and Santa Maria dei Greci. The place is immaculate with extra care in the details. Beautiful terraces! Francesco was exceptionally helpful. He has a special fascinating collection too.

This is an outstanding place to stay in Agrigento’s old town, 10 mins walk from the duomo and around the corner from Via Aetna, where all the restaurants are located. It is called Terrazze di Montelusa but is much, much more. It consists of a large townhouse dating to 1820 with numerous terraces that look over the Valley of the Temples and beyond to the sea. The house has been in the host's family and run as a hotel for generations and is filled with artefacts, paintings, vintage photographs and works of art. Marble floors and elegant furnishings feature in all the rooms. The host, Francesco, is absolutely delightful and incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Agrigento and much more. He was always helpful and on hand to offer recommendations and advice. Nothing was too much trouble. He also had a huge sense of fun and if guests are fortunate they may hear him playing Chopin waltzes on his grand piano. Breakfasts were a delight - Sicilian pastries, cheeses, hams, fresh fruit, yogurts and more, all enjoyed on the top terrace. It really was one of the best stays we have experienced and is incredibly good value. We would love to return. Thank you Francesco!

I should practice deviant behavior, giving all zeros, so this treasure does not become overrun. I stayed here a decade ago, and it was so memorable, I booked it immediately when I knew I’d be in Agrigento. Francesco is elegant, kind, a great host, and it’s obvious he loves his city as well as hosting his B&B guests. Everything—EVERYTHING—is top-notch. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. We almost had to, but that’s a funny story for another venue.

He has renovated perfectly, keeping the ambiance of a classic Italian villa with all the modern conveniences that make it comfortable. Lovely terraces to enjoy your own aperitif or get a take away from the restaurant next door. It’s a short walk to the Main Street of restaurants and shops.

The best place in Agrigento.

Terrazze di Montelusa is a particularly appealing accommodation in Agrigento. The rooms are lovingly and tastefully decorated. Breakfast is freshly prepared. The management is friendly and attentive. The location is excellent, in the center. The main street is just around the corner, an Italian grocery store with plenty of fresh fruit practically in the house, and some restaurants within easy walking distance. With a GPS, you can easily get to the door. The highlight are the terraces with a fantastic view of the Valley of the Temples and the sea.

Wonderful stay at the Terrazze di Montelusa, an elegant and homey B&B. Our host Francesco was extremely welcoming and shared the history of the building and of his family, who have been the owners for several generations. The views from the terrace are the best in town and stretch down to the sea. A 7-minute drive to the Valley of the Temples. Highly recommend.

Clean and very well-furnished rooms, breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Valley of the Temples, very kind manager and excellent speaker and connoisseur of the history of his country, fantastic experience, highly recommended for a stay in Agrigento.

The B&B Terrazze di Montelusa is a dream, the Junior Suite is even more. This B&B is managed by Mr. Francesco, a very knowledgeable, friendly, cordial, and helpful person. The B&B is located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of an ancient building in the historic center of Agrigento. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed by Mr. Francesco, along with his very tender kittens, and he told us the story of his family, showing us the numerous vintage photos that populate the B&B; with his stories, you experience an atmosphere of wonderful memories. He also recommended various places to eat and the tour to do in the city to visit the most important places, including the wonderful Valley of the Temples which is only 7 minutes away by car. While waiting for our room to be ready, Mr. Francesco delighted us by playing the piano located at the entrance of the B&B. Then, the friendly Francesco took us to our room, the Junior Suite (the only one on the 3rd floor), a very spacious, roomy, and well-furnished room, with two balconies overlooking Piazza Lena, a very charming sitting area, and a large bathroom equipped with all the comforts. Finally, he took us to the terraces, the most suggestive part of the B&B, where breakfast is served. For those staying in the Junior Suite, the icing on the cake is that they can also enjoy the terraces outside breakfast hours, and I can assure you that the view of all Agrigento and the Temples is an emotion hard to forget, especially in the evening. If you want to visit Agrigento, the B&B Terrazze di Montelusa is the best choice you can make. My advice is to book the Junior Suite, it's wonderful!

Francesco and his facility were just awesome. We loved Agrigento and Francesco and his facility were the major reason. His hospitality and recommendations were spot on. The breakfasts and sitting where we overlooked the entire area were an awesome way to start the day. To top all, my husband's Fitbit fell off and Francesco quickly called us after we left. Plus, he mailed it to our next stop so we could have it before returning to the US. We fully recommend staying in this place. (Our GPS easily navigated us to his place. Suggest you use, too!).

Central location. Well-kept structure with its terraces offering an open view of the sea, the Valley of the Temples, and the rooftops of the city. The manager warmly welcomes you, hosts you, and accompanies you in his meticulously cared for home as well as the directions he takes care to send before your arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Terrazze di Montelusa. The B&B is decorated with many lovely paintings as well as photos of family members that accent the history of the B&B, and the old part of Agrigento. Terrazze di Montelusa is perched high up on the hill overlooking the Valley of the Temples and the sea. We had breakfast on the beautiful terrace which provides a panoramic view. We highly recommend Terrazze di Montelusa and would certainly stay here again.

I came to Agrigento for just one night to see the Valley of the Temples, and was lucky enough to stay in this charming B&B. Visiting with Francesco over tea or breakfast was a window into generations of Southern Sicily family life. The rooms and full apartments vary greatly in size and decor from historic eras. And the views from the rooftop terraces above the valley are world class. An easy walk from the train station or the bus. I hope I'll have an excuse to return.

Francesco was very welcoming and we loved staying in his beautiful family home. We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Valley of the Temples and the sea. A very special place.

We stayed only one night at this B&B, but it was a truly fascinating experience. We were greeted by the owner, Mr. Francesco Foti, who is the refined director of what is not just a simple stay for passing tourists but, thanks to his style, quickly becomes an experience. The B&B rooms are inside an ancient and large apartment in the historic center of Agrigento, particularly in the living room, furnished with antique furniture, a grand piano is on display with many scores placed on top, in an artistic disorder, many paintings on the walls: classics and also many old family photos. While Mr. Francesco was preparing the paperwork and documents for our stay, he told us the story of his ancient family, with Sicilian and French origins, the story of his grandmother, who appears in several vintage photos, and thus we immersed ourselves in an atmosphere of memories, of events that become the common thread of a story of the palace, the family, memories, the love for his two cats that happily coexist with the lucky guests of the B&B, and finally his passion for music. While he entertained us, two English guests returned, who were leaving, and immediately, caught by sudden enthusiasm, he told the lady that he had found the two scores (Brahms and Schubert I think) she was looking for, at the same time informing us that she was a pianist. They sat at the piano and played the two pieces together, which ended with our applause. It was truly suggestive, it felt like being part of a movie script. For some reason, it reminded me of James Ivory's film 'A Room with a View' and in those moments it made us feel more like travelers than tourists. Then, entering the room we found the same style, the antique furnishings, his constant attempt to give the house the charm of the past. So much attention to detail, the passion for decoration and the family's history. Then, we must remember the terraces surrounding the top floor, where breakfast is served, and which give the B&B its name. Practically an attic with antique furnishings, paintings and family photos in quantity, surrounded by large terraces with plants, chairs and tables, and above all, with a vast view over Agrigento, from the Valley of the Temples to the sea, to the oldest neighborhoods. In the morning, on the day of our departure, while the two waitresses were serving the guests, he gave suggestions, and made sure that all the Sicilian specialties he had expressly brought were tasted: more like a host with distinguished guests than a B&B owner. Finally, he was very kind to give us all the information about the archaeological path, very useful and which saved us effort, not least he booked dinner for us, directly with the owner at a fantastic restaurant 'Sal8' where besides eating very well we received an extremely attentive and courteous treatment. Only regret? We stayed too short!

Had an amazing two-night stay with Francesco. He really is the perfect host. Makes you feel really welcome, is very knowledgeable, and gave us some great tips on how to organize our time so we saw everything. The B&B itself is stunning, beautifully decorated, and has everything you need. We stayed in the Junior Suite (301). If you can get this room, it's the one to get! You get access to 3 terraces. 2 only accessible to this room after breakfast time. From the main terrace, you get amazing views of Agrigento and can see the temples. Couldn't recommend the place enough.

Francesco is an exciting person who speaks excellent French. All the advice and explanations given are of high quality. As for the comfort, we are close to a high-end hotel. Carpets, paintings, and works of art are part of the decor. In conclusion, an excellent address not to be missed if you are in Agrigento.

Francesco is really lovely and goes out of his way to provide information to his clients. He even called to book a cruise on a sailboat for us. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The only thing we could regret is the breakfast time at 8:30, it's a bit late for us. But we must be special cases.

Our room was huge, comfy, bright & light, sparkling clean, with a lovely big bathroom and large fluffy white towels. Breakfast was a treat, fresh fruit (ripe to eat now), freshly cooked omelette, delicious pastries, cheese, prosciutto, coffee, tea, juice; the breakfast room is so pretty, we enjoyed eating on the terrace with sweeping views to the sea and the 'Valley of the Temples'. Just magic. Francesco is full of wonderful helpful information and good restaurant recommendations. One night here was not long enough. Thank you Francesco for making our stay in Agrigento special.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the B&B "Terrazze di Montelusa" in early August and we are extremely happy to have chosen this accommodation. Francesco, the owner, welcomed us immediately with great warmth and enthusiasm. Francesco is a "volcano of ideas and energy" that made us feel at home, providing excellent suggestions for both restaurants and activities in the area. The property is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a historic 1800s building, carefully renovated by Francesco, maintaining the style of the historic residence in the furnishings with many paintings and prints, a grand piano, all signs of Francesco's passion for history, art, and music. We chose the suite on the 3rd floor, very spacious, very refined and romantic in the furnishings, with a very large bed and a very comfortable bathroom. For those who choose the suite (at absolutely modest and honest prices) there is the privilege of being able to use the 2 east side terraces even outside breakfast hours, and I assure you that the view over all Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples is spectacular, especially at sunset and in the evening with the temples illuminated. The breakfast is very well taken care of and rich in choice, nothing is missing, and enjoyed on the terrace it becomes the most pleasant and relaxing moment of the day. A little earthly paradise, as soon as you leave you will want to come back because everything is perfect. "Calm, luxury, and voluptuousness " as Voltaire would say, I would add the kindness and care of an extraordinary host.

What an outstanding place and an outstanding host. Located in a great area in the old city portion of Agrigento, this is a gem. The rooftop space is gorgeous and a perfect spot for breakfast and for watching the sunset. The host is outstanding, and remarkably kind and knowledgeable. His recommendations were tremendous (check out the marina he suggests!) and we loved staying here. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Francesca is a generous, thoughtful, and charming host. We were shown local points of interest on a map, provided with the family history of this historic hotel, introduced to the cats, and assisted with car parking. Room spaces were generous, and we felt welcome to use other areas, such as the rooftop terraces, whenever we wished. The breakfasts were delightful, offering variety with seasonal fruits perfectly selected. Our best experience at an Airbnb ever was here. Hard to find but well worth the effort. Stairs with heavy luggage may be too hard for some to manage.

Francesco is a very pleasant host, discreet and available. His B&B is refined and seems to belong to a bygone era of politeness, distinction, and good taste. The only reproach that can be made is the use of plastic glasses for the fruit juice. It doesn't go with everything else and it's not ecological. Otherwise, it's perfect.

We stayed two nights at Terrazze di Montelusa, which is located in the center. The property offers a splendid panoramic terrace for breakfast and rooms furnished with great taste. Also, the value for money is excellent, perfect!

We love this property. It’s a big walk up some stairs but once you get there, it is very worth it. The proprietor was very very helpful. The view of the Valley of the Temples and the city below is beautiful.

Francesco was the most fascinating, elegant, cultured, and incredibly friendly host of our entire stay in Sicily. His kindness is astonishing: he tells us the story of his family as if we were his first "guests" and each of our countless questions we asked him about his home or about Agrigento and the history of Sicily he answered with clarity, finesse, great culture, and intelligence. His magnificent house, in a perfect location to visit the historic center on foot, is an oasis of calm, charm, beauty, and lovely decorations. Francesco is a warm and attentive man of the world, who took care to translate in his perfect French the conversations he had with his Sicilian compatriots and vice versa which made you feel like you were on vacation with friends. Breakfast was a pure pleasure both visually and taste-wise and before our departure, he gave us a small piano recital. This stay was a highly recommended enchanted moment for all those sensitive to the refinement and charm of a family home. It is rare to encounter so many artistic and intellectual qualities and moralities, so much elegance of heart and mind in one person. We were more than seduced! Magnificent rooms in the heart of the city.

Absolutely delightful pensione run by Francesco, who speaks perfect English and tries very hard to make everyone's stay a pleasure. We had a suite with a private terrace and from the roof-top terrace you can watch the sunset to the west or see the temples of Akragas to the south-east. Not cheap for a 'bed-and-breakfast but good value for a boutique hotel to which it bears a good deal of resemblance. My only gripe - why do we have to call these places bed and breakfasts now? I liked the Italian pensione.

A charming, discreet and cultured hotel that welcomes you as a guest, honors you with its beautiful house, located right in the heart of historic Agrigento, rooms and reception on the 2nd floor, with a common lounge, the breakfast area on the 3rd floor with a dining room and 2 beautiful flowered terraces, special attention from the host, assisted by 2 employees and the cherry on top perfectly French-speaking, you have lunch overlooking the Temple of Concord, a dream. This bed and breakfast is in a fabulous location and has a wonderful host, Francesco, who has lots of information on Agrigento, The Temples, the history of the area, and he will even play the piano for you, which was wonderful. The bed and breakfast is in the heart of Agrigento minutes from the bars and restaurants and a short walk to the Cathedral (all uphill!) but the best part is the views from the terrace that overlooks the valley of the temples and the location where you have your breakfast. It was truly stunning.
