Lovely property with expansive terraces overlooking the city. Francesco is an outstanding host that is readily available, full of useful suggestions, and puts on an excellent breakfast. Like many of the more interesting B&B in Sicily, parking is a challenge.

We stayed at the most interesting place in the whole island. It's like a secret oasis in the Agrigento town. The owner is genuine! His exquisite taste is shown not only in the walls of the property but also in the lovely breakfast, and marvelous terraces. Enjoy your stay as we did with ours.

The most delightful property and host. Francesco was a pleasure to deal with, and very helpful in terms of planning our visit to Agrigento. The property itself is stunning, beautifully decorated with three different terraces to enjoy the view across the historic centre. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

One of the best places I’ve ever been to. Francesco is such a nice host, with a unique property that he loves (and him cat is pretty nice too!) The rooms are beautiful, everything was so clean and the place is very well located. Breakfast is fantastic and served at the rooftop terraces that are fabulous. We’ll be back!

Francesco was an amazing host! We can not say enough wonderful things about this Bed and Breakfast and it’s host. The history of the house, the location, the beautiful rooms and the spectacular view from the top terrace was breathtaking. Thank you Francesco for such a wonderful stay and experience in Agrigento.

Absolutely fantastic.

Francesco was the most charming host. From our welcome in the door he was kind and giving. We shared a lovely plate of sweets along with an excellent cappuccino on one of his most beautiful patios. The rooms are large and well appointed. The breakfast had lots of variety, taste and was plentiful and the coffees hot and perfect. We even got to play duets at his lively piano, which was such a treat for me as I’d been missing playing the last two weeks. I cannot imagine a more wonderful place than Terrazze when coming to Agrigento. You will not find a better tour guide or host. We shall miss him!

Well situated at the top of the main street with easy access to the sights and restaurants, as well as convenient parking at a great value. Host is exceptional and the place is full of fascinating things.

What a fabulous host, just wonderful. He is so interesting and knowledgeable and made our stay so enjoyable. The building the furnishings and its history is fascinating.

Normal rating is not sufficient to describe this B&B - it deserves more than 10 points. Especially the host is just amazing, not only helpful and friendly as one would wish - but a host who makes you feel at home, knows all about history of the city and surroundings and music and... Grazie Francesco.

The palace is stunning and Francesco is a great host. He spent time chatting with us and shared much of the history of the building and his own family. The place is full of art and each room has its own style. We booked two lovely, spacious and nicely-decorated double rooms. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The presence of the two cats is a plus! Breakfast was also great, with a buffet offering lots of choices of savoury things, local biscuits, croissants, jams and marmalade, fresh fruits and freshly squeezed orange juice. We had a lovely one night stay.

Francesco was a wonderful host, he met us outside of his place and found us free parking right in front. He took time to show us around and explained the history of his beautiful home. The room was very clean, lots of room and very centrally located. Breakfast was fresh and good and the outside rooftop decks were amazing. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it.

Though unassuming (and a bit hard to spot) from the outside), Terazze di Montelusa is anything but once you start up the sweeping staircase. Everything is utterly charming — the kind and helpful host, Francesco; the interior decor; and the two beautiful resident felines. The terraces are awesome, two with views of the ancient temples in the distance. Our room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was a lovely, full spread including fresh fruit, croissants, breads, pastries, cheeses, ham, and juices. Francesco provided excellent driving directions and wonderful recommendations for restaurants and a nearby beach. Would happily return!

We think that 8h30 to open breakfast is too late. Maybe 7h30 could suit better.

I highly recommend staying at the Terrazze Di Montelusa. What a gem! The host Frank was very gracious and told us all about his family home that has become the B&B. The view overlooks the Valley of the Temples... what a view!

A wonderful place to stay in Agrigento. Nicely positioned near the Duomo and Santa Maria dei Greci. The place is immaculate with extra care in the details. Beautiful terraces! Francesco was exceptionally helpful. He has a special fascinating collection too.

This is an outstanding place to stay in Agrigento’s old town, 10 mins walk from the duomo and around the corner from Via Aetna, where all the restaurants are located. It is called a B and B but is much, much more. It consists of a large townhouse dating to 1820 with numerous terraces that look over the Valley of the Temples and beyond to the sea. The house has been in the host’s family and run as a hotel for generations and is filled with artefacts, paintings, vintage photographs and works of art. Marble floors and elegant furnishings feature in all the rooms. The host, Francesco, is absolutely delightful and incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Agrigento and much more. He was always helpful and on hand to offer recommendations and advice. Nothing was too much trouble. He also had a huge sense of fun and if guests are fortunate they may hear him playing Chopin waltzes on his grand piano. Breakfasts were a delight - Sicilian pastries, cheeses, hams, fresh fruit, yogurts and more, all enjoyed on the top terrace. It really was one of the best stays we have experienced and is incredibly good value. We would love to return. Thank you Francesco!

I should practice deviant behavior, giving all zeros, so this treasure does not become overrun. I stayed here a decade ago, and it was so memorable, I booked it immediately when I knew I’d be in Agrigento. Francesco is elegant, kind, a great host, and it’s obvious he loves his city as well as hosting his B&B guests. Everything—EVERYTHING—is top-notch. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. We almost had to, but that’s a funny story for another venue.

Very comfortable, gracious rooms. Terrific host, Francesco, so helpful, friendly. The home has been in his family for 200 years. He has renovated perfectly, keeping the ambiance of a classic Italian villa with all the modern conveniences that make it comfortable. Lovely terraces to enjoy your own aperitif or get a take away from the restaurant next door. It’s a short walk to the Main Street of restaurants and shops.

Very comfortable property. Our friends had a large room and we had a small apartment w a small kitchenette/fridge/cook-top. Francesco, the host and owner is welcoming, knowledgable and helpful w suggestions for seeing local sites, parking, restaurants, etc.

The best place in Agrigento

Wonderful stay at this elegant and homey B and B. Our host Francesco was extremely welcoming and shared the history of the building and of his family who have been the owners for several generations. The views from the terrace are the best in town and stretch down to the sea. A 7 minute drive to the valley of the temples. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time, supported by a great host! Thank you so much! We enjoyed the good breakfast and suggestions for places to visit and restaurants for dinner. The room was well equipped, wonderful furniture and nice decoration. The terrace has a great view, a nice place for breakfast and spending some time. Located in the middle of the very nice old part of town, it’s not easy to come to the B & B by car, but parking in a public parking is no problem.

The property was decorated with amazing art and antiques. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was fantastic-close to restaurants, grocery, shops and buildings of historical interest. Francesco was delightfully funny, warm and very helpful. Loved it!

We stayed in the suite. The private terrace was amazing and the views of the city, temples and sea were outstanding. The room itself was well appointed. It is well worth the extra 10 EUR. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast with variety and high quality items as we relaxed on the terrace. Our host was very helpful with planning our time in Agrigento and sharing the story of his family and this historic property. This B&B is a real gem!

Really nice B&B in the heart of the historic center of Agrigento. Very helpful and engaging host. Delicious breakfast. Charming B&B. Walk to all sites and restaurants in the historic center. Short drive to the Valley of the Temples. Walk about 5 minutes to parking garage. Two very friendly cats on premises. Need to walk up two flights of stairs, but all of Agrigento city center requires walking up and down hills or stairs.

A B&B as it has to be. Splendid place. Super host.

Francesco and his facility were just awesome. We loved Agrigento and Francesco and his facility were the major reason. His hospitality and recommendations were spot on. The breakfasts and sitting where we overlooked the entire area were an awesome way to start the day. To top all, my husbands Fitbit fell off and Francesco quickly called us after we left. Plus, he mailed to our next stop so we could have before returning to the US. We fully recommend staying in this place. (Our GPS easily navigated us to his place. Suggest you use, too!).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Terrazze di Montelusa. The B&B is decorated with many lovely paintings as well as photos of family members that accent the history of the B&B, and the old part of Agrigento. Terrazze di Montelusa is perched high up on the hill overlooking the Valley of the Temples and the sea. We had breakfast on the beautiful terrace which provides a panoramic view. We highly recommend Terrazze di Montelusa and would certainly stay here again.

We've had a wonderfull stay in your beautiful Little Hotel. Whenever we will come back to Agrigento, we want to stay with you.

Francesco is super nice and welcoming. The place is ideally situated right next to Via Atenea where all the restaurants are. Finally the views from the terraces, and in particular the breakfast from the terrace are just to die for.

This place is the best. A little difficult for an American driver to follow the directions to get there, and parking isn't convenient though.

Had an amazing two night stay with Francesco. He really is the perfect host. Makes you feel really welcome, is very knowledgeable and gave us some great tips about how to organise our time so we saw everything. The B&B itself is stunning, beautifully decorated and has everything you need. We stayed in the Junior Suite (301). If you can get this room it's the one to get! You get access to 3 terraces. 2 only accessible to this room after breakfast time. From the main terrace you get amazing views of Agrigento and can see the temples. Couldn't recommend the place enough.

10/10 - B&B Terrazza di Montelusa is a charming, elegant, beautifully restored and beautifully furnished B&B in the heart of historical old town Agrigento. Francesco is a delightful host, staying here is like being welcomed into a beautiful family home. Our room was huge, comfy, bright & light, sparkling clean, lovely big bathroom, large fluffy white towels. Breakfast was a treat fresh fruit (ripe to eat now) freshly cooked omelette, delicious pastries, cheese, prosciutto etc coffee, tea, juice the breakfast room is so pretty, we enjoyed eating on the terrace with sweeping views to the sea and 'Valley of the Temples'. Just magic. Francesco is full of wonderful helpful information, good restaurant recommendations. One night here was not long enough. Thank you Francesco for making our stay in Agrigento special.

What an outstanding place and an outstanding host. Located in a great area in the old city portion of Agrigento, this is a gem. The rooftop space is gorgeous and a perfect spot for breakfast and for watching the sunset. The host is outstanding, and remarkably kind and knowledgable. His recommendations were tremendous (check out the marina he suggests!) and we loved staying here. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Francesca is a generous, thoughtful and charming host. We were shown local points of interest on a map, provided with the family history of this historic hotel, introduced to the cats & assisted with car parking. Room spaces were generous and we felt welcome to use other areas, such as the roof top terraces, whenever we wished. The breakfasts were delightful, offering variety with seasonal fruits perfectly selected. Our best experience at an air B&B ever was here. Hard to find but we’ll worth the effort. Stairs with heavy luggage may be too hard for some to manage.

Host was very helpful with sightseeing suggestions and places to roam and eat. Ask your host to play his piano if time allows. Beautiful spectacular views from roof terraces.

This an exceptional B&B with a friendly caring owner proud of his family heritage and beautifully furnished place. Three rooftop terraces with amazing views. Excellent breakfast Room 301 is the best. Book it if available. Very good local Ristorante downstairs. Valley of the Temples is a must and so is this B&B.

We love this property. It’s a big walk up some stairs but once you get it there is very worth it. The proprietor was very very helpful. The view of the Valley of the temples in the city below is beautiful.

Absolutely delightful pensione run by Francesco, who speaks perfect English and tries very hard to make everyone's stay a pleasure. We had a suite with a private terrace and from the roof-top terrace you can watch the sunset to the west or see the temples of Akragas to the south-east. Not cheap for a 'bed-and-breakfast but good value for a boutique hotel to which it bears a good deal of resemblance. My only gripe - why do we have to call these places bed and breakfasts now? I liked the Italian pensione..

It is a wonderful place to stay with a great horizon view on rooftop. It is small and elegant, classic and peasful.

This B&B was our most favourite in all of sicily during our recent stay. Francesco was a brilliant host who couldn't do enough for us, he made us feel extremely welcome.

The host was very polite and friendly. He gave us useful information for our stay and answered every question. We had an excellent breakfast on one his roof terrasses. The view of the terrasses is overwhelming. We would everytime recommend this B&B.

This B&B is in a fabulous location and has a wonderful host, Francesco who has lots on information on Agrigento, The Temples, the history of the area and he will even play the piano for you which was wonderful. The B&B is in the heart of Agrigento minutes from the bars and restaurants and a short walk to the Cathedral (all up hill!) but the best bit is the views from the terrace that overlooks the valley of the temples, and the location where you have you breakfast. It was truly stunning.

Exceptionnel. Nous avons adoré. A commencé par l accueil de Francisco, nous avons fait le tour de l appartement avec conseils, explications, orientation, histoire. Un appartement hors norme, magnifique avec plusieurs terrasses aux vues superbes. Equipement magnifique, tableaux, piano, objets historiques donnant une ambiance tres localisée. Chambre très confortable et silencieuse Le summum, le petit déjeuner en terrasse vue magnifique, un service au top:) et un contenu délicieux fait maison. JE RECOMMANDE et je garde de mon road trip de la Sicile, un souvenir exceptionnel, cette étape. Un grand merci Francisco et encore Bravo.

Nous avons passé un moment exceptionnel dans le Bed and Breakfast tenu de main de maitre par Francesco. Dépaysement total dans ce lieu hors du commun où se mélange culture et bien être. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Si vous aimez l'art et l'histoire, c'est l'endroit où loger. Le lieu a une âme et est décoré superbes œuvres d'arts qui nous ont ravis les yeux et l'esprit. Les chambres sont ravissantes et nous retournerions à Agrigento uniquement pour loger dans une chambre différente et profiter de sa décoration. La vue des terrasses sur la cité, la vallée des temples et la mer est superbe! Le petit déjeuner est copieux, fait maison et délicieux. Plus que tout, notre hôte (polyglotte, italien, français, anglais et allemand) nous réserve un accueil charmant, franc et chaleureux, passionné et très érudit sur l'histoire des lieux, de la ville et de la Sicile. Une adresse bien au dessus du lot pour nous. Frédéric et Nadine.

C'était parfait, le meilleur B&B que nous ayons jamais eu, bravo à Francesco, l'hôte charmant, cultivé et efficace qui a fait de ce lieu un séjour extrêmement agréable.

Ce B&B situé dans une ancienne demeure familiale est un petit bijou plein de charme et d'histoire. Francesco, son propriétaire, est chaleureux et disponible et vous conseillera en bonnes adresses (restaurants, visites, excursions). La chambre au calme est confortable, spacieuse et décorée avec goût et dispose d'une climatisation efficace. Le petit-déjeuner proposé est varié et copieux: viennoiseries, jus de fruits, yahourts, confitures, miels, fruits frais, fromage, etc. Et aux beaux jours on profite des belles terrasses fleuries du B&B avec vues sur la vieille ville, la Vallée des Temples et la mer. Une adresse que l'on recommande sans hésiter: -).

Francesco, le propriétaire du lieu nous a mis de suite à l'aise, et nous a chaleureusement accueilli, par un verre de jus de fruits et en nous présentant longuement sa propriété, et l'histoire de sa maison. Il nous a donné des conseils de visite. Nous avons séjourné dans la suite dite "Junior", immense et chaleureuse. Nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse et de sa vue magnifique, lieu où nous prenions le petit-déjeuner. Très bon breakfast, avec des produits typiques italiens, et aussi des croissants (nous sommes français tout de même ! ). Je recommande vivement, de part la situation de ce B&B, pour l'accueil du propriétaire, et la propriété elle-même. Merci Francisco ! Vous êtes quelqu'un de formidable.

Francesco est une personne passionnante qui parle un très bon français. Tous les conseils et explications données sont de grande qualité. Quant au confort, nous sommes proche d’un hôtel de grand standing. Tapis, tableaux et œuvres d’art font partie du décor. En conclusion une adresse excellente à ne pas manquer si vous êtes à Agrigente.

Francesco est vraiment adorable et se met en quatre pour renseigner ses clients. Il a même téléphoné pour nous réserver une croisière sur un voilier. Les chambres sont spacieuses et décorées avec goût. La seule chose que nous pourrions regretter est l'horaire du petit déjeuner 8h30 c'est un peu tard pour nous. Mais nous devons être des cas à part.

Un petit paradis terreste, à peine parti vous voudrez déjà y retourner tant tout y est parfait. "Calme, luxe et volupté "dirait Voltaire, j'ajouterais la gentillesse et bienveillance d'un hôte extraordinaire.

Merci de tout coeur à notre hôte Francesco dont la qualité du français n'a d'égale que celle de ses conseils empreints d'affection pour sa ville et son histoire. Nous nous sentions "à la maison" dans ce palais superbement rénové dans un goût très sûr, avec une décoration à la fois surannée et contemporaine. Séjour magique.

Des terrasses superbes, un accueil chaleureux, courtois, de bon conseil et un endroit à la décoration très authentique de la famille du propriétaire (ouf on sort du mobilier IKEA) Un havre de paix avec vue panoramique sur la ville et la vallée des temples. chambre spacieuse et bien équipée. Francesco est un host des plus agréables, à la fois discret et disponible. Son B&B est raffiné, et semble appartenir à une époque révolue de politesse, distinction et bon gout. Le seul reproche qùon puisse faire est l'utilisation de verres en plastique pour le jus de fruit. Cela ne va pas avec tout le reste et n'est pas écologique. Sinon, c'est parfait.

Accueil des plus chaleureux par le propriétaire et ses 2 chats, dans une demeure de rêve avec une vue sublime sur la mer et la Vallée des temples. Un seul regret: de n'y être resté qu'une seule nuit. A recommander absolument.

Belles chambres spacieuses dans une maison de famille de caractère, très bien restaurée. Accueil chaleureux par le propriétaire qui nous a conseillé les principales églises à visiter à Agrigente et nous a donné des astuces utiles pour visiter au mieux la vallée des temples. Petit déjeuner très agréable en terrasse avec une belle vue. Excellent rapport qualité/prix.

Un hotel de charme, discret cultivé qui vous accueille comme un invité, vous fait les honneurs de sa belle maison, on ne peut plus au centre de l'Agrigente historique, les chambres et le bureau au 2ème étage, avec 1 salon commun, la partie breakfast au 3ème avec salle à manger et 2 belles terrasses fleuries, une attention toute particulière du maitre de maison, déchargé du service par 2 employées et cerise sur le gateau parfaitement francophone, vous déjeunez en vue du temple de la concorde le reve. Francesco, le propriétaire des lieux est un hôte très chaleureux et intarissable sur l'histoire d'Agrigente. Il nous accueille avec beaucoup d'amabilité et nous accompagne pour découvrir sa belle maison familiale. Objets d'art, tableaux, piano, bibliothèque, tout est présenté avec le plus grand raffinement. Vue sublime des terrasses. Petit déjeuner gourmand et copieux. Un bonheur quoi !

Francesco est très accueillant et nous a donné de précieux conseils pour visiter Agrigento. Son B&B est charmant, on sent qùil a restauré avec amour cette maison héritée de sa famille. Les chambres sont agréables et le B&B est idéalement placé.

Très bon séjour dans ce Bed and Breakfast. Francesco, qui parle tès bien le français, nous a réservé un très bon accueil. La chambre était très spacieuse (suite), la literie de bonne qualité. Francesco, le propriétaire, accueille chaleureusement et consacre beaucoup de temps à ses hôtes. Il prodigue d'excellents conseils de visite et possède un connaissance littéraire et historique remarquable. Le B&B est situé au coeur de la vielle ville d'Agrigento, ce qui permet de s'imprégner au mieux de l'esprit de l'endroit. Une très bonne adresse à Agrigente. Francesco consacre du temps à ses hôtes pour jouer du piano à quatre mains, raconter l'histoire de sa famille ou parler d'Agrigente. Des terrasses magnifiques où il fait bon prendre un excellent petit déjeuner (le meilleur de notre séjour). On se sent bien dans cette maison décorée avec goût. A ne pas rater.

Terrazze di Montelusa ist eine besonders ansprechende Unterkunft in Agrigent. Die Zimmer sind liebe- und geschmackvoll gestaltet. Frühstück wird frisch zusammengestellt. Die Leitung kümmert sich freundlich und umsichtig. Die Lage ist im Zentrum ausgezeichnet. Die Hauptstraße ist gleich um die Ecke, ein italienisches Lebensmittelgeschäft mit reichlich frischen Früchten praktisch im Haus und einige Restaurants fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Mit einem Navi kommt man gut bis vor die Tür. Der Hit sind die Terrassen mit fantastischem Ausblick auf das Tal der Tempel und das Meer.

Verimieter ist Liebenswürdigkeit in Person und ausserordentlich hilfsbereit. Traumhafter Blick von der Dachterrasse, u. a. beim Frühstück. Liebevoll eingerichtete Räume in sehr scönem alten Bürg erhaus.

Francesko gibt eine tolle Einführung zu den Zielen seiner Stadt - sehr nützlich. Die Zimmer samt Wohnung sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Clou sind die Dachterrassen mit herrlichem Ausblick und vielen Pflanzen.

Eine super Unterkunft - wunderschöne Terrassen mit Blick auf das Tal der Tempel - einem überaus hilfsbereiten gleichwohl zurückhaltenden Gastherrn, der hervorragend Englisch spricht. Wir haben uns als älteres Ehepaar sehr, sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral, wobei Francesco sich sehr viel Mühe machte, für uns einen Parkplatz zu ergattern.

Super recomendable. Este B&B está situado en el centro histórico de Agrigento, junto a los lugares de visita turistica. Francesco es encantador, símpatico y educado. Camere pulite e molto ben arredate, colazione sulla terrazza con vista su Valle dei Templi, gestore gentilissimo e ottimo oratore e conoscitore della storia del suo paese, esperienza fantastica, molto consigliato per soggiornare ad Agrigento

Il B&B Terrazze di Montelusa è un sogno, la Junior Suite di più. Questo B&B è gestito dal signor Francesco, una persona molto preparata, simpatica, cordiale e disponibile. Il B&B si trova al 2° e 3° piano di una struttura antica nel centro storico di Agrigento. Al nostro arrivo ci ha accolti il signor Francesco, insieme ai suoi tenerissimi gattini, e ci ha raccontato la storia della sua famiglia, mostrandoci le tantissime foto d’epoca che popolano il B&B, con i suoi racconti si vive un’atmosfera di ricordi meravigliosi. Ci ha anche consigliato vari locali in cui mangiare e il giro da fare in città per visitare i luoghi più importanti, tra cui la meravigliosa Valle dei Templi che dista solo 7 minuti con la macchina. In attesa che si liberasse la nostra camera, il signor Francesco, ci ha anche deliziati suonando il pianoforte che si trova all’ingresso del B&B. Poi, il simpatico Francesco, ci ha portati alla nostra camera, la Junior Suite (l’unica al 3° piano), una camera molto ampia, spaziosa e ben arredata, con due balconcini che si affacciano su Piazza Lena, un angolo salottino molto grazioso e un bagno ampio dotato di tutti i comfort. Infine ci ha portati nelle terrazze, la parte più suggestiva del B&B, in cui si svolge la colazione. Per chi alloggia nella Junior Suite, la ciliegina sulla torta è che potrà usufruire delle terrazze anche al di fuori dell’orario della colazione e vi posso assicurare che la visuale di tutta Agrigento e dei Templi è un’emozione difficile da dimenticare, in particolar modo la sera. Se volete visitare Agrigento, il B&B Terrazze di Montelusa è la scelta migliore che si possa fare. Il mio consiglio è quello di prenotare la Junior Suite, è meravigliosa!

Posizione centrale. Struttura curata con i suoi terrazzini che offrono una vista aperta sul mare, la valle dei templi ed i tetti della città. Il gestore vi accoglie calorosamente, vi ospita ed accompagna nella sua casa curata in ogni dettaglio così come le indicazioni che ha l'accortezza di inviare prima dell'arrivo. I came to Agrigento for just one night to see the Valley of the Temples, and was lucky enough to stay in this charming B&B. Visiting with Francesco over tea or breakfast was a window into generations of Southern Sicily family life. The rooms and full apartments vary greatly in size and decor from historic eras. And the views from the rooftop terraces above the valley are world class. An easy walk from the train station or the bus. I hope I'll have an excuse to return.

Abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte in questo B&B, ma è stata un’esperienza veramente affascinante. Ci ha ricevuto il proprietario, il Signor Francesco Foti, che è il raffinato regista di quello che non è un semplice soggiorno per turisti di passaggio ma che, grazie al suo stile, si trasforma in poco tempo in un’esperienza. Le camere del B&B sono all’interno di un antico e grande appartamento nel centro storico di Agrigento, in particolare, nel soggiorno, arredato con mobili antichi, fa bella mostra di sé un pianoforte a coda, con tanti spartiti appoggiati sopra, in un artistico disordine, tanti dipinti alle pareti: classici ed anche molte foto di famiglia antiche. Mentre Il Signor Francesco preparava le pratiche e documenti per il nostro soggiorno, ci ha raccontato la storia della sua antica famiglia, che ha origini siciliane e francesi, la storia della nonna, che compare in diverse foto d’epoca e così ci si è calati in un’atmosfera di ricordi, di vicende che divengono il filo rosso di una storia del palazzo, della famiglia, ai ricordi, all’amore per i suoi due gatti che convivono felicemente con i fortunati ospiti del B&B, e, infine la sua passione per la musica. Mentre ci intratteneva sono rientrati due ospiti inglesi, che erano in partenza, e subito, colto da improvviso entusiasmo, ha detto alla signora che aveva trovato i due spartiti (Brahms e Schubert mi pare) che stava cercando, al tempo stesso ci informava che lei era una pianista. Si sono messi al piano ed hanno suonato i due pezzi a quattro mani, che si è concluso tra i nostri applausi. E’ stato veramente suggestivo, sembrava di essere parte di una sceneggiatura di un film. Per qualche associazione di idee mi ha ricordato il film di James Ivory “Camera con vista” ed in quei momenti ci ha fatto sentire più viaggiatori che turisti. Poi, entrati in camera abbiamo ritrovato lo stesso stile gli arredi antichi, il suo tentativo, di costante ricerca di ridare alla casa il fascino del passato. Tanta cura nei dettagli, la passione per l’arredamento e per la storia della famiglia. Poi, bisogna ricordare le terrazze che circondano l’ultimo piano, dove si fa colazione, e che danno il nome al B&B. Praticamente un attico con arredi antichi, quadri e foto di famiglia in quantità circondato da ampi terrazzi con piante, sedie e tavolini e, soprattutto, con una vista sterminata su Agrigento, dalla valle dei Templi al mare, ai quartieri più antichi. Al mattino, il giorno della nostra partenza, mentre le due cameriere servivano i clienti, dava suggerimenti, e si preoccupava che si assaggiassero tutte le specialità siciliane che aveva espressamente portato: più un padrone di casa che ha ospiti di riguardo che non un proprietario di B&B. Infine, è stato veramente gentile a darci tutte le informazioni sul percorso archeologico, utilissime e che ci hanno fatto risparmiare fatica, non ultimo ci ha prenotato la cena, direttamente con la proprietaria in un fantastico ristorante il “Sal8” dove oltre ad aver mangiato benissimo abbiamo avuto un trattamento a dir poco attento e signorile. Unico rimpianto? Ci siamo stati troppo poco!

Con mio marito abbiamo soggiornato 2 notti presso il B&B "Terrazze di Montelusa" i primi giorni di agosto e siamo felicissimi di aver scelto questa struttura. Francesco, il proprietario, ci ha accolto subito con grande calore ed entusiasmo, Francesco è un "vulcano di idee e di energia", ci ha fatto sentire a casa, ci ha dato ottimi suggerimenti sia per quanto riguarda i ristoranti che sulle attività da fare in zona. La struttura si trova al 2° e 3° piano di una dimora storica del 1800, ristrutturata con grande cura da parte di Francesco, mantenendo lo stile della dimora storica negli arredi, con moltissimi quadri e stampe, un pianoforte a coda, tutti segni della passione di Francesco per la storia, l'arte e la musica. Abbiamo scelto la suite al 3° piano, spaziosissima, molto raffinata e romantica negli arredi, con un letto molto grande e un bagno molto confortevole. Per chi sceglie la suite (dai prezzi assolutamente modici e onesti) c'è il privilegio di poter utilizzare le 2 terrazze lato est anche al di fuori dell'orario delle colazione, e vi assicuro che la vista su tutta Agrigento e la valle dei templi è spettacolare, in particolare al tramonto e in orario serale con i templi illuminati. Molto curata e ricca di scelta la colazione, non manca proprio nulla, gustata poi in terrazza diventa il momento più piacevole e rilassante della giornata. Grazie ancora a Francesco per l'eccezionale ospitalità e complimenti per la perfetta gestione del suo B&B.

Francesco è stato l'ospite più affascinante, elegante, colto e incredibilmente amichevole di tutto il nostro soggiorno in Sicilia. La sua gentilezza è sorprendente: ci racconta la storia della sua famiglia come se fossimo i suoi primi "ospiti" e ognuna delle nostre innumerevoli domande gli abbiamo posto domande sulla sua casa o su Agrigento e sulla storia della Sicilia ci ha risposto con chiarezza, finezza, grande cultura e intelligenza. La sua magnifica casa, in posizione perfetta per visitare il centro storico a piedi, è un'oasi di calma, fascino, bellezza e belle decorazioni. Francesco è un uomo caldo e attento del mondo, che si è preso cura di tradurre nel suo perfetto francese le conversazioni che ha avuto con i connazionali siciliani e viceversa che ti hanno fatto sentire come se fossi in vacanza con gli amici. La colazione era un piacere puro sia visivamente che con gusto e prima della nostra partenza ci ha regalato un piccolo recital di pianoforte. Questo soggiorno è stato un momento incantato altamente raccomandato a tutti coloro che sono sensibili alla raffinatezza e al fascino di una casa di famiglia. È raro incontrare così tante qualità e moralità artistiche e intellettuali, tanta eleganza di cuore e mente in una sola persona. Siamo stati più che sedotti! É un luogo stupendo, abbiamo ricevuto un'ottima accoglienza. Da consigliare assolutamente Alain et Catherine Assouad.

Notre séjour au B&B Terrazze di Montelusa a été le plus agréable de notre voyage en Sicile (et pourtant, les autres hôtels et B&B étaient très bien aussi!). Chambres somptueuses, terrasses communes avec une vue incroyable, petit déjeuner excellent, je ne peux que recommander chaudement cet établissement ! Et tout particulièrement notre hôte, Francesco Foti, qui nous a accueilli dans sa magnifique demeure avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de précieux conseils. De plus, il parle très bien français. Splendido angolo di Agrigento. Ottima l'accoglienza e la disponibilità del gestore, Francesco, che ci ha fatto sentire come a casa e ci ha dispensato utilissimi consigli per la nostra visita. Casa d'altri tempi, ristrutturata in modo elegante e con ottimo gusto. Luogo rilassante ed accogliente. Colazione ricca di prodotti locali freschi. Vorrei ritornarci. Consigliatissimo!

Abbiamo pernottato nella struttura per due giorni. L'accoglienza da parte del gestore è stata fantastica come la nostra stanza e la colazione. Il gestore è stato di una disponibilità unica. La struttura è stupenda, la colazione poi, è stata fantastica. Ringraziamo di nuovo il gestore Francesco che al mattino ci ha rallegrato suonando il Piano, sulla splendida vista della Valle dei Templi, così da renderci le giornate ancora più belle.
