Welcome to Tambasìa
Tambasìa is a gentle imperative, a direct invitation in the second person, telling you to “slow down, enjoy the moment, switch off. ” The name is inspired by the Sicilian verb “tambasiàre, ” used by the master Andrea Camilleri in his literary masterpieces to evoke the art of wandering aimlessly, relaxing, and pleasantly lazing about.
Location and places of interest
The Tambasìa guesthouse is located in the heart of the historic city center: Via Etnea, the shopping and walking street, animated by cafes, Baroque palaces, and views of Mount Etna. Via Etnea is one of the main arteries for the celebrations in honor of Saint Agatha, the patron saint of the city.

The building that houses Tambasia is historic, and we have respected its soul, as you will notice when you enter the rooms with their large windows and imposing ceilings. At the same time, we wanted to give it a contemporary feel, for those who cannot do without a comfortable experience in keeping with the present. At Tambasìa, what matters is your experience of relaxation!
Our rooms
All our rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi, smart TV, air conditioning, private bathroom with complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, mini-fridge, and coffee machine. The bed linen and towels meet high quality standards.
Breakfast
Tambasìa does not offer breakfast service. However, the property is located a few minutes' walk from several bars offering a wide variety of sweet and savoury delicacies typical of Sicilian cuisine. For a typical Sicilian breakfast, we suggest a nice espresso accompanied by the indispensable iris or a cannolo in winter, and the classic granita with brioche in summer.
