Description

"Quattro Canti di città" (or Ottangolo, or also Teatro del Sole) is the name given to the open space - Piazza Vigliena - formed by the intersection of Corso Vittorio Emanuele with Via Maqueda. In this place, where the four seventeenth-century quarters of the city meet, where the sun dances from sunrise to sunset, Palermo had its own gravity center. Here there was the fulcrum of city life, a place for walking and hanging around; here they information about shows, events and happenings conveyed and spread; here workers and servants gathered in search of work and masters to serve.

A constant coming and going, from all sides and in all directions has always characterized the square. Yesterday and today. The nerve center of the historic center of Palermo, an indispensable destination for tourists and visitors, "Piazza dei Quattro Canti" represents the ideal starting point for any exploratory route in the city.

It is to this place Quattro Incanti reconnects; a base in the historic center, easily accessible, dedicated to those who choose Palermo for their trip in Sicily.

500 meters from Piazza Quattro Canti, right next to Real Teatro Santa Cecilia (the oldest in the city), Quattro Incanti is located in a early eightteenth-century building, which looks onto the elegant Via Roma, on one side, on the Piazza Teatro Santa Cecilia, on the other, with access from via Piccola del Teatro Santa Cecilia n ° 5.

The breakfast at Quattro Incanti is designed to offer a first taste of the culture and culinary quality "made in Sicily". It features a wide selection of flavors, a presentation rich in colors and shapes, and a careful selection based on the season of the year, local celebrations, and their culinary peculiarities.

Located on the second floor (which can be reached via a comfortable internal staircase), the living room and terrace are entirely independent of the sleeping area and provide the perfect setting for breakfast. Guests can enjoy a sweet Sicilian festival of flavors, scents, and colors, which includes a buffet of typical products, seasonal fruits and jams, yogurts and juices, pastries and croissants, biscuits and cakes, as well as the inevitable cappuccinos, latte macchiatos, and coffees, served directly at the tables.

The panoramic view from the terrace available to guests frames the nearby Real Teatro Santa Cecilia, Palazzo Valguarnera Ganci (a set for some scenes of the movie "Il Gattopardo"), the rooftops of the city center, and reaches Montepellegrino, "the most beautiful promontory in the world," the final resting place of Santa Rosalia, the patron saint of Palermo.

Italian breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00 every day. Any requests for specific products related to food intolerances, allergies or diets can be communicated at the time of booking.

Great little property, and the host Alessandro was fantastic. If you are staying longer than 3-4 days, breakfast becomes a bit stale, need some variety. Also, this location is NOT on the 2nd floor, it is actually on the 3rd floor, which makes for a lot of steps.

Great location. Alessandro is very hospitable, available, and generous with information about the city. Unfortunately, being very central, it is extremely noisy at night. The fact that we found earplugs on the nightstand actually surprised us upon arrival... but then we understood! Another downside not to be underestimated --> the stairs: it's better to have very light luggage otherwise it's difficult... there's no elevator. Overall, a positive review!

Beautiful and clean room. Clear instructions for check-in. Very convenient location near the central train station and sights in the historic district. Alessandro was incredibly nice and accommodating, and provided a wonderful breakfast on the terrace with a stunning view of Mt. Pellegrino. The cakes at breakfast were the best things we ate in Palermo. Thank you, Alessandro!

We very much liked our stay at Quattro Incanti. Our room was spacious and super clean, the location of Quattro Incanti makes it possible to explore the center of Palermo simply by walking, the breakfast offers a great variety of options, and above all Alessandro is a great host. He provided us with great recommendations on what to see and where to eat, always interested in how he could further help, always funny - and he makes the best Americano in all of Palermo.

We stayed for three nights in a wonderful room with a bathroom and balcony, well soundproofed. In the city center, there are excellent restaurants nearby. Alessandro, the manager, is friendly and available for any request (restaurants, visits, car rental). Super breakfast and the icing on the cake: free bitters to enjoy at any time on the beautiful terrace! A real treat! In one word: fantastic!

First impression with Palermo and I chose this accommodation for its central location. Certainly, in the evening (especially on Saturday), the streets below the accommodation were crowded with noise. But inside the room, it was not very loud, thanks to the triple windows and earplugs provided by the manager. Then there's nothing better than breakfast on the terrace! Magnificent view and great food! Impeccable cleanliness and lots of suggestions to visit Palermo at its best. I recommend this B&B to everyone.

Lovely bed and breakfast near the old town. Very clean, spacious, and comfortable. We had a lovely breakfast provided by the host who was very knowledgeable and helpful. He arranged our transfer back to the airport and arrived early to provide us with breakfast before our flight.

The highlight of the property is its manager Alessandro who provides very precise instructions for self check-in. The property is located in an old building on the second floor but inside the bed and breakfast is impeccable for comfort and cleanliness. The breakfast on the terrace is sublime, made with artisanal products and the jams are delicious. Moreover, if there is friendliness, courtesy and humor that accompany everything, it's all much better and here at Quattro Incanti, Alessandro ensures it!

Alessandro was very kind and caring. He provided us with a multitude of useful tips both before and during our stay. Everything is organized to perfection from booking, to welcoming, and throughout the stay. New, spacious and comfortable beds as well as the rest of the B&B (brand new bathrooms/top insulation/very spacious and bright room/breakfast terrace). Very central. We will gladly return.

Regarding breakfast, the rating is not 10 but at least 12! Already from the detailed instructions for fast check-in that you receive before arrival, you understand that you are dealing with a precise and competent person. The structure is clean, tidy, with a beautiful terrace available for guests. The rooms have excellent sound insulation, an air conditioner that, used in dehumidifier + silent mode, is not noticeable and not forceful with the cold (no risk of summer cold!). The location is perfect, close to all the main points of interest in Palermo. The host, Alessandro, you can see that he is passionate about his work! Friendly, reserved, and helpful, truly competent. A person with whom it is impossible not to have a pleasant conversation. Okay, there is the limit of the slightly annoying stairs, but the luggage is taken up only once and the effort is worth the stay!

Alessandro and his staff were the perfect hosts. His wife and mother-in-law made daily breakfast cakes in addition to homemade fruit jams and jellies, orange, lemon, fig and strawberry. The rooftop seating area was spacious with a fabulous view of the surrounding city. The beds/mattresses in the rooms were so comfortable. Air conditioning was also great. Rooms spacious. We took the advice to take the local bus from the airport to the central station for 6 euros pp, then a 15-minute walk to the property. A great savings compared to $40 euros for a taxi. You do have to walk your luggage up to the 5th floor but it was well worth it. If we get back to Sicily we will definitely stay with Alessandro again.

I randomly chose this accommodation and I was satisfied. The environment is very familiar, it is an apartment with 4 rooms, extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable. The manager has always been kind, friendly, and helpful. The location is strategic, we reached all the places of interest on foot, and the area itself is enriched with numerous venues and a lively atmosphere. The breakfast time is very convivial, to be enjoyed inside or on the lovely terrace with excellent homemade cakes and other local products. I recommend it!

The location is excellent, just a stone's throw from Palermo station and the center, you can walk everywhere without needing a car or public transport. Our room was spacious and well organized, equipped with all the comforts, cleaning is done every day. Excellent breakfast, both sweet and savory (homemade cakes were much appreciated), served on a very charming terrace on beautiful days. Finally, the welcome from the owner Alessandro made us feel at home! Our stay was truly pleasant. Highly recommended!

Let's start with the owner, who was infinitely kind, supporting us in every request with extreme courtesy and promptness. The bed and breakfast is a real gem. It is located in a somewhat run-down building that could be discouraging at first, but as soon as you open the door on the second floor, you enter an apartment divided into rooms that welcomes you with its light colors and well-kept details, immediately putting you at ease. The room is just as well-kept, spacious, welcoming, new, and equipped with every comfort. An additional value is the terrace that can be reached by an internal staircase and allows you to have breakfast outdoors. We also really liked the location, a stone's throw from Quattro Canti and other places of interest, lively even in the evening if you don't want to go far in search of a restaurant. We found parking near the property without difficulty. Therefore, recommended from all points of view.

The structure is located in a great position, just a few hundred meters from the train station and in the Kalsa district, a dynamic neighborhood full of great restaurants and bars. Structure in the center of Palermo that I recommend. The B&B is in an ancient building on the second floor. Simple but very clean structure. Alessandro, the owner, is very kind and full of attention towards the customer. He is precise and meticulous. All the anti-COVID regulations are perfectly followed, from the sanitization of the structure to breakfast and the use of masks. Perfect location to reach on foot, within a few minutes, any tourist attraction in the center of Palermo. Excellent value for money.

Excellent location, very clean facility (the room is cleaned every day) and Alessandro is a truly friendly person and gives great advice. He is also very attentive to complying with the covid rules. Well-positioned structure within the historic city center! A few minutes from the cathedral, Piazza Quattro Canti, and the two historic markets of Palermo, Ballarò and Vucciria, and many other tourist sites. Structure in an old nineteenth-century building, the only flaw... climbing fairly high steps! But otherwise everything is magnificent! Lots of professionalism and courtesy from Mr. Alessandro. Rooms very clean, air conditioners working well, given the intense heat of the city, very satisfying breakfast to be enjoyed in a small room upstairs, where you can also find a small terrace to take some relaxation time. And to finish... I was granted the possibility to leave my luggage on site until late afternoon. Certainly on my next visit to Palermo, I will return to this B&B.

The B&B is located in the historic center, you can easily walk to reach the monuments and cultural areas of interest in the city. Ideal for those who love the nightlife. The manager took care of finding me a garage for the motorcycle just a few steps from the property. Daily room cleaning. Highly recommended.
