Description

In the immediate vicinity of the station is a 3 star B&B well connected to the port and airport. Given the position of the B&B you certainly do not need a car to reach the main monuments of the city (10 minutes for the Cathedral, 5 minutes from the Quattro Canti, Piazza Pretoria) and the most important historical markets as Ballarò (2 minutes away) and Vucciria (5 minutes).

We are in Via Roma, in the commercial area on the top floor (with elevator) of a building freedmen of the century, in a room carefully restored and features ornate ceilings and furniture from another era, style and perfectly restored.

Always update our guests on what is beautiful to visit in town, exhibitions, events, concerts and tourist routes and alternative classics. The price included an excellent Italian breakfast in which, among other things, offer organic milk and desserts made with eggs and organic butter. It 'also provided a menu for vegans.

We have agreements with secure parking and protected, as well as with companies to rent bicycles, motorbikes, cars. We can also arrange boat trips.

Given the position of the B&B you certainly do not need a car to reach the main monuments of the city (10 min. for the Cathedral, 5 minutes from the Quattro Canti, Piazza Pretoria) and the most important historical markets as Ballarò (2 min away) and Vucciria (5 min). We are in Via Roma, in the commercial area.

From here it is easy to organize excursions outside the city, 200 meters is the bus station, allowing them to easily reach the Duomo di Monreale (runs every 30 min), Cefalu, Bagheria, Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, Syracuse and places most beautiful in Sicily.

We spent a very pleasant week at B&B Novecento. The owner, Dario, and his staff members Giusy and Marzia helped us organize our holiday in the best way with valuable advice. We had requested a vegan breakfast option and vegan croissants, plant-based drinks, fruit, focaccia, and a spectacular brownie made with vegan Nutella were always available. If you go to Palermo, B&B Novecento is a guarantee!

Novecento is a true Palermo experience. The property is the fifth floor of an apartment building on Via Roma, a short walk from both the railway and bus stations. The unassuming entrance and quirky lift lead you to a charming bed and breakfast well above the bustle of the city street. (Most rooms are on a side road). The room was large with a floor to ceiling window, shutters and blinds and air conditioning. Dario is a friendly and helpful host willing to pass on his local knowledge. The breakfast is a truly Sicilian affair of fruit, cheese, jams, cakes, yogurt and granita. Do not expect bacon and eggs here.

Simple accommodation, yet everything you need is provided: shower and hair cleaning products, hairdryer, facial cleansing utensils, 3 towels, complimentary water and small snacks in the hallway, small fridge in the room. Very nice and attentive operators, trying to fulfill all wishes and providing a lot of tips on what to do in Palermo. Rich breakfast with many small typical Sicilian sweet delicacies, fruit, nuts, pistachios, muesli, tea, various coffee specialties. Food intolerances are taken into account. Close to the Central Station and the bus station. Room 1 facing Via Roma has insulated windows, the other rooms facing the side street have single-glazed windows, so it's better to have earplugs with you. You are right in the center and on weekends the Kalsa district is THE party mile for young people.

B&B in a run-down building, old and uninviting elevator, unfortunately being on the fifth floor made its use inevitable. Old and discolored internal doors, not at all sound-absorbing, so a noisy environment every time a guest returned during the night or laughed at breakfast, which woke me up over and over again after a day that started at 4 in the morning the day before. Good breakfast on the first day, on the second day there was no one there so I made myself a coffee and left hungry, but before leaving, after waiting 15 minutes for breakfast and going back and forth from the bathroom, external to the room (my mistake for booking it) to make myself heard, the owner came out just to get paid as I was leaving in a hurry to go to the airport (of course I had left the credit card at the time of booking). Finally, the receipt was a photo sent via WhatsApp of a handwritten receipt (I hope to be reimbursed by the company that will not benefit from it fiscally). To be avoided like the plague, the owner seems kind, but the shortcomings are too many.

B&B 5 minutes from Palermo's central station, basically you're already in the city's historic center. The only drawback is that you don't have a bathroom in the room but in the corridor, however, the bathroom is exclusively reserved for your room.

The Bed & Breakfast is very close to the station and also convenient for visiting Palermo, but at the same time secluded from overly confusing areas. The structure is welcoming and comfortable, the room is spacious and the bed very comfortable. We stayed in the room with the private bathroom and the only small downside is the shower: a bit small. Breakfast in the common room is definitely pleasant and abundant (hot / cold drinks, sweets, fruit, savory, etc.), a convivial environment to take advantage of the valuable advice from Dario and Giusy and have a chat (if desired). We had a great time! Dario and Giusy truly offer added value to the typical stay by turning it into a comprehensive hospitality experience.

Our group of four stayed at Novecento twice, to either side of a trip into country Sicily. As we used only buses and trains, the location was excellent, only ten minutes walk from the Palermo transport hub. It transpired that our local planned activities of a guided walk and bike ride were also a 15-minute walk. Good eating precincts and a supermarket also nearby. The rooms were comfortable. Dario was a most attentive host, and ably assisted with inquiries and a couple of small requests.

The location of the property offers the advantage of walking to visit most of the city. For trips to Montella, the catacombs of the Capuchins, the Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia, there is a bus nearby, while for Monreale a bus near the station where the bus to the airport also stops. The manager is a lovely person endowed with friendliness and sympathy: ready for any need, provides clear suggestions for a good stay. Personally prepares a rich breakfast and, if you feel like chatting, is a good conversationalist. I will recommend the property to my friends.

Great address just a stone's throw from the station (where the airport bus arrives) in the center of Palermo where we could visit the city on foot. The building, the apartment, and the rooms are charming. The private bathrooms are in front of the rooms but it's really not a problem! The breakfast is fabulous (homemade yogurt and cakes, fresh fruits, dried fruits, fresh orange juice.. good organic and local products yum!)\nI highly recommend this very good address!

The B&B Novecento is practically the perfect place for a stay in Palermo. The structure is welcoming, clean, and very charming. My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights; clean, comfortable, with air conditioning, and an important and often overlooked note: very comfortable mattress! Author's breakfast, from Sicilian artisanal granita to freshly made home tart, everything or almost everything you would want to find when waking up in Palermo on vacation:) The location is very central on Via Roma and is excellent both for arriving by car and for reaching various points of the city on foot. Dario, the host, is helpful and kind, attentive to giving the right directions and information on "what and where", as well as interesting insights about his Palermo. I would say recommended:).

On arrival, you need to be careful because the sign is very small but the owner works only by reservation, which is not bad! We stayed in a comfortable triple room and I appreciated that the third bed was not a folding bed. Clean with classic grandmother's furniture. Convenient wires for hanging clothes. The view was nothing special but in Palermo I wasn't particularly interested and anyway you could see one of the many domes of the Churches of Palermo. Air conditioning was also available. We had the bathroom in the room, clean with soaps for both the shower and hands (it's nice to find them even if you have your own). Obviously with a hairdryer. Well-served breakfast: from classic coffee, to cappuccino, to juices. Fresh fruit and dried fruit. Various jams. The tart, the granita, and the bread all strictly homemade by the very kind host who of course on the first day at breakfast with a map provided us with useful information to explore and visit the city. Nearby there is a parking lot within walking distance, not affiliated, but walking we wanted to leave the car indoors and especially cool! For dinner, if you want to stay near the property, there are two restaurants to try absolutely! In short, yes, I would gladly go back!

The Novecento bed & breakfast is located in the immediate vicinity of Palermo station, where you can take the shuttle to the airport. The building is located on one of the main streets of the center and parking is available nearby. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and elegant. Each room has air conditioning, and the private bathroom is right in front. Mr. Dario, the manager of the property, is friendly and always present without being intrusive, ready to advise his customers. The breakfast with fresh fruit, almonds, and granita is the cherry on top.

We had a very lovely stay at Novecento. The hotel is just a short walk from the main station and very easy to find. The rooms are tastefully furnished and clean, as well as the bathrooms. Dario is the best host we have ever had. Not only did he run a wonderful establishment but he helped negotiate the internet to buy us concert tickets and provided a wonderful organic breakfast. We shared breakfast together and with other guests and had a wide choice. The rooms were quiet and the bathroom was directly opposite but one was reserved for each room. The lift to the 5th floor was in good order and we had a small balcony to observe the bustling Palermo.

He is a very nice man who took the time to make suggestions of where to go in and around Palermo, served us an amazing breakfast, and his B&B is a great centrally located place in the heart of the city. The B&B Novecento is a comfortable structure that has a strength in its owner. Dario will welcome you with his sunny smile that you will also find in the morning in front of a genuine and varied breakfast, rich in products prepared by him (from the pie to the granita, from the yogurt to the juice). If you want, he will help you define your own tourist itinerary that will allow you not to overlook any place of artistic, cultural and gastronomic interest in the city and surroundings. The towels changed frequently and the room tidied daily add quality to the service. Just a 10-minute walk from the station, the B&B is well served by urban and extra-urban transport. In short, a place that I would define as priceless, because the smile is priceless.

I recently booked a room here for 6 nights and couldn't have been happier. Dario is an excellent host and adds extra homemade touches to the breakfast in the morning. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean, and I felt very safe staying here. Dario made great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. Wi-Fi is free and there is an elevator to take you to the 5th floor. Dario was able to book reliable transportation to and from the airport, as well as during my stay there. The establishment was very central to the main city attractions. The room was well appointed with a stimulating view over the main street from the small balcony, host Dario very obliging and X7Phelpful concerning the accommodations and volunteered good information concerning the sights of the city. The bathroom was down the corridor but quite satisfactory. Breakfast was a delightful start to the day; good choice of cereals, lovely selection of fresh fruits, and tasty homemade jams, yogurt and pastries. Highly recommended.
