This exclusive location combines a strategic position with a mythical and surreal atmosphere thanks to the panoramic views it offers and the large paintings that characterize the rooms dedicated to the myths of the Strait of Messina: "Orion", "Colapesce", "Scylla and Charybdis" and "Fata Morgana". The B&B is located on the first floor, with an elevator, of an elegant 1970s building located in the historic center of Messina, amidst bars, restaurants, and shops of all kinds.
Just a few steps away, there are the seafront promenade, Villa Mazzini with the municipal aquarium, the Vittorio Emanuele Theater, Piazza Duomo, and the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery. It is also close to Viale Boccetta, the road that leads to the highway exit, and Via Garibaldi, the artery that crosses the historic center and leads in a few minutes to Piazza Cairoli, and from there to Viale San Martino, the shopping street.
The completely renovated apartment, with contemporary and functional design, offers four bedrooms, a shared room with a veranda overlooking the sea and the mountains, and an open kitchen available to guests.
The rooms, equipped with every comfort and private bathroom, offer suggestive views of the mountains, the historical places of the city, or the sea, facing the Madonnina dello Stretto and Calabria. The owner, Marco, is extremely kind and helpful, allowed us to enter the establishment before check-in and provided us with all the necessary information. The property is in a great location, close to the docks, and convenient for visiting the area and the city center, as well as for traveling along the coast. The room and common areas are well cleaned and adequately equipped.

Great central location. Very difficult to park nearby, but access for loading/unloading is easy. It would be useful and appropriate to provide directions for those arriving by car on how to access the area, as simply following the navigator's directions may lead to entering a restricted traffic zone! The advertising of the Miti dello Stretto B&B indicates parking availability, but in reality it is at another paid facility and not in the immediate vicinity of the B&B.

Excellent property, located in the city center, easy to reach by public transportation. The room and shared spaces are neat and clean, equipped with every essential comfort. In particular, the suite we chose offers guests a whirlpool bath with a view of the port's Madonnina and an external balcony. The only suggestion communicated to the manager to implement in the room is the possibility of having double pillows as the room is currently lacking them. Currently, there is only one quite thin pillow per person, and especially in the suite, it is absolutely essential to give guests the option to possibly use a double support to fully enjoy a restful and comfortable stay in line with the costs incurred and the room chosen. We will definitely return. Undoubtedly, the strengths are the location, convenience, cleanliness, and kindness of the staff. With some minor improvements (double pillows, specific intimate cleanser for the bathroom - only generic soap dispensers in the bathroom), it can certainly be a beneficial choice for a relaxing stay in the city. Recommended property!

Nice place to stay for a few nights, great seaside location and not that far from a train station, which was important to us. The room was clean and the owner was helpful, kitchen appliances were in a good condition. Even though our room (Orione) was facing a busy street, it was quite silent at night.

The room was spotless and very quiet despite being on a busy street. It was exactly as advertised. Despite being 2 hours late, Marco met us and explained about the property and recommended a fabulous restaurant nearby. I would certainly stay here again if coming to Messina. Edwardo and Maria.

Although I stayed for only one night, I really appreciated this property. Particularly noteworthy are the new rooms, tastefully furnished, very clean. Maybe the only downside is that being on a busy street it's a bit noisy but at night I had no disturbances, honestly. The manager is very helpful and prompt in responses, unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet him. Overall, I highly recommend this b&b.

Great location and great view from our little balcony. I regret not staying longer in Messina when such a room is available and there was so much there that I didn't realize. The host was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was very easy.

We stayed three nights as guests of Marco in the Scilla and Cariddi room. Excellent stay, comfort, perfect Wi-Fi, quiet air conditioning. Sea view room. On foot you can reach the Cathedral and the many cozy restaurants in the area in a few minutes. Marco is really kind and helpful. Recommended stay... much better than a hotel. Franco and Alessandra.
