Description

Mariposa B&B is a newly established accommodation facility that features four classically furnished rooms equipped with all the amenities: air conditioning, mini fridge, LCD TV, and all rooms have en-suite bathrooms with showers and hairdryers.

Every morning, breakfast will be served on the spacious first-floor veranda, where you will get to taste our Sicilian delights, including seasonal fruits, homemade jams, and warm bread with our local olive oil, as well as many other specialties.

Our property is located in the center of two gardens, on the main street of the town, about 500 meters from the beautiful white sandy beach, and just 5 minutes from the pedestrian area and the town center where you can find shops and various restaurants that will delight you with typical Sicilian cuisine, including the inevitable couscous, which is the most famous and typical dish of San Vito Lo Capo.

Furthermore, our property also offers free private parking.

Hello, I'm Filippo. Together with my family - Giusy, Pietro, and Alessandra - we've decided to offer our home to welcome travelers who not only want to spend their vacation at the beach but also want to discover the culture of hospitality, unspoiled nature, and authentic flavors of our Sanvito's cuisine.

I love to travel and always try to bring something back from the cultures and people I encounter. I'm a lover of greenery and flowers, and my son Pietro shares my passion for animals. Our garden is home to our little friends, such as land and water turtles, exotic birds, fish, and our mixed breed dog, Whisky, who is a part of our family!
I'm a foodie (as you can see!) and enjoy cooking a lot. So, I'll surely offer some advice on our typical dishes.

What else can I say? The best compliment we receive from our guests when they leave is "WE FELT AT HOME," and that's really important to us.

A special thanks to Giusy and Filippo for the amazing welcome, availability, for their smiles and for the kindness and passion that distinguish them. The stay at their B&B is unforgettable. Every morning they offer a very abundant and varied breakfast with local and artisanal products of excellent quality, on a panoramic terrace. Spacious, very clean, quiet room, with every comfort (including mini fridge and beach umbrella). Parking in the courtyard of the property, a few steps from the center of S.Vito and 10 minutes from the beach. Unforgettable stay! Thanks to Giusy and Filippo, two beautiful people! We stayed at this property as a couple. We were welcomed by Giusy and Filippo who made us feel at home immediately, giving us many tips of all kinds, from excursions to restaurants and more. The room was very clean with a good scent. In the morning, on the terrace, the breakfast was fabulous: from the 'pane cunzato' prepared by Filippo to Giusy's cakes, how delicious, in addition to plenty of sweet and savory options. There is parking in the courtyard for cars, a quiet place just a few steps from the center and 5 minutes from the sea.

Giusy and Filippo two exceptional people, made us feel at home. Breakfast prepared, wonderful. San Filippo: protector of the homemade "cunzato" bread. We even stayed one more day than expected. If we return to Sicily, Mariposa will be a must-visit. Thank you.

I stayed at Mariposa with my boyfriend from June 23rd to 25th, 2016. Mariposa is very easy to find and is in a very convenient location (on the main street and a stone's throw from the supermarket). The owner Giusy and her husband were impeccable hosts from the start, full of attention. Upon our arrival, after being able to leave the car in the internal parking lot, we were greeted with two slices of freshly baked cake. The room was spacious, very clean, fresh, fragrant, and quiet; the bed very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Breakfast is definitely the highlight: croissants and donuts, 'pane cunzato', bread and 'panelle', fruit, yogurt, and much more. In addition, Giusy gave us valuable advice on restaurants to visit (and also those to avoid), on various excursions (highly recommended the boat trip to the Zingaro reserve and Scopello with hippocampus), and even gave us a beach umbrella. In short, rating 10+, we will definitely return.
