It is the first Boutique hotel in Modica, the capital of southeast Sicily. Le Magnolie is a small palazzo dating from the 1700s, set in the heart of the city’s historical centre. It has seven comfortable rooms, where guest can experience “ the true Sicily”, our work commitment, a warm reception in the large communal areas of the hotel, our love for tasting the wine from our antique cellar, admiring wonderful “ halved pomegranates” on the roof-deck, from where there is a magnificent view of lower and upper Modica.

A splendid boutique hotel! Excellent and very convenient location for visiting Modica, also very close to the main street. Very spacious, clean and super welcoming rooms. Quiet property and everything very, very comfortable. An atmosphere of true relaxation in every area of the hotel. A real 'gem' is the intimate panoramic terrace, not to be missed! Highly recommended in every aspect.

The hotel is located in a quiet area just a few minutes from the center. It is a small hotel with few rooms. The location is in an alley: to get there you must go up some stairs or, alternatively, walk uphill. The assigned room was fairly clean, but it would need renovation, in particular the roof shows signs of dampness and the shower cubicle is gloomy. The somewhat old furniture also makes the room gloomy. The room heating worked great. Breakfast offered few items; the whole-wheat tart and the croissants were good. Note: to reach the hotel you must park the car on Corso Umberto, paid blue-lined parking. The staff was fairly kind.

The hotel is very nice, as are the rooms. They are large, spacious, minimal but well cared for. It has a beautiful view of the city and a very comfortable terrace. I expected a bit more from the breakfast: there was little choice. The only drawback of this property, unfortunately, is that it is located next to many steps and is not reachable by car, which is inconvenient if you need to unload luggage.

The hotel is located opposite the Cathedral of San Pietro Apostolo, on Corso Umberto I, just above the historic Bonajuto pastry shop. Be prepared to climb many stairs: to reach the property almost all side streets have stairs or a steep slope. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The breakfast is good, with a fair variety of sweet and savory options. As mentioned in other reviews, I too can only appreciate the terrace overlooking Modica; in the evening it can be a great place to relax.

The structure is very, very beautiful! Our room had a ceiling that was practically painted with the theme "Dandelion", meaning it reflected the name of the room. It's a pity about some small flaws that made everything a bit... how should I put it... so and so. The first thing that particularly annoyed me is how to get to the structure. I believe it is necessary to describe that to reach the B&B, one must face a steep ascent and several steps! (I'm not talking about 10 steps, obviously). As soon as we entered, we immediately perceived a smell of mold or "closed", which I believe is due to the thick walls, something that can surely be solved with a good ventilation system! The cherry on top... was having to "dismantle" and obviously later reassemble the headboard to be able to use the sockets to charge the phone! My comments are not criticisms, but just suggestions for improvement! It remains a fact that from the terrace you can see a breathtaking view that makes up for everything! And a super positive note... the chocolate from Modica for breakfast! Spectacular!

We were very good, practically in the central street of Modica. The real plus of the structure is the panoramic terrace. If I have to find a flaw, the air conditioner is noisy, so it's impossible to sleep if it's on. For the rest, everything is fine.

We were extremely satisfied with the facility, cleanliness, and location, but the price was excessive! We took a quadruple room, a huge room composed of a large double bed and another entrance room where the two small beds were placed. Nevertheless, there was still plenty of space and there was also a sofa. Perhaps at this point, it could be useful to add a sofa bed to make the room even more functional. Considering that one of the small beds is a typical hotel cot, this could be solved with the sofa, but this is just my opinion. The room was so clean that we could walk comfortably barefoot. The breakfast was simple and balanced. We found the staff welcoming, present, and discreet. The facility is adjacent to the main street. The only flaw, if we must find one, is that having taken the wrong road, we got lost in the uphill alleys of Modica on foot. However, once we reached the facility, everything was simple. The facility is located on a small uphill street, a beautiful pavement. Unlike some reviews, I do not think this is a valid reason to give a negative rating. On the contrary, it makes the location more characteristic and suggestive. I hope to return soon. Thank you for welcoming us so well, I renew my compliments to the facility and staff.

Characteristic structure in the heart of Modica. You have to climb a few stairs to get there. Stunning terrace from which to admire the city. Available, kind, and professional managers. Adequate and fresh breakfast, although without chocolate. Huge and equipped room, although with the typical "cellar" smell of ancient stone houses. Romantic hotel. Recommended.

Great location, brand new structure, spectacular quadruple room. It's a pity that to reach it you have to take a steep uphill road leaving the car on the main street, just for this I gave 9 instead of 10, but the location is very central and convenient for visiting Modica on foot.

Recently modernized structure, very welcoming and helpful managers. It is pleasant that it has a cellar in a cave with a good selection of wines. The terrace above the structure offers a wonderful panoramic view of the city. We stayed for three nights and we were fine. The breakfast offer could be improved. The location is favorable for visiting both upper and lower Modica. All in all highly recommended.

Very clean hotel, large and stylishly furnished rooms, with hand-painted ceilings depicting flowers. In ours, the callas were painted, something extremely unique, very comfortable bed. The hotel has a terrace equipped with tables, chairs, and an umbrella from which you can see high Modica with its Castle of the Counts' clock. Very beautiful view during the day but spectacular at night when the city is illuminated. And for those who want to enjoy a good wine, they can do so in a beautiful cellar carved into the rock. Excellent hotel location, behind the main street easily accessible by a staircase. A special thanks to Mr. Roberto who told us the history of Modica and its people, and also advised us on museums and places to visit. For anyone wishing to stay in Modica, I recommend booking Hotel delle Magnolie, you will certainly not regret it.

Very nice and clean hotel. The staff was also very nice. The view from the rooftop is great. The only negative point is that the hotel is situated in a pedestrian area. So if you have problems walking up and down (the way is a little bit steep) it is not quite perfect. For us it was really the best choice.

I booked a room for my parents' 30th anniversary and they really enjoyed their stay here. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms were modern yet still expressed Modica's baroque style, the views were breathtaking and breakfast was delicious. Thank you for making my parents' celebration better than expected!
