Description

The B&B is situated right small fishing village Rinella on the island of Salina and offers 3 rooms with air conditioning for 2-4 persons - falling asleep with the sound of the sea included. All rooms have direct access to the sun terrace, reminiscent of a ship's bow from where you might even spot some dolphins. On the terrace overlooking Lipari, Vulcano, Sicily and Mount Etna we serve the Italian breakfast with cornetti, cappuccino, fresh orange juice and daily changing international breakfast surprises.

Rinella, located in the south of Salina, is the island’s sunniest spot all year round. The B&B is very family friendly as close to the beach and in a quiet location, there are no roads within a radius of 200 meters. The ferry terminal connecting Rinella with the neighboring islands is just a short walk from the house and the island’s only sandy beach is right outside the door. Rinella’s position is ideal as a base for hikes on the mountains. In the village there are several bars and restaurants and a small grocery store. The island’s central location in the heart of the archipelago is perfect as a starting point for excursions to neighboring islands.

The B&B is also gallery and office of a Sicilian photographer (Have a look at the price infos to find out about special offers for artists - pay with your art!) and a German tour guide who takes guests on tours of the cinematic history of the Aeolian Islands and to culinary tours with cooking classes and tastings of wine, capers or olive oil.

Hello there! My name is Francesco Iannello, but everyone calls me "CICCIO". I am the proud owner of a cozy little Bed and Breakfast located on the beautiful "PRAIA DI RINELLA", an ancient fishing village. Not only do I offer a comfortable stay, but I also share my passion for artistic photography with my guests.

Our B&B is like a small creative hub, where ideas come to life. Since 2004, I have also been hosting artists who collaborate on various projects with us.

Great location, room with kitchen and bathroom is okay. The exterior leaves a bit to be desired, I believe it's not the owner's fault but the neighbors'.

Spectacular location, practically on the beach of La Praia di Rinella and the port. Despite the coming and going of hydrofoils and ferries, the area is very quiet, with the possibility of buying fish early in the morning directly from the fishermen. Being the house among the fishermen's houses, the experience is even more authentic and genuine. We were there at the beginning of May and there weren't many tourists. Host very attentive to requests and helpful. The only downside, if you want to find one, is the internet connection that is a bit shaky, but let's say it didn't affect relaxation, on the contrary... fewer distractions from the outside.

We stayed at 'La Praia di Rinella' by Francesco for a week and... The truth is we never wanted to leave! The property, just steps from the sea, is part of the picturesque fishing village of Rinella and the atmosphere is truly unique. Francesco, an artist and host, was kind, helpful but never intrusive and knew how to respond to all our requests with courtesy and sympathy. The house is equipped with every comfort (the balcony with a sea view is splendid!); the only flaw is the poor Wi-Fi connection, but the place is so beautiful that the lack of connection is hardly felt. We will definitely come back!

Great location, just a stone's throw from Rinella beach. Convenient for those who want to spend days in pure relaxation by the sea. Equipped with air conditioning and a kitchenette. Some difficulties with the connection, but it helped to disconnect from everyday life.

The property is located in a charming place, Rinella beach. We stayed in the B&B's annex for 4 days in extreme relaxation, right by the crystal clear Aeolian Sea. Francesco was very good at giving us advice on how to move around the enchanting little village. Recommended!

The most beautiful place in Salina is without a doubt this one! The terrace is located just above the small beach and the fishing port, creating a harmonious and relaxing atmosphere. Very courteous and helpful owner, directed us to some things to visit. He kindly even left us his umbrella since there was only sun in those days in Salina. Unfortunately, in general, the Rinella area is poorly connected to the heart of Salina, Santa Marina. However, the house overlooks the beautiful black beach of Rinella, beautiful and very clean like all the other beaches on the island.

The structure is new and very clean. Some furniture and accessories details are refined and of great value. Being a studio apartment, a family of 4 people finds the spaces essentially sufficient, but it must be noted that all the basic comforts for a vacation are guaranteed. Of great value is the panoramic position overlooking the beach. Among the flaws are the lack of air conditioning, partly compensated by a modern standing fan which, apart from the 40° days, has coped excellently, and the absence of livable outdoor spaces (e.g., patio or small veranda). Excellent management and owner's availability.
