Description

"The "Casa del Limoneto" is a newly opened guesthouse located in the ancient historical center of Favignana. It is situated in a garden with a typically island taste, full of lemon trees, orange trees, rose gardens, and Jasmine that spread a suggestive perfume.

It enjoys a strategic position as it is only 200 meters from the main square, about 500 meters from the beach of the village called "Praia" (reachable on foot), and 50 meters from the two main supermarkets.

The area where we are located and the surrounding places offer our guests the opportunity to dedicate themselves to shopping, admire local handicraft products, enjoy the view of the places and experience the flavors of the place thanks to various food and wine itineraries, follow cultural events that take place in various places on the island.

The House has recently been renovated and expanded to offer our guests the maximum comfort for their stay. It consists of 6 rooms with private bathroom, TV, hairdryer, and air conditioning. There is also an easy access entrance for people with disabilities that will lead them to their designated room.

The Breakfast Room is located in a covered and windowed veranda, with a view of the garden. Guests can choose whether to have the first meal of the day in the designated room or in the outdoor spaces of the house, perfect for relaxing.

We are a couple from the island and we have decided to restore and expand our house located in an underground garden that was once owned by my husband's parents. We did not cut down any trees to do this, because every plant in our garden deserves to stay where it is, planted with love by those who came before us. Some trees are over a hundred years old, and other new plants have been added by us. The underground gardens are located in ancient tuff quarries that were once abandoned and filled with soil and grown with citrus trees, vines, vegetables, and even flowers to be cut, which grew lushly sheltered from the winds of the island.

I highly recommend this establishment. The managers Gaetana and Giuseppe are wonderful people who love the island and make guests feel at home. The rooms are very comfortable, all overlooking a beautiful garden. Breakfast is a time to dedicate to enjoying the homemade delicacies, the colors and scents of the terrace, and chatting in company. Beautiful family-run property, welcoming and surrounded by greenery, surrounded by a wonderful citrus garden. Very close to the center and the port but in a quiet location. Giuseppe and Gaetana and their daughter Alessia are available for any advice about the island. Top breakfast! Freshly baked sweets and different every morning, and savory dishes always prepared by them. Possibility to rent regular and electric bikes. In short, really recommended and worth returning! Beautiful bed and breakfast in a very convenient location, with many nice kittens around. Gaetana and her family are wonderful people, kind and helpful. The rooms of La Casa del Limoneto are lovely, tidy, and very clean, overlooking a wonderful garden scented with flowers and lemons. The breakfasts prepared by Gaetana are Nobel Prize-worthy, starting from the cookies, jams, and pistachio cheesecake. Gaetana, with her husband and daughters, are excellent hosts, always present and extremely helpful. Property HIGHLY recommended.

Our review starts with: read their website, read it well, without limiting yourself in any way to dream, because it will really be what they have written, even more! An intimate and familiar place, lemon, orange, mandarin, jasmine gardens, and truly exquisite people. Rooms always clean and complete with every comfort. Sweet and savory breakfasts, homemade cakes, citrus jams, what can I say? One leaves in the morning already happy! The wifi always works, which is a non-trivial plus. In the center, but quiet. The family that runs the property is lovely. The Casa del Limoneto is close to the center. The breakfast is fantastic. There is the possibility to rent bikes on-site. Family-run B&B with a unique sympathy and cordiality, from the first moment welcomed like old friends. The breakfast is super good, homemade cakes and cookies as well as delicious jams. The location is excellent, a stone's throw and you are in the center but away from noises and various disturbances. And the lemon groves do the rest making the stay even more pleasant. We had a great time and plan to return as soon as possible.

Delightful family-run Bed and Breakfast. Surrounded by lemons, jasmine, roses. A wave of delightful scents welcomes you as soon as you enter the road leading to the property. As soon as you take the private road leading to the property, located 5 minutes from the town center, you are welcomed by the scent of flowers and fruit trees: La Casa del Limoneto is indeed immersed in a beautiful garden, made of bougainvillea, hibiscus, roses, and other flowers, as well as, of course, centuries-old lemon trees.\n\nThe owners are very friendly and helpful, so much so that they welcome customers as family members. The owners are very kind and welcoming. They made us feel at home! Every morning we could taste the jams and sweets prepared by the owner. It will be hard to forget the passito cake, the watermelon frost cheesecake, and the cassatelle. The Casa del Limoneto is a perfect solution for those looking for a simple, yet not austere accommodation, just a short walk from the town center, yet in a quiet and peaceful location. The rooms are comfortable, nothing is missing. The managers are very kind and helpful, they picked us up at the port by car and gave us several tips on where to rent bikes and where to eat to also get some small discounts. If we are lucky enough to return to Favignana, we will definitely stay here again.

My family and I stayed for 4 days in May at this wonderful place. The property is completely surrounded by lemon, orange, mandarin, medlar trees, and other fruits, as well as flowers, particularly rose gardens. The environments are tastefully furnished, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The breakfast is abundant and of excellent quality, thanks to the hands of Mrs. Gaetana who delighted us every morning with cakes, cookies, and jams, all made with the fruit from her garden. Mr. Giuseppe was always available to give us advice and suggestions to make our stay perfect. Thanks to the Manuguerra Family Giuseppe, Gaetana, Alessia, and Francesco for the hospitality: it will pleasantly remain in our memories.

I stayed at La Casa del Limoneto in September 2016. The owners and their family were extremely welcoming. They picked us up at the port. We had homemade, varied and delicious breakfasts every day. They advised us on where to rent electric bicycles and we were very satisfied. The place is very clean. Beautiful garden. It is quiet and you can reach the city center in a few minutes. I highly recommend it.

New structure 5 minutes from the historic center. Few comfortable and spacious rooms, immersed in a wonderful garden cared for by Giuseppe. Gaetana, the wife, prepares unforgettable breakfasts with her cakes, always different every day, and let's not talk about the homemade jams. How delicious!
