Description

Ibla Rooms is located in one of the most tranquil and charming areas of Ibla, the ancient heart of Ragusa, between the San Paolo and Archi districts. A meticulous restoration has seamlessly incorporated a functional, modern structure equipped with every comfort into the ancient and sturdy remains of a Cistercian monastery, which dates back before the earthquake of 1693 that, fortunately, only partially damaged it.

Inside, echoes of distant times resonate, as they do outside, thanks to the backdrop of small houses scenically perched on the rocky ridge. Just a few steps from the entrance on Via Velardo, the vestiges of a glorious past marked by a love for art emerge in an ancient arch whose origins are lost in the mists of time.

Ibla Rooms is only a few hundred meters from seven UNESCO World Heritage sites and is immersed in a unique urban fabric characterized by stairways, quiet alleys, and picturesque streets where time seems to have stopped.

Through a modern minimal style, designed to ensure maximum cleanliness and sanitation of the spaces, Ibla Rooms has managed to combine the legacy of true Sicilian tradition with the strictest hygiene standards, particularly in relation to anti-Covid procedures.

We offer a wide selection of products, catering to your tastes and/or personal needs, from the fragrance of freshly baked croissants, traditional biscuits, and bread, to cold cuts, cheeses, and local specialties like "capuliato" and olives. For a fresh and healthy breakfast, enjoy fruits, yogurt, cereals, rusks, butter, and jams, all accompanied by the delicate and aromatic coffee or a warm cappuccino. Upon request, we can also serve it lactose-free, or made with soy, almond, oat milk, or a nice cup of tea or barley. You can savor it in our indoor rooms, embraced and protected by the structure of our ancient stone vaults in 17th-century architecture fused with modern and minimalist design, or on our terrace with breathtaking views of our Hyblean landscapes, nestled between nature and the alleys of our magical Ibla village. Beautiful property, renovated and spotlessly clean. View of the typical clustered houses of Ragusa Ibla. Strategic location, close to the parking areas and a 15-minute walk from the center. Extremely friendly staff. I recommend it.
