Area Teatro Massimo
The building is located just a short walk away from the Garibaldi theatre. The theatre was inaugurated in 1861 by Garibaldi, who gave a speech to the crowd. It underwent various transformations over the years since its inauguration. It remained closed for a long time and only reopened in 1906. From the mid-1950s to the early 1960s, it was also used as a cinema under the name "Araldo" and was later abandoned, only to be reopened in the 1990s. After a long period of neglect, redevelopment work began that sparked numerous controversies among the population and the art world because it was believed to be altering this Italian-style theatre, depriving it of the charm that has attracted numerous artists in the last twenty years, from Wim Wenders to Carlo Cecchi (who was the artistic director for about ten years).

New and always clean room, equipped with everything necessary, including a furnished outdoor terrace, a bit dark but this flaw is compensated by an excellent location and the attention and availability of the manager. Good and plentiful breakfast with local sweet products. Recommended.

Already from the first contact with Germana there was a lot of professionalism and kindness on her part. As soon as we arrived we found an oasis of peace, cleanliness and comfort. Everything is new and clean. Superb breakfast. It will be our reference point in Palermo.
