Description

Giogaia is a pleasant "bed & breakfast" in Modica (Sicily), not far from the Mediterranean Sea. It is situated on a quiet hill five minutes’ drive from the centre of town.

We live in a lovely house among the trees. There is a garden round it, where you can find fruit-trees, flowers and vegetables. But there is something else: our love for privacy and family life. If you spend your holidays at Giogaia you are immediately conscious that the experience is something extraordinary.

Ours is a spacious, two storey house with two separate entrances, and two outbuildings. On one side of the house there is a garage, where you can park your car.

We can offer you five pleasant rooms. All our rooms are air-conditioned and heated. On the terrace or in the garden the guests can enjoy a few relaxing hours under the warm Sicilian sunshine.

Breakfast is served on the sunny balcony adjoining the attic or, if you prefer, in the large and welcoming lounge by the fireside.

The management is available for advice, information and entertainment to make your holiday in this part of Sicily unforgettable in every way.

Specialties of the House are those of the land of Sicily and of our hospitable city, the ancient Earldom of Modica: traditions and recipes that time couldn't cancel, and that today, in our Giogaia, become
the usual Savours that we offer to our guests.

We consider ourselves lucky because we live on the "Hillock of Mauto" and the fruits that render the table particularly tempting and rich in Flavours come from our own orchard and garden.

The most important moment of the day is breakfast, a feast of Savours that give to our guests the energy to start merrily their daily tour. Jams, cakes, biscuits, bread, fruit in season, orange squash, almond-milk - everything regularly home-made, as the famous "Modican Chocolate".

To equalize the conditions of sale to "booking.com" for the "double room 5" prices do not include breakfast.

Very welcoming accommodation a few minutes from the center of Modica. The owner is very kind. Breakfast is served on the terrace and is very varied and abundant, with homemade cakes and jams. It has a perfect location for visiting Modica, Ragusa and also the coast.

We stayed in this beautiful property, isolated from the chaos of the city center of Modica, feeling at home. Clean room and very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast also with fresh and non-packaged gluten-free options! Friendly and approachable owners, ready for every need. Recommended for a quiet and comfortable stay. We will definitely return.

Spacious apartment, very comfortable, very clean, located on the outskirts of the city in a very pleasant suburban environment. Varied and abundant breakfast, with the possibility of having it on a magnificent outdoor terrace. The kindness of the owners is noteworthy. The location is perfect for visiting the baroque cities, but a car is essential.

I stayed at this Giogaia B&B *** with my whole family at the end of June. The quality-price ratio is excellent and the owners (husband and wife) are friendly and very helpful in meeting the guests' needs. The breakfast is always plentiful and excellent, thanks to the delicacies prepared by Piero's wife. We highly recommend it.

Super positive experience for the kindness and friendliness of the owners Piero and Giusy, whom we thank once again. Very punctual breakfast, very varied and above all genuine, consumed on a terrace that can only be described as heavenly. Despite my wife's problem (celiac disease), even though we didn't warn them, they did everything to meet the needs (not insignificant for this condition) of her first breakfast. Highly recommended. We will gladly return.

Giogaia is a great reference for those who want to visit Modica and surroundings (Scicli, Ibla, Porto Palo, Castello di Donnafugata, Syracuse, Punta Cirica, etc.). The rooms are comfortable and very clean. There is a lot of attention to respecting the health and hygiene regulations in this period of health emergency. The breakfasts under the pergola are legendary: excellent, abundant, with always different and homemade proposals. The managers Giusy and Piero are very helpful and attentive to every request.

Very nice and helpful hosts. The breakfast included homemade juices and jams, several types of croissants that were delicious. Good coffee. Nice terrace where we could sit and enjoy a drink. A fridge in the top floor where we could chill our own prosecco.

Structure located at the gates of the city of Modica, in a strategic position to visit the city itself and the surrounding areas (Scicli, Ragusa, Ispica, Donnalucata, Portopalo). The room we occupied, furnished in a simple way, is very spacious and quiet (overlooking the garden). The bathroom is also large and comfortable, with a good shower. The breakfast is abundant and rich in choices. We prefer sweet things and therefore we appreciated the juices (one day they prepared a fantastic fresh fruit smoothie for us), yogurt, homemade jams and sweets, artisan biscuits, milk coffee or cappuccino as desired. The owners are extremely friendly to the point of making you feel like family (it may sound like a cliché but in this case it is really so): they went out of their way to suggest places to go for dinner rather than the best organization of visits in the surroundings of Modica. Free Wi-Fi and convenient parking inside the courtyard. In summary, a structure where we would gladly return and feel confident in recommending it.

Mr. Piero and his wife Giusy were extremely kind and helpful before and during the stay! The Giogaia B&B *** is surrounded by greenery with a spectacular terrace. Here, unplugging from the everyday hustle and bustle is truly possible! The center of Modica is easily reachable in 20 minutes! Highly recommended.

Even with effort, I can't find anything negative. Wonderful staff, location a few kilometers from Modica, internal parking, and abundant breakfast rich in typical products and/or homemade. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
