Description
Giogaia is a pleasant "bed & breakfast" in Modica (Sicily), not far from the Mediterranean Sea. It is situated on a quiet hill five minutes’ drive from the centre of town.

We live in a lovely house among the trees. There is a garden round it, where you can find fruit-trees, flowers and vegetables. But there is something else: our love for privacy and family life. If you spend your holidays at Giogaia you are immediately conscious that the experience is something extraordinary.

Ours is a spacious, two storey house with two separate entrances, and two outbuildings. On one side of the house there is a garage, where you can park your car.

We can offer you five pleasant rooms. All our rooms are air-conditioned and heated. On the terrace or in the garden the guests can enjoy a few relaxing hours under the warm Sicilian sunshine.

Breakfast is served on the sunny balcony adjoining the attic or, if you prefer, in the large and welcoming lounge by the fireside.

The management is available for advice, information and entertainment to make your holiday in this part of Sicily unforgettable in every way.

Conditions

Cancellation conditions (except for non-refundable rates)

The penalty varies depending on the time of cancellation
- from time of booking to 21 days before the check-in date, no penalty is charged;
- from 20 to 14 days before the check-in date, you will be charged a penalty of 30% of the total cost of the booking;
- from 13 to 8 days before the check-in date, you will be charged a penalty of 50% of the total cost of the booking;
- from 7 to 1 days before the check-in date, you will be charged a penalty of 80% of the total cost of the booking;
- A penalty of 100% of the entire cost of the stay is applied for failure to show or cancellation on day of arrival;

Payment terms

Balance to be paid at check-in
For non-refundable discounted rates, when the facility requires it, the guest must pay in advance as indicated to complete the booking. Payment is not refunded in the event of a cancellation.

Check-out before 10:00 AM- If you're late you may be charged for an extra night
For a booking including breakfast, breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM
Municipal tax of €2.00 per person per night is applicable up to 7 consecutive days maximum. Children aged under 14 do not pay municipal tax
Fresh towels every 3 days
Fresh sheets every 7 days
Extra towel changes, if requested, cost €5.00
Extra sheet changes, if requested, cost €8.00
Rooms are cleaned every 1 days. To allow staff to clean, we recommend leaving the room at 10:00 AM
Final cleaning is included in the price
Extra room cleaning is available at a cost of €15.00

Specialties of the House are those of the land of Sicily and of our hospitable city, the ancient Earldom of Modica: traditions and recipes that time couldn't cancel, and that today, in our Giogaia, become
the usual Savours that we offer to our guests.

We consider ourselves lucky because we live on the "Hillock of Mauto" and the fruits that render the table particularly tempting and rich in Flavours come from our own orchard and garden.

The most important moment of the day is breakfast, a feast of Savours that give to our guests the energy to start merrily their daily tour. Jams, cakes, biscuits, bread, fruit in season, orange squash, almond-milk - everything regularly home-made, as the famous "Modican Chocolate".

To equalize the conditions of sale to "booking.com" for the "double room 5" prices do not include breakfast.

Very nice and helpful hosts. The breakfast included homemade juices and jams, several types of croissants that were delicious. Good coffee. Nice terrace where we could sit and enjoy a drink. A fridge in the top floor were we could chill our own prosecco.

La struttura si trova in una zona molto tranquilla, ma permette di raggiungere velocemente i punti d'interesse della zona. Ambiente tranquillo, pulito, ordinato, con tutto il necessario. I proprietari sono persone gentili e disponibili. Complimenti per l'ottima colazione sempre varia, ricca di prodotti del territorio e prodotti fatti in casa.

Sono stato in questo b&b con tutta la famiglia a fine giugno. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo e i titolari (marito e moglie) sono simpatici e molto disponibili a soddisfare le esigenze degli ospiti. La colazione è sempre abbondante e ottima, grazie ai manicaretti preparati dalla moglie di Piero. La consigliamo vivamente.

Esperienza superpositiva per la gentilezza e la simpatia dei titolari Piero e Giusy che ringraziamo ancora una volta. Colazione puntualissima, molto varia e soprattutto genuina, consumata in un terrazzo a dir poco paradisiaco. Nonostante il problema di mia moglie (celiachia), pur non avendoli avvisati, hanno fatto di tutto per soddisfare le esigenze (non indifferenti per questa patologia) della sua prima colazione. Consigliatissimo. Ci ritorneremo volentieri.

Giogaia è un ottimo riferimento per chi vuole visitare Modica e dintorni (Scicli, Ibla, Porto Palo, Castello di Donnafugata, Siracusa, punta Cirica, etc). Le camere sono comode e molto pulite. Vi e' molta attenzione a rispettare le norme igienico-sanitarie in questo periodo di emergenza sanitaria. Le colazioni sotto il pergolato sono mitiche: ottime, abbondanti, con proposte sempre diverse e fatte in casa. I gestori Giusy e Piero sono molto disponibili ed attenti ad ogni richiesta.

Struttura situata alle porte della città di Modica, in posizione strategica per visitare la città stessa e le località limitrofe (Scicli, Ragusa, Ispica, Donnalucata, Portopalo). La camera che abbiamo occupato, arredata in modo semplice, è molto spaziosa e silenziosa (affaccia sul giardino). Anche il bagno è grande e comodo, con una buona doccia. La colazione è abbondante e ricca di scelte. Noi prediligiamo il dolce e quindi abbiamo apprezzato i succhi (un giorno ci hanno preparato un fantastico frullato di frutta fresca), yogurt, marmellate e dolci fatti in casa, biscotti artigianali, latte macchiato o cappuccino a piacere. I proprietari sono estremamente cordiali al punto da farti sentire in famiglia (può sembrare una frase fatta ma in questo caso è realmente così) : si sono prodigati per suggerirci locali in cui andare a cena piuttosto che la migliore organizzazione delle visite nei dintorni di Modica. Wi-fi gratuito e comodo parcheggio all’interno del cortile. In sintesi una struttura in cui torneremmo molto volentieri e ci sentiremmo di consigliare caldamente.

Siamo stati ospiti per 10 giorni presso La Giogaia e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. La camera era molto spaziosa, confortevole e in ordine. Il bagno ampio e pulito. La colazione era sempre molto buona e varia. È stata molto piacevole la compagnia e la conversazione con Giusy e Piero. Anche il luogo è molto bello e base strategica per visitare questa parte della Sicilia.

Location non nuova ma calda ed accogliente. I proprietari educatissimi, disponibili, cordiali. La colazione super con biscotti e marmellate della casa. Da ritornare e sarà il nostro punto di riferimento in quelle zone.

Il signor Piero e sua moglie Giusy sono stati cordialissimi e disponibili prima e durante il soggiorno!Il B&B è immerso nel verde con una terrazza spettacolare. Qui staccare la spina dal trambusto di tutti i giorni è davvero possibile! Il centro di Modica è comunque facilmente raggiungibile in 20 minuti! Consigliatissimo!

Anche con impegno, non riesco a trovare nulla di negativo. Personale meraviglioso, posizione a pochi km da Modica, parcheggio interno e colazione abbondante e ricca di prodotti tipici e/o fatti in casa. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Più che consigliata.
