Galatea Apartments

From August 7 to 21, 2026. The recently renovated one-bedroom apartment is pleasant; it's a pity it lacks any storage for clothes or even just underwear. There is no wardrobe, chest of drawers, or bedside table. Only a rod fixed between the walls with some hangers. The air conditioning is installed only in the bedroom, while in the living room-kitchen there is a fan that moves warm air. The washing machine is located on the ground floor in a shared space and is available to everyone, which is quite different from what platforms imply, indicating a washing machine for exclusive use by each apartment. There is no safe as stated on some websites. Moreover, the beach, which is only 100 m away, is very small and extremely crowded in August. On weekends, at San Lorenzo and during the Ferragosto weekend, the same beach becomes a gathering and overnight spot with tents for many young people. Shouting, noise and the roar of scooters heavily affect sleep. There is also a risk that the apartment may flood, as happened during a storm with strong winds, because the entrance door lacks a raised threshold or a seal to prevent rain from entering. I consider the value for money mediocre: the cost incurred is disproportionate compared to the absence of fundamental comforts such as wardrobes or a chest of drawers for underwear storage, the lack of air conditioning in the living room, and the location of the beach—very close but almost inaccessible. That said, I believe the property has potential, perhaps with more attention to guests' needs and the host's willingness to find solutions or to remedy the inconvenience. Suggesting to keep underwear in the suitcase for 15 days is not fixing the problem, it is not professional, it is indifference. Nor is collecting rainwater or putting towels on the floor when the living room has flooded and waiting two days for linen change.
