At Cirasella dell’Etna guests stay in a traditional lava-stone farmhouse surrounded by high trees in a peaceful location that affords beautiful views of the sea and volcano
An ideal spot for mounting excursions to the top of Mount Etna or such surrounding points of interest as Taormina and Syracuse.
Cirasella is also a cultural center with classes for adults and children on Yoga, Rei-ki Therapy, Theta Healing, and the ecological way of life.
Cirasella’s guests stay in a fully renovated lava-stone farmhouse dating to the mid-nineteenth century. The building once housed living quarters, stalls for animals, and a traditional “palmento” (the place for producing and storing wine).
There are four naturally cool rooms (13 beds in total) equipped with individual bathrooms, heating, TV, and separate entrances.
A changing table, bottle heater, and child’s bath is also available for parents. One of the four rooms is handicap accessible. There is, an addition, a common room located in the old palmento.

Laura and Giuseppe love the simple and natural so in 1993 they decided to return to live in the country starting to rebuild the old traditional stone houses and restart farming matodo with natural and organic agriculture.
They love to do if many crafts and works varie. They are enthusiasts traditional cuisine with attention to health and prepare only the best seasonal dishes of the Sicilian tradition. I personally prefer vegan and vegetarian meals with ingredients and Sicilian recipes.
Among the hobbies of Joseph, mountain walks, trips on Harley Davison and target shooting, swimming in the nearby sea of Ripon.
Among the hobbies of Laura: floriculture, yoga and energy therapies and herbal, reading and swimming.

Perfect!!! The welcome was very warm, we had dinner on site... incredible, very varied, very good, all homemade!!! The calm reigns all around, we regretted not having the time to stay an extra day... The location is ideal for hiking on Etna (magnificent!!)... a dream stay!!!

Laura is a wonderful host and an amazing cook! I highly recommend having dinner at Cirasellaetna! We had a great time and I can't wait to return with my dog. This will be my third visit, I like it this way. Laura knows a lot about the surroundings and willingly draws a map to find beautiful places. As it is a charming establishment, there is no modern heating but stoves, so bring an extra sweater.

Everything perfect. Great food, fun for teenagers with the table football, cosy and authentic room, that was warmed up when we arrived. Nice to eat at one big table with the other guests, Laura is a lovely host and helpful to plan activities.

Our new favorite bed and breakfast, nestled on the flanks of the Etna. Laura and Giuseppe are wonderful hosts. Days after the visit we are still enjoying the wonderful food Laura cooked for dinner. CirasellaEtna is an extraordinary place, a true little corner of paradise on earth. The place is calm, relaxing, you feel very good in the midst of this flowering and wooded garden. Laura and Giuseppe welcome you with great warmth and friendship, they are very sensitive and attentive. They will be happy to advise you on which activities to do in the area. We dined like kings and tasted some of the best meals of our Sicilian stay. Everything is prepared with love and delicacy, we were very grateful for their hospitality. We really hope to stay with them in the future.

The property is very good and close to Etna. The apartment is old but has everything you need. In the evening, the friendly owner Giuseppe came to light the fireplace. Unfortunately, the owner Laura was very uninterested and not at all hospitable. The common room was constantly locked and the WiFi, which only worked there, was repeatedly turned off. There was no phone signal on the property, making planning difficult. Unfortunately, we did not feel welcome at all by her.

We stayed two nights at Laura and Giuseppe's CirasellaEtna. It is a perfect calm hideaway, surrounded by lush nature and a great starting point to explore the Mount Etna region. At night, you hear nothing but the wind in the trees and get woken up by birdsong. There is a special feel about the place that makes one relax immediately. Laura is a great host and a very good cook who uses what she has in her environment to come up with very tasty typical Sicilian dishes. Everyone eats together at a large table, which is great as it means meeting people and making the holiday feel more inclusive. Breakfast included homemade yogurt, marmalade, eggs, fruit, and so much more it left nothing to be desired. Dinner was a three-course meal plus side dishes and freshly baked cake accompanied by wine. I recommend it to anyone who wants to be in a natural environment, explore the great surroundings of Mt. Etna, and eat well after a day out and about.

A corner of paradise, immersed in a splendid reserve. Laura and Pippo are two helpful and interesting people, with whom you absolutely must have a chat. The location is great and the owners know how to give very useful advice on what to see in the surroundings. Laura and Giuseppe were wonderful hosts. Their renovation of an old winery sire is amazing! We had a wonderful, traditional Sicilian dinner the first night, and breakfast had so much of everything good, we could hardly walk! The area around CirasellaEtna had so much to explore, from lava tunnels and craters, to beautiful forsts and winery visits. We had a great couple days!

The informal and authentic welcome, the sense of discreet hospitality of the hosts, the silence and peace of the neighboring woods, the good and genuine food, characterized by always different dishes, make this structure a truly magical place that made our vacation special! The hosts are deep connoisseurs of Etna and all the surrounding realities and spontaneously create simple maps with the aim of "guiding" travelers and hikers to discover the places of the volcano, from the simplest excursions to the more adventurous ones. We were very well received by the managers who also had a special consideration for our four-legged friends. Friendly and courteous without affectation, they provided us with all the valuable information to carry out our excursions on Etna. Good breakfast as well as dinner with local products mainly grown on the farm and well cooked. A fundamentally spartan and essential structure with the true country flavor, just as we were looking for. We immediately felt at home thanks to the welcoming attention offered by the owners, wife Laura and husband Giuseppe, towards the relationships with their guests. Beautiful estate with a fantastic location right under the volcano.

How not to fall in love with the Cirasella Etna farmhouse. There we found peace, relaxation, good food prepared with love and precision. The nature surrounding the cozy rustic structure and the blend of wisdom and friendliness of the owners Laura and Giuseppe are decisive factors in stating that it is a farmhouse to return to.

Summary: one of the best ever locations in Italy, with perfect food and warmest hospitality ever. Sicily has been on our wish list for years. Our choice to stay at La Cirasella, 1.000 m up the Etna slopes, greatly added to the indeed great experience the island turned out to be. The warm welcome already started during booking, where Laura went out of her way to provide near instant help with all our questions. When arriving at 9 pm we were invited to the main dining table to find a wide variety of delicious dishes set out for our first of many great dinners. Each morning we and the other guests were amazed at the assortment of delicious, often home-cooked and healthy breakfast dishes. Indeed the nicest start of yet another day of walking the Etna slopes, visiting historic towns, and strolling on the beaches. And of course enjoying Italian ice cream :-) Tip: try pistachio ice cream, you'll want to take a big box home with you. La Cirasella is located in the Etna national park and a great start, some right out of the gate, for walks on the lava flows and near moon-like landscapes. From our quiet and relaxing apartment, the cities of Taormina, Giarre, Catania, and many idyllic small mountain towns were within easy reach. A nice bonus to all this are the warm and energetic hosts Laura and Pippo. With Laura, we had nice conversations during (did I say delicious already?) dinner and breakfast. A great touch for us is having our meals at one big table with the other guests. We learned about Malta from our neighbors and had chats about all kinds of small and big topics. We can advise all readers looking for a place to stay in beautiful Sicily to at least check out La Cirasella as an option. You will not regret it for a minute! Highly recommended accommodation, Laura and Giuseppe are two very lovely hosts, the accommodation is in a perfect location for nature and peace-seeking people and an ideal starting point for hikes in the Etna region. Laura's cooking skills are particularly noteworthy, dinner was an experience every day. Not to forget a walk through the old orchard with a fantastic view of Mount Etna.
