Description
As in the Arab houses, leads to the annex by a patio or private courtyard, shaded by a pergola of passion flowers, with seats, equipped with barbecue, beach-accessories and outdoor shower.
The second outbuilding consists of a living room with sofa bed (2 places) and well-stocked kitchen, 1 bathroom with shower and one double room, from whose window we can see the shore a few steps.
The second entrance leads to a small bedroom (with double bed), always with a balcony overlooking the beach, and 1 bathroom with shower.
The two accommodations can be connected by a corridor.
Upstairs we find a large terrace of 120 square meters. with decking, overlooking the sea and decorated with care, looking for natural elements that do not separate from the place, but exalt the typical genuineness that characterizes the land in which we live.
The terrace houses two yurts, connected internally, a triple (with double bed), 1 bathroom and dressing room.
The yurt is a dwelling Mongolian eco-sustainable, consists of a skeleton of strips of larch and spruce steamed bent, twisted to form a circular pattern, which ends to form a central hole, which when opened, allows further ventilate the room.
The cover is made of felt carpets mutton, which insulates, isolating it from atmospheric agents.
Seraphic and functional, resistant desert winds, light and very welcoming, we took refuge inside pampered by the sound of the sea.

Punta Secca is a small fishing village, a hamlet of Santa Croce Camerina, Province of Ragusa, Sicily. The locals call it "a sicca" (the dry) probably due to the presence of a small formation of rocks in front of the eastern beach, just a "dry".
Punta Secca overlooking the Mediterranean, and the beaches are characterized by rock formations. The quaint fishing village of Punta Secca, is facing South in full sun and enjoys a pleasant climate all year round, mild and sunny during the winter months, warm but windy during the summer season.
Particularly enjoyable are the intermediate seasons, especially the months of April, May, September and October, when the nature of Sicily is in its full splendor, and the sea, yet pleasantly warm becomes the few inhabitants of the place and you can practice pleasant inland excursions as well as some interesting trekking routes.
The atmosphere is very far from worldliness of some famous beaches.
At the bar connoisseurs choose ricotta ice cream, a delicacy throughout Ragusa, which then consume on the walls where they can enjoy the sea, getting passionate to the challenges of night football and volleyball that are played in a pitch on the sand. A little farther on is the marina, and at its entrance, the minimalist fresh fish market where fishermen sell what the Nets pulled during the night.
The real attraction of Punta Secca, remains, however, the sea and its endless sandy beach in the summer turns into a solarium, welcoming suntan enthusiasts and fitness buffs. For a complete tour of this tiny corner of Sicily, you can advance along the coast for about three hundred meters, to Casuzze, until reaching the nearby Archaeological Park Caucana, surrounded by olive and carob. Here you will discover the remains of a city, that was an important anchor, where he has been brought to light a settlement of Late Antiquity with 25 buildings of different types and a small church with three naves, part of a cemetery.

I booked this accommodation, choosing it among others, attracted by the photos and the proximity to the famous Casa La Ciura in Punta Secca, being a fan of the well-known commissioner. But I hadn't imagined that, already on the second day, I would almost forget the reason why I was there. The beauty of the structure, the simplicity of the furnishings, the peace and serenity, the absence of noises, the possibility of going down for a swim and going back home without even wearing slippers, the absence of television and other forms of technology, being able to cook a quick meal outdoors and eat while looking at the panorama, falling asleep listening to the sound of the sea... Well, all these things have made everything else fade into the background. I literally fell in love with this place. The canopy bed and the sea-view bathtub were contested by the whole family for our 4 days of stay. It was a short vacation but it will certainly remain etched in my memories. A warm greeting to Velia, the friendly host, kind and discreet. I highly recommend a stay in this wonderful place, Montalbano aside.

My partner and I have just returned after spending a week as guests at Casa La Ciura. We spent a week relaxing, welcomed on the beautiful terrace overlooking the clear sea of Punta Secca, which is surrounded by many small natural pools formed by rocks covered with vegetation that allow you to walk softly while the sea water laps at your legs, a very pleasant and refreshing sensation. Enchanting place to enjoy pleasant summer evenings in the fresh breeze on the terrace under an equipped gazebo where you can sip a good icy drink admiring the starry sky and listening to the sound of the sea breaking on the shore. It is just over twenty minutes from Marina di Ragusa where you can stroll in the evening and enjoy carefree and fun dining. In conclusion, we recommend everyone to try at least even just for a few days to stay at Casa La Ciura and specifically on the terrace with the yurt, a truly magical place.

The terrace of Casa La Ciura was a moment of paradise in our Sicilian holiday. Like living on the deck of a boat and diving into the sunset every day. Available, outdoors, but sheltered from the hot sun and lulled by the sea breeze, many comfortable and well-equipped spaces: a corner to relax, one to cook, one to prepare and enjoy a cool drink, one to dine under the stars. All 10 meters above the beach, a flight of stairs to reach the sea, 5 minutes walk to services, restaurants, shops. And then a dive into a distant culture: the yurt for rest. Montalbano was there on the terrace at the end of the beach watching over us! Congratulations indeed to the imagination of those who conceived this unique, functional, fascinating solution.

Particularly unique structure, in person it is much more impressive than in the pictures, a well-organized terrace to be fully experienced with the utmost freedom, overlooking the sea just 20 meters away. The relaxing atmosphere, a secluded corner, comfortable to live in, meticulously cared for. Very good location, two terraces at our disposal, breathtaking sea view, lovely welcome. The stay in the yurts is very pleasant, only small downside but nothing compared to the charm of the place, lukewarm not hot water! The village in this season is very quiet, very satisfying stay.

I've been to the yurt years ago and I came back because I was thrilled by the place! I love this terrace, the bed, and the sea view bathtub. Convenient for those who don't want to drive, beach just below the house and supermarket 100 meters away. I brought my dog and we had a great time! The owner is super nice.

Excellent and I would say evocative location. Ideal place for a quiet and comfortable vacation. The Commissioner's house is within walking distance in just a few minutes. Comfortable entrance and environment (the shower looks like Mount Etna). Hearing the waves of the (calm) sea crashing on the rocks at water's edge is priceless. Kind and helpful owners. Punta Secca charming but dirty.

Perfect location by the sea, I stayed in the Yurt placed on the terrace. The tent is well made and comfortable, the terrace is spectacular even though it's unusable on windy days. Kind and discreet owners, we saw them little. I don't understand why a Bed & Breakfast doesn't serve breakfast, but it doesn't matter much, we were told that from the beginning.

The house is very nice and tastefully furnished. Very close to the sea. The excellent location also allows for free movement towards the center of Punta Secca. I really appreciated the kindness and courtesy of the owners.
