Description

Taormina combines an artistic and architectural heritage of considerable reputation with its timeless charm. Located between rocks and the sea, it offers superb views over the coast, where beaches and rocky coves, are lapped by sea water as clear as crystal.

B&B Varò is located in the historic center of Taormina, near the Clock Tower and Piazza IX Aprile with its admirable overlooking Belvedere. The house, which is located in the lovely Piazza Varò, allows you to reach immediately "Corso Umberto I", which connects the two ancient main gates, Porta Messina and Porta Catania, and is known for its many shops, restaurants, bars and bakeries.

From the terrace of the B&B, where breakfast will be served, you can enjoy a wonderful view that encompasses the sea, the ancient Greek amphitheater and the Etna.

B&B Varò is located at the lovely square "Piazza Varò", a short walk from the main street "Corso Umberto I" away, known for its numerous local business, restaurants, bars and bakeries. The "Corso" links the two historic gates: "Porta Catania" and "Porta Messina. After a 2 minute walk from the B&B you'll reach "Piazza IX Aprile" with its charming view, the famous "Wunderbar" and the talented street-artists, ready to take portraits of you to take back as souvenirs.

From the terrace of the B&B, where breakfast will be served, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view stretching from the Greek Theatre, the sea, to dwell on Mount Etna.

The B&B is located 500 meters from bus stop, with destinations to the coves and beaches, the airport of Catania or the railway station of Giardini Naxos. 750 meters from our B&B there is the cable car that takes you from Taormina to the Bay of Mazzarò and in a distance of 800 meters you can visit the famous Greek Theater.

Very nice room and bathroom in the heart of Taormina and a personalized breakfast on the rooftop terrace with a breathtaking view of the sea and Mount Etna. Alessandra and her husband are lovely and caring hosts who gave us many great tips on restaurants and sightseeing and booked a taxi for us to arrive. A real delight!

Such a perfect place to stay in this wonderful city, Taormina! If you would like to travel there, choose Alessandra and her cozy home to stay. She's a lovely person and her house has lots of surprises, including a fantastic panoramic view.

We received a great welcome, the location of the B&B is almost perfect, the hosts gave us very good suggestions for visits or restaurants (-10% for 4 of them) including a pizzeria at the foot of the building that is just delicious (Neapolitan). Alessandra also booked a boat tour for us which was cheaper than booking through websites or others. Super breakfast, with a breathtaking view early in the morning. Lastly, we had to leave on the last day at 8am to visit Etna and Alessandra kindly made us a takeaway breakfast. Simply perfect! We highly recommend +++ and plan to return.

Property in the center of Taormina (not reachable by car, parking at the beginning of the city). We stayed in a small room but with a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea that alone is worth the trip. Alessandra is very nice and extremely helpful, she also took care of some of our reservations. Worth mentioning the breakfast on the rooftop terrace, sea view and Etna. Recommended.

I knew from the moment that I booked that I would be very impressed. The host Alex responded to me almost immediately. Each time I sent an email I would receive a response almost immediately. They are very kind, friendly and so very helpful. The location is perfect with easy access. They provide a variety of food for breakfast. I would definitely return and would recommend to other people.

We had a very fun stay at the Bed and Breakfast Varo! Alessandra and Federico were among the best hosts we have ever encountered and offered us a lot of advice on what to see, restaurants, etc. to make our visit special! The rooms are small, but everything is very clean and the decor is fun and bright! The second floor patio for seating and the rooftop terrace for breakfast are beautiful! The terrace offers a beautiful view of Mount Etna and the sea! We had some disturbance from the band at the restaurant next door playing late on Saturday night, but otherwise the location is perfect. This bed and breakfast is a great value and we hope to visit again someday!

Having breakfast on a terrace with a view of Mount Etna on your right, the ancient Theater of Taormina on your left, and a splendid sea view in front is so beautiful that it already justifies the stay. If we then add the availability, kindness, and advice of Alessandra and Fede, who are simply fantastic, the stay, in one of the most enchanting places in the world, can only be very successful. A very nice accommodation in the center of Taormina with warm and helpful hosts. Wonderful is the view from the rooftop terrace, where breakfast is served, overlooking the sea and Mount Etna. We received many recommendations from the hosts that all convinced us.

We like to travel and so meet great B&B hosts a lot but Alessandra and Federico and their B&B Varò will stay in our memory forever. It was like being reunited with friends in a cosy modern architectural gem of a house right in the heart of Taormina. Alessandra’s orientation of Taormina was thorough and her passion came through. The view, location, breakfast, cleanliness - everything was top notch - highly recommended!

I think we couldn't have made a better choice. Beautiful building located in the center of Taormina, away from the chaos. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The breakfast is varied and plentiful, served on the terrace from which you can admire a breathtaking panorama. The owners are friendly and helpful, and their valuable information is an excellent guide both in choosing places to visit and in selecting venues, ensuring a perfect vacation without surprises. My friend and I stayed at this fantastic B&B Varò. Extremely convenient location in the heart of the city, well-kept and clean rooms. The owners are lovely people, available for anything. As soon as we arrived, they welcomed us very well, immediately giving us some tips to explore Taormina. Then the abundant breakfast on the panoramic terrace is the best. Along with Alessandra's apple cake. We couldn't have stayed in a better place.

I don't have enough words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay at this quaint B&B in Taormina. Let's start with the hosts; we communicated with our hosts before our arrival which made our drive to their location easy and stress-free. They met us at the parking garage and walked us to the B&B. Immediately upon arrival they helped us get settled and gave us recommendations of places to visit and restaurants. Alessandra and Federico are wonderful. They run the B&B from the heart and you can feel their genuine love and care for your experience. We became fast friends and already miss them.\n\nLocation; This is the perfect location for your stay in Taormina. It is located in the heart of the beautiful town, walking distance to everything. It is a charming area with a lot of places to see and things to do. However, while situated right in the heart of it all, the B&B is just far enough away for a good night's sleep.\n\nB&B; It is cute, quaint and clean. The upstairs balcony is such a great place for a wonderful breakfast. Wonderful views, beautiful plants and flowers! Great view of Mt. Etna and the beautiful ocean.\n\nOur only regret was not planning on staying the whole week. Truly a must-stay while visiting Taormina. Perfect, perfect, perfect.

If you want to get away from the hectic city pace and enjoy a relaxing weekend, this is the right place. B&B Varò located in the center of Taormina, very close to Porta Catania (hence, close to the parking lot, for those arriving by car, like us). Alessandra and Federico are extremely kind: excellent advice, present without being intrusive, practically two perfect hosts! Abundant breakfast catering to all tastes: the brioches are a gem! Clean rooms and despite the structure being in the center, where there are many clubs, the shutters, once closed, muffle every noise. Lovely morning chat with Alessandra. I almost forgot the gem: super panoramic terrace where breakfast is served: you know when you sit down, but not when you'll get up, it's too good!

We spent 2 days in the beautiful Taormina with my boyfriend. We stayed in this delightful Bed and Breakfast that made our weekend perfect. Kindness and hospitality are the flagship of the structure along with the location, as the B&B Varó is located right in the center of Taormina. I have traveled a lot and stayed in many Bed and Breakfasts but I definitely put this one in first place. I will cherish a beautiful memory. Thanks to Alessandra and Federico. I highly recommend it with honors and an academic kiss. Ps: I forgot about the wonderful candlelit dinner (upon request the owners can arrange dinner for you) on the beautiful terrace, where a plentiful breakfast is also served in the morning. The view from there is breathtaking. I really recommend such a wake-up to everyone.

My husband and I stayed at B&B Varò during the Easter holidays. We chose the double room with a balcony overlooking Piazza Varò and offering a charming view of Mount Etna and the sea. Therefore, even though the room is not large, the balcony makes up for the lack of space. The hosts are really nice and very helpful. The property is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The terrace where the (rich and excellent) breakfast is served is the best, with a breathtaking view. The hosts organize home dinners at a fair cost and so we had a good dinner at €15 per person (first course, main course, dessert, and water) by candlelight on the terrace. We were very satisfied and if we were to return to Taormina, we would stay again with Federico and Alessandra. P.S.: and Newton, their little dog!
