Description

The Bed and Breakfast Museo Salinas is an exquisitely maintained building in the historic center of Palermo, a few meters from the famous National Archaeological Museum Salinas and the famous Teatro Massimo.

The Apartment on the first floor of an historic building is completely restored and is equipped with an adjacent beautifully furnished terrace.

The rooms are elegantly furnished with private bathroom, heating, air conditioning, minibar LED TV, free Wi-Fi internet access, coffee machine, kettle, tea and packaged croissants.

The convenient location offers our guests all they need to spend an interesting holiday in Palermo, because all the most interesting points of the city can be reached on foot. From our B&B, you can reach the port, the railway station, the bus station with direct airport link easily, in a few minutes.

You can walk the historic center with the greatest monuments of Sicily, such as the Teatro Massimo, the Salinas Museum, the baroque churches of St. Ignatius all'Olivella and San Domenico, the Politeama, I Quattro Canti (the four corners), Piazza Pretoria, the Church of the Martorana, the Cathedral, the Royal Palace, the Palatine Chapel and the historic markets Ballarò, Vucciria, Capo and more.

For those who enjoy shopping and cuisine the famous shopping streets of Palermo as Via Roma and Via Ruggero Settimo offer a wide selection of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes and typical restaurants in the characteristic pedestrian streets of the historic center.

My partner and I stayed at this property for the weekend and felt at home. The room, besides being tastefully furnished, was clean and, considering the strategic location, also quiet. The stay at B&B Museo Salinas was perfect: room and bathroom with all comforts, daily cleaning and tidying of the room, and changing of linen every 2 days. The B&B is in a strategic location in the historic center, and despite this, few noises from outside were perceived from the room. The host Antonella is special for her availability, for all the suggestions she offers, and for the care with which she has furnished her establishment, making her guests feel at home.

Facility managed by the host Antonella, available and present for check-in/out. The well-furnished room is equipped with everything, including a welcoming area with a coffee machine and kettle that add value to the stay. The only drawback that affects the judgment is the lack of soap on each station in the bathroom (which is otherwise very spacious). There was only one dispenser to manage between the sink and bidet. We believe that this lack is absolutely and easily recoverable, and overall the stay was very pleasant.

We stayed again after a few years at this B&B, managed by Mrs. Antonella. Together with a couple of friends, we occupied the two rooms at B&B Museo Salinas and this time too we were really satisfied. The structure is very central, just a step away from Teatro Massimo and via Maqueda, allowing easy access to all the major attractions of the city and the bus stop to and from the airport. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, equipped with everything you need, fridge, kettle and coffee machine, water bottle and snacks, with large bathrooms. Antonella was very kind, friendly, and helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage in the facility on the morning of our arrival and on the day of our departure until the afternoon. The consideration is the same as our previous stay: the magnificent memory that we also brought home from Palermo this time is surely also thanks to the B&B Museo Salinas, impeccably managed by Mrs. Antonella.

The structure is located in the side street of in a central street full of bars and life but when you close the door of the B&B you don't hear anything anymore, absolute tranquility. Mrs. Antonella was really kind and helpful, besides welcoming us warmly she gave us valuable advice on how to move around the city and towards Mondello and Monreale. If we were to return to Palermo without any doubt we would return to the B&B Museo Salinas.

Everything was truly excellent at the B&B Museo Salinas. Starting from Mrs. Antonella... Very kind, extremely helpful, always ready to give the best advice. I arrived well beyond the scheduled check-in time but it was not a problem. Breakfast is not included but there is a coffee machine with pods in the room. Then biscuits, croissants of at least two different types to have a breakfast anyway. And then the location: practically attached to the Teatro Massimo, in a very cute street full of bars. I would return immediately, and I really hope to come back.

We stayed in this property in October and we really liked it. The room and bathroom were very spacious, with even a fridge, something we had never found in a B&B! There is also a nice little terrace. The location is excellent, right in the historic center but very quiet. We were welcomed by Antonella, who is a lovely person with the right attentions. Excellent value for money. If we return to Palermo, we will definitely choose this B&B.

Antonella's accommodation in the heart of Palermo is a gem! In the center next to the theater, you can walk everywhere and yet it is very quiet because it is located in a side street. The room is super equipped and very clean, Antonella is super nice, on request I even received a second pillow from her relatively late and we didn't want for anything else either. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone staying in Palermo.

I stayed at this property for a weekend with a friend. My experience is completely positive and I believe it is one of the best facilities available in the area! Let's start by saying that the location of B&B Museo Salinas is very central: as soon as you go down you find yourself in the middle of the nightlife with bars, restaurants, and much more! Despite this, the room is soundproofed so there are no problems at night due to any rowdiness and nocturnal noises. The room we stayed in was a double. The room itself is very spacious and you can move around with ease without fearing tight spaces. There is also a small balcony overlooking the main street. The bathroom is spacious and I particularly appreciated the green choice of using reusable dispensers and dispensers avoiding unnecessary plastic. Although breakfast was not included, I particularly appreciated the presence of an electric kettle and coffee machine plus biscuits in case you wanted to take a break/snack. In conclusion, I strongly recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in Palermo. I did not find any flaws, it was a beautiful vacation!

Great location, close to everything, still quiet at night. Pity that the owner didn't speak English. My only negative point, the price should have been 144 € for 2 nights, we paid in person at arrival 146 €, I thought some kind of tax. After getting back home I translated the line of the 2 € on the bill: stamp / posting cost! There were no stamp and no post involved, so a bit disappointing that even the host charged us something that we shouldn't have paid. But as we were allowed to leave the baggages in the apartment until early afternoon without extra charge, I didn't contact her about the 2 €.

We stayed in Palermo for 4 nights and this property was a pleasant surprise. The owner is very kind, provided us with all kinds of information and was always available. The B&B Museo Salinas is brand new, the room equally so, with a very comfortable bed and a very spacious bathroom, plus there is a nice little terrace. Cleaning is done and the bed is remade every day and towels are changed every two days. Truly excellent service. I would recommend it to anyone.

Located in a strategic and very central position. A few steps away is a really convenient municipal paid parking area. We were welcomed warmly and kindly and found our room and bathroom comfortable, clean, spacious, and functional, the bed was comfortable as well. The only drawbacks were the balcony unusable due to unpleasant fumes coming from the numerous small restaurants along the street (alas, I understand there is little the structure can do about it) and the poorly soundproofed rooms.

The only thing Mrs. Antonella didn't do was carry us around Palermo, for the rest she did everything humanly possible for us. We arrived late in the evening, we hadn't had dinner. Besides recommending where to go, she took care of booking a place for us. To not disturb us, she sent us a message with the restaurant's location on our phone. A few days before my arrival, I called Antonella to ask for the address of a hairdresser near the property because I was invited to a wedding on Saturday. She booked the hairdresser for me at 8:30 on Saturday morning, including makeup. It felt like being at home.

We recently stayed at this B&B Museo Salinas and we had a great time. The property is easily accessible for those like us arriving from the airport and especially using shared taxis as they stop a 5-minute walk from B&B Museo Salinas. In a few steps, you are in via Maqueda and then at Quattro Canti, in a central position with respect to the four districts of historic Palermo. It is not necessary to use public transport to see most of the historical beauties of Palermo, from the Cathedral to Palazzo dei Normanni and many of the countless and magnificent churches and museums of the city. The property is new, in a context of historic buildings, it is carefully furnished and well maintained by the owner. Despite being in the center of the nightlife, it is quiet enough to rest at night. Special mention also for Mrs. Antonella, the owner, who has always been kind and generous with advice and suggestions. The property also provides breakfast on request but we did not take advantage of it.
