Description

The B&B "La Terrazza sul mare" of the Monello Family was born from the pleasure to give hospitality, in the style of typical sicilian tradition.

It's situayed in Avola, "pearl of the Ionio Sea", in front of the lido Tremoli's beach, set up in a villa of three floors.

The ground floor is conceived as reception and breakfast room. The first floor is completely reserved to the Monello's family (Paolo, Grazia, and their sons Salvo, Cristian & Andrea). The B&B guest rooms are arranged on the second floor. All rooms, look east towards to the sea, are furnished with clima, tv, fridgebar, and safe-deposit box.

The villa has a direct access to the sea and it's surrounded by a 600 mq garden with palm trees and an english painstaking lawn.

It will become during the hot summertime nights, a magic scenery of unforgettable thematic evenings where the guests may taste typical Sicilian foods.

Very nice. Excellent breakfast and a nice owner who gives a lot of tips for discovering the area. The sea view is great, though not from every apartment. Only our bathroom smelled very bad.

A corner of paradise! We highly recommend this B&B, first of all for the location: you're halfway between the most beautiful spots on that coast. The place is quiet, and at night you fall asleep to the sound of the sea. It is run by a lovely family; Salvo, the son, manages the property and gives you a thousand tips to make your holiday even more special. Breakfast is simple but unique, with the almond granita made by Salvo's father. My partner and I will definitely come back to visit them because we left our hearts in that sea-view room!

Lovely place for those who enjoy spending a few days in complete relaxation. The access to the water via a small path reserved for the property is the main highlight. No crowded beaches and no stress. There is also a nice sun terrace with lawn where you can sunbathe. The only flaw, if we can call it a flaw, is that a few umbrellas would be needed to guarantee shade to all guests who want it. During the hottest hours there are not enough. The room was spotless and spacious with a sea view from every window and from the little balcony. Everyone was very helpful. I will return.

I stayed for a week in an apartment with a couple of friends, in two rooms with their respective bathrooms. The adopted solution is perfect for the freedom it gives you and the apartment is equipped with everything and very comfortable. The structure is very well organized and Salvo and his staff do their best to make you feel good and enjoy a wonderful vacation in Sicilian land. The only downside is the necessity to move by car even just to buy bread or the newspaper, in the immediate vicinity there is only a small kiosk on the beach. N.b. the garden by the sea is very enjoyable.

We had a great time in the very large room with three beds. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the small balcony is convenient for smokers. My boyfriend and I stayed at B&B La Terrazza sul Mare for 5 days and we can consider ourselves super satisfied! The staff is super friendly and always available, down to earth and very knowledgeable about the area. They recommended various destinations and you can tell they do it with passion. The location is strategic, we managed to visit the most famous tourist destinations without any stress because it is "in the middle" and you can easily reach the various places in a few minutes. The view is something spectacular and having breakfast in the garden in the morning with a sea view and the sun pampering you is priceless. The breakfast is abundant and their products are quite exquisite. Highly recommend!

Great communication from the host. The most wonderful haven of tranquility with spectacular sea views. We have travelled all over the world but the view from the bathroom in Room 4 was the best we’ve had anywhere. Truly stunning.

This was my third visit to the wonderful B&B La Terrazza sul Mare and we were not disappointed. It is the most perfect place to stay. The Monello Family are so welcoming and accommodating, they are incredibly special people who go out of their way to make you comfortable. The place itself is quiet and chilled out. It felt like an oasis amidst the crowds of ferragosto! Avola is fabulous and close to some amazing beaches so the location is perfect. Breakfast consists mostly of homemade goodies, fruits from the Monello's farm and even jam made from those fruits. My daughter, who can be a fussy eater, ate very well at breakfast! Our whole holiday experience was so special and we would definitely come again, we would come every year if we could! Thank you for having us to stay!

We spent a week at this property and had a great time. The owners are always kind and available for a chat. The B&B allows direct access to the sea, provided you have suitable shoes because there are rocks. The garden is an oasis of peace where you can sunbathe in complete tranquility. The breakfast is plentiful. We also made friends with other guests, which helped create a pleasant atmosphere of familiarity that left us with a pleasant memory of the holiday.

Great location, seafront with direct access to the beach (about 100 meters from the internal gate). Well-kept and well-maintained structure, very well-kept English lawn. Outside the center of Avola and close to the seafront (reachable in 5 minutes by car), in a quiet location. Very comfortable superior room, and sea view from three different points (even from the bathroom!). The owners are very kind and discreet, available and always ready to have a chat. The only note about breakfast: little variety and few local products... with the excellent raw materials you have in southeastern Sicily, you should dare more! Overall, 4 very satisfying days.

The structure is located in a very beautiful and strategic position. Beautiful garden directly by the sea. Convenient parking. It's a pity that the posidonia has accumulated on the shore and makes access to the sea from the garden impossible. The room was a bit small and the wardrobe insufficient. However, we slept well because the sea breeze naturally refreshes the air (without the need to turn on the air conditioner).

Great structure overlooking a wonderful sea, what a pleasure to go down just with a towel to dive into the sea! Let's talk about the well-kept garden where you can relax to read or eat: spectacular. Excellent cleanliness every day, definitely better than some hotels. Complete breakfast with local food and fruits where the local delicacies could not be missing: Almonds. We stayed at B&B La Terrazza sul Mare during the first week of August, and we truly had a magnificent holiday, full of serenity and the beauty of nature, expressed by the well-kept garden and the splendid sea. The location of the property is excellent: it is indeed located in front of a stretch of sea that can only be accessed through the rocks, but fortunately 100 m ahead there is a sandy beach with a really clean sea (there was even a spring), and just 5 minutes by car you can reach the beautiful Pantanello beach. The excellent hospitality of the owners is to be appreciated, who delighted us every morning with a rich, delicious and genuine breakfast. As for the rooms, the cleanliness was impeccable and the furnishing of a warm style, suitable for the style of the property and the temperament of the owners, very sunny and helpful. Overall, a highly recommended B&B!

We spent a week on vacation and we can say we had a good time. Excellent location, the structure overlooks the sea and is located a short distance from a fine sandy beach, equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds where you can have lunch while looking at the sea at modest prices. Overall all good.

A great place to stay. Super room with balcony and sea view. Excellent sandy beach, good for swimming right on the doorstep. First-class breakfast; especially loved the fresh fruit. Great to be able to sit outside in the garden with a sea view while having breakfast. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Honesty bar for water, beer & wine much appreciated. Very good eating places within walking distance, though the number is limited. Parking on site but tight entry to the parking area. The only negative was that it was not made clear before we arrived that credit/debit cards were not accepted and we had to pay cash. In addition to the quoted price, tourist tax was added.

Beautiful garden with lawns and trees where you can have a buffet breakfast. Given the splendid setting, the common areas could be improved, especially the inner courtyard and the reception. Wonderful! The house is exactly like the pictures, it is located in Avola. Avola is a 15-minute drive from Syracuse, a nice and beautiful city. With a lovely and large free beach. Grazia and Paulo are lovely and super welcoming. Their house is really by the sea, exemplary cleanliness. The beach is 20 meters from the house through an almost private path. The house's parking is perfect. Having breakfast in the garden facing the sea is just marvelous. The breakfast is great, fruit, cakes, savory items, and the coffee is really good. Besides at the top of the alley, I recommend a gourmet stop to discover Sicilian products at "Il Terrone" at a really low price! Everyone will spend exceptional holidays.

Beautiful place with direct access to the beach, very convenient! Lovely garden with sea view where you can have breakfast, relax, and take a quick shower when you come back from the beach. Very spacious room (we were 2 adults and 2 children), bright and very clean. Perfect breakfast with delicious local products. Definitely, the added value is the managers, very friendly and extremely helpful for every need. Unfortunately, we only stayed for 2 nights but we will definitely return. We recommend it to all those with children who want to relax and maybe go to the beach without the hassle of having to take the car even on vacation.

We stayed at this property for a week and we had a great time. Our room was on the first floor with a small terrace and a side sea view. The room has all the amenities: minibar, shower with new sanitary ware, everything is very clean and detailed. In the morning, we enjoyed a very colorful breakfast with a variety of fresh fruits and homemade jams (the lemon one is spectacular). Upon arrival, we were provided with all the information to make the most of our stay, the family of the managers is very kind and ready to meet all customer requests. Warm welcome from the owners and their son. They are available and provide good advice. Very nice B&B located by the sea. Rooms with terrace. The breakfasts are plentiful and delicious with homemade and seasonal jam (oranges a true delight, quince and plums) plus little cakes prepared the night before by the hostess. Breakfasts are taken on the lawn in front of the sea. I highly recommend it.
