Description

We are centrally located in one of the most famous barocco towns in Sicily, Ragusa Ibla. The fine building you have chosen for your stay in Ragusa was built in the early beginning of 19th century and has now been completely refurbished.

The building is located at the hearth of Ragusa Ibla and stands on the hill where once a medieval castle had been risen. The top floor of the building has a wonderful patio where typical lemon trees and grapes flourish.

The patio on the rooftop is the true reason we fell in love with this nice building: standing there you will be able to enjoy the most beautiful sights on the ancient town and the famous San Giorgio dome. Moreover, you will be able to enjoy breakfast there or have a drink, or simply relax while reading a book.

The bedrooms are all equipped with TV air-conditioning and a bathroom.

Nearby you can find many nice restaurants (including the renown ‘il Duomo’, rated 2 stars in the Michelin guide) to enjoy typical food.

We want to tell you nothing more but instead invite you to come see this incredible land for yourself. Hand made walls and centuries old trees make this area unique.

About 20 Km away is the blue Mediterranean sea and the golden beaches where Montalbano (from a successful TV series) used to have a swim.

We are waiting for you… and not only in summer.

A well situated B&B, 3 minutes away on foot from the Duomo. Rooms are basic, decorated almost like a monk's cell and mattresses are directly on a wooden board. However, the place is clean and you will receive a warm welcome from very nice staff. There is a small terrace / garden on the roof with a nice (partial) view of the upper part of the town. The best view you can have because I did not find a better viewpoint. Thank you very much Rosita for your welcome, it was great!

Mi dispiace che i letti non siano stati di vostro gradimento. Per quanto riguarda la colazione, cornetti, marmellate fatte in casa, torte fatte in casa, muffin fatti in casa, yogurt, frutta di stagione, arance e mandarini biologici...più di questo non so cosa possa esserci per essere una colazione ricca .

This is outstanding. The host's kindness and care are outstanding. I felt very relaxed during the stay. Thank you very much. Just one thing, the Lemon room where I stayed does not have wifi. Please make improvements like installing a repeater. However, such a minor issue should not affect the rating.

The Orto sul Tetto is the structure that makes you feel at home, thanks also to the people who manage it, super nice and helpful. Excellent location, just steps from the center and the beautiful cathedral of San Giorgio, already visible from the B&B. The terrace is the icing on the cake of the structure, with a view of the rooftops, the dome of the cathedral, and Ragusa, all of this in the morning gives you the right boost. Abundant and homemade breakfast, a real treat. A place that always stays in your heart.

Everything perfect! Excellent choice to visit Ibla and enjoy some relaxation. Spacious and clean room, abundant breakfast on a terrace that is truly a small wonderful garden. Rosita extremely helpful and very friendly.

L'Orto sul Tetto is a corner of refinement and good taste in the heart of Ragusa Ibla. The house is truly beautiful, starting from the stone pece floors, the stone of Ragusa which is hard to see elsewhere, in a succession of extremely pleasant corners and nooks. The room I stayed in is quiet, spacious and well furnished, with great attention to detail, from the vintage (reproductions!) electrical switches to the bed linen. The rooftop space where breakfast is served is beautiful, and what a breakfast! I did not try the various abundant pastries offered, but I greatly appreciated, among the various, the tangerine and black mulberry jams, the fresh bread, and the homemade apple and cinnamon cake. There is also a good selection of tea. On top of everything, there are the professionalism, kindness, and courtesy of the owner. In short, I could not have found a better place to stay in Ragusa!
