Description

Located in Via Gorizia (corner Via Roma) less than 100m from the central station, our B&B is located within the Palace Rutelli (designed by architect Ernesto Basile). It is a simple and pleasant place to stay due to the courtesy and helpfulness of its owners.

The central station is very close to the B&B and it facilitates the comfortable moving through public bus and subway in the city and toward the airport Falcone - Borsellino which is also approachable by the bus "Prestia & Comandè". B&B 's location facilitates the visit of many monuments and buildings of historical interest in Palermo.

Specifically, it is easy to visit Vuccinia Market and the Magestic Theatre, Massimo (also designed by Ernesto Basile), and subsequently Piazza Castelnuovo, to admire the elegant Teatro Politeama Garibaldi.

Along the road near Lincoln, you can visit the splendid botanic garden and the garden of Villa Giulia (next to the waterfront of Foro Italico).

The B&B is located on the 3rd floor and served by a lift. The rooms, bright and high (some with balconies) are equipped with several amenities: private bathroom with hairdryer, a set of personal hygiene, television with DVD player, air conditioning, internet (cable or wireless).

The breakfast (incl. to the room price) is typically Italian, normally served between 7:30 and 9:30. Moreover we can help your traveling around the city as we can provide you maps and tourist brochures of Palermo and Sicily.

Great experience. We were greeted and helped by Giuseppe, who was very kind and friendly. The room was basic but very clean, located on a hallway with several other rooms (but we never heard anyone outside or next door). The owners live in the B&B so they're very available. The A/C in the room works great, and the toilet door is a bit thin but does the job. The location is very practical, near the train station, but not sketchy at all (although it does get a bit loud at night, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper). Overall, perfect for a short trip to Palermo!

Everything was great! Guiseppe was a very hospitable and helpful host, the apartment is located near Palermo Centrale and close to the main streets, the room and bathroom were clean, all facilities were available, no problems with water.

The main criterion in choosing the B&B Castiglia is its proximity to the train station. This property has the advantage of being located in the same building as the owners who are always available and attentive. Two only downsides: - The noise of Palermo easily passes through the large wooden window equipped with single glazing. - One should not consider this accommodation as part of a B&B, since breakfast is not included in the service, but this was specified at the time of booking. It would still be wise to rename the establishment.

Quite close to the city center and a stone's throw from the central station. The house is large, well furnished with new furniture and above all very clean (apart from the blackened shower tiles, but there the fault lies with the mosaic tiles in vogue a few years ago). Gabriella is extremely helpful and kind! Highly recommended property.

The B&B Castiglia is a great place to stay for a few nights, it's close to everything, nightlife, the historic center, museums. The staff are very attentive to all needs. Giuseppe was very kind and thoughtful.

Strategic location near the central station and a few minutes from the center. Nearby supermarket, pharmacy, bars, and various rotisseries. Clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms considering the traffic below. Giuseppe is an excellent host, discreet but always available to the customer. He welcomed us warmly, giving us valuable logistical advice immediately and provided for all our needs, for example, giving us a beach umbrella and an umbrella for one of Palermo's rare rainy days. We had a small drainage problem that he promptly resolved. It is an excellent solution to visit Palermo, on foot or by public transport, avoiding the costs of renting a car. We absolutely recommend it.
