Description
The structure, in Mediterranean style, is composed of a single elevation above ground and is sandwiched between the olive trees, 5 km from the archaeological park of Selinunte, the largest in Europe, from the beaches of Marinella and Triscina and the nature reserve of Belice River. We are within 3 km from the junction of the A29 Palermo - Mazara del Vallo and km 1,800 from SV Castelvetrano-Agrigento. Within a radius of 80 km you can also visit the archaeological site of Segesta, the medieval village of Erice (TP), located 750 mt sea level and the resort areas of: San Vito Lo Capo, Scopello, Castellammare del Golfo and the Zingaro nature reserve.

The B&B Santa Teresa is located 5 km from Castelvetrano, a city rich in monuments such as the medieval church of SS. Trinity of Delia, while in the old town you can visit: the Mother Church, the Church of Purgatory, the Fountain of the Nymph, theater Selinus, only in the province, and other important monuments. At the museum of Castelvetrano, in addition to various archaeological finds, you can admire the statue of Selinunte dell'Efebo dated between 480 and 460 BC.

Do not forget that Castelvetrano is the birthplace of the great philosopher Giovanni Gentile. In the city, in addition, you can taste the typical products of the place, including the famous black bread of Castelvetrano and extra virgin olive oil.

The origin of the town of Castelvetrano would go back to the ancient populations of Sicane Legum and then to the colonies of the so-called veterans Selinuntini for the guard of the commodities from which the ancient name Castrum Veteranorum.

In 1299 Castelvetrano is granted to Tagliavias future principles dellla city, whose name will be changed over time in Aragon and Pignatelli.

In 1522 Charles V raised the city to the county, in 1564 Philip II of Spain and set it up in the principality.

This territory is marked, in part, by the path of Belice, one of the few true rivers of Sicily, known in antiquity as the Hypsas, which originates from the mountains behind Palermo, with two different arms through the center of Sicily and then reunited mid-term in the Belice Valley flowing near Selinunte, the emblem of the greatness and riches of this land, today, is probably the largest archaeological site in Europe.

Breakfast in prevalence is served, weather permitting, outside of the structure, among the olive trees, fruits and flowers under a big umbrella or under a gazebo on the porch or in the kitchen.

The breakfast served is as follows: coffee, milk or tea, fruit juices, yogurt, croissants, empty or filled with jam made ??in house or with cottage cheese topped with: sugar, grated lemon zest and cinnamon. Seasonal fruits, plums and figs, cakes made ??at home, milk cream with lemon zest and cinnamon, and cannoli mignon stuffed with ricotta cheese.

For those who prefer savory, breakfast is as follows: black bread of Castelvetrano (cunzato bread) (flavored bread) with extra virgin olive oil produced on site, fresh and dried tomatoes, anchovies, salt and grated pecorino cheese first, basil and oregano. What can I say about me? I am a true Sicilian and I really love my land. I have traveled far and wide our Italian, for business; I can tell you that every region of our country, has the beauty that other nations envy us for both enchanted landscapes that our specialties culiniarie: what everyone is looking for, including foreigners, when visiting new places. At the Civic Museum of Castelvetrano, as well as various archaeological finds, you can admire the statue of Selinus dell'Efebo dated between 480 and 460 BC.
