Description

The Antico Casale Benalì, built in the early 1900s, has been totally renovated with great respect for the original architecture, maintaining the typical building materials of the era. The property is located in a ideal position, a few kilometers from the city, allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside, and at the same time be able to reach the city center in 5 minutes or buy anything needed thanks to the nearby Archimede Shopping Center. Furthermore, the motorway junction located just 1 Km away, allows you to easily reach all the nearby destinations, such as the seaside resort of Fontane Bianche, Avola, Noto, etc. All the rooms are very bright, with large arched windows, being a key characteristics of the house. The arched geometry is a constructive peculiarity in the architecture of the early 1900s, in fact, two rooms are unique thanks to their imposing arch in carved stone, original of the time.

All accommodations are also equipped with every necessary comfort; heating, domestic hot water, air conditioning, en-suite bathroom, minibar, wall-mounted TV, desk, Wi-Fi, safe, memory foam mattresses, wooden slats, sheets, towels, courtesy bathroom set, etc. Some rooms also have a private veranda, with table and chairs, which can be accessed from the French window that faces directly outside. The building stands in the middle of a lemon grove that extends for 13 hectares around the property. You will have the opportunity to have breakfast on our large veranda, dominated by the characteristic centuries-old olive tree, enjoy the tranquility of the countryside, relaxation, the charm of ancient materials, the elegance of the architecture of the time, are just some of the ingredients that characterize this place. Leave the stress of the city behind and experience an authentic ancient Sicilian residence.

The property is quaint and in the countryside. Beautiful decor. The property was clean and well maintained. Valentina, who served breakfast, was very nice and personable. The property is a short drive to Ortigia and Syracuse attractions. I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed for four nights. The accommodation is like a little oasis to come home to. The stunning rooms and the pool are a welcome relief from the hot temperatures in September. A short drive (15 minutes to easy parking) to Syracuse and easy access to the motorway make it convenient to discover other towns. Andrea is extremely welcoming and helpful and has good recommendations for restaurants. I would highly recommend it.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we had to say goodbye to our "home away from home", we felt so welcome and so happy in this beautiful B&B. From the fantastic location to the clean and beautiful pool, the warm welcome from the great host Andrea, the wonderful rooms, the fantastic breakfast and the extraordinary cappuccinos and the warmth of host Valentina, this place had it all. We were so sad to leave and will miss everything about this perfect place. Very welcoming staff, enchanting place, perfect for those seeking a moment of peace and tranquility immersed in beauty! The location is ideal for easily reaching by car the many marvelous places in the Syracuse area and, more generally, in eastern and southern Sicily. It's also wonderful to spend time within the property, enjoying the delightful pool! Highly recommended!

This was a real gem of a find. In a very peaceful location surrounded by lemon trees and amazingly pretty orleander bushes. It was a calm oasis to return to at the end of a busy day. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the swimming pool stunning and just the right temperature. Our room with a terrace was very spacious with plenty of storage, a welcome fridge and the bed very comfortable. The en-suite had a lovely rainfall shower with plenty of hot water. Andrea, the owner was very welcoming and helpful in suggesting where to visit and good restaurants. He was justifiably proud of his hotel and loved talking about it with my husband. Valentina, who did the breakfasts and the cleaning was so amazing - hard working and could not do enough for you. One of the loveliest people we have ever met! We would definitely recommend this to couples looking for a quiet break yet do not want to be too far from Syracusa and Ortigia. You will need a car, but you can pick that up from the airport. We would definitely return here again and hope that Andrea goes from strength to strength with this business.

Nice stay with a beautiful pool (but not heated, a bit too cold in mid-May), everything very clean. Valentina and Andrea are very kind and helpful, always available. Good breakfast. Located in a place easily accessible to all the baroque cities and about sixty kilometers from the airport. Quiet place. Highly recommended!

Perfectly located to visit the old town, archeological sites and restaurants of Syracuse but also Ragusa, Noto, Scicli, Modica and a chilled day on the beach at Avola! The swimming pool offered some welcome respite at the end of a busy day.

Spacious rooms, well maintained pool area and a friendly host. The breakfast was acceptable but missed some variation, basics such as yoghurt would already help. The hotel is very well located to visit all touristic places in Syracuse.

Structure a few kilometers from Syracuse, very well-kept both internally and externally with a large garden around the pool. Spacious, clean, and well-furnished rooms. Sweet and savory breakfast. The tranquility of the place and the proximity to the main points of interest in the area are greatly appreciated. Owners attentive to satisfying customer requests. Definitely recommended.
