Description

Welcome to the Don Carlo rural tourism centre in the Sicilian hills.

If you are dreaming about an exciting but relaxing holiday in the hills of Sicily, the Don Carlo tourism centre is just the place for you. Lost among the green fields of Erice and nestled between olive groves and fertile vineyards, the tourism centre dominates the valley and provides some unforgettable views.

There is no better place to relax, enjoy the Sicilian sun or take a swim in the pool while the kids are playing in a specially designed area just for them.

Head up to the top of the local hill on foot or mountain bike where our own olive grove grows: From here you can see the archipelago of the beautiful Egadi Islands. Come home to a rural Sicilian farmhouse which has been completely reformed but still has all of the charming architectural features of old.

There are 6 rooms at your disposal, all equipped with air-conditioning, heating and mini-bar. Outside you will find a barbeque, a kitchen and a wood-fired oven.

Each morning you will get a tasty and healthy breakfast made from our home-grown produce: Our bread, our jams and our seasonal fresh fruit.

We make preserves and conserves, top quality extra virgin olive oil and also Vino Erice, our own wine.

The rural tourism centre is situated in an ideal location to enjoy the wonderful Sicilian coast and all of the historic and artistic sites close by. You can visit the main tourist attractions in the province of Trapani just a short drive away, these include: Segesta, Selinunte, Mozia, Erice, San Vito Lo Capo, Marsala, Mazara del Vallo. Palermo is just 80 km away as well.

For us it was a good accommodation, because from there we could travel everywhere in a star-shaped way. The day always started with a lovely breakfast and a cheerful and friendly Anna. If you want to visit Trapani, I really recommend you to go to Agriturismo Don Carlo. Everything was perfect! Especially the meals prepared by Rosa, the cook.

Too bad about the dirty pool, we had to clean it for two days with suitable equipment because it was full of insects and leaves. It's a shame that there were hardly any of the managers around, except at breakfast. To improve this aspect. In context, not bad.

This place is wonderful. We stayed here for 4 nights and had booked dinner for one evening. In the end, Rosa cooks so well that we had dinner here every night. It was amazing both for the quality of the products and the quantity. Leonardo, the host, is very kind himself and has a top-notch staff. We feel good here, we will definitely come back. A big thank you, thanks to all of you, our stay was perfect.

The evening meals were very good and plentiful. Agriturismo Don Carlo, Anna even revealed to us the true recipe of Sicilian caponata. Only small downside the presence of many workers to make changes in the construction. Really to be recommended.
