Description

The ground floor of the house where my husband Ignazio and I (Giuseppina) live is completely dedicated to the B&B, separate from the rest of the house and with its own entrance. There are three rooms: two doubles and one single, accommodating a total of 5 guests. The bathroom, renovated in 2013, is unique but exclusively for the use of the B&B.

The small courtyard, also completely renovated in 2013, is filled with flowers. The pictures above give you an idea of what our house looks like.

Within a 300-meter radius of our property, you can find public transportation and services such as banks, post offices, and supermarkets. Approximately 800 meters away (a 10-minute walk), you can reach the well-known Polispecialistica Sant'Elena Clinic on Viale Marconi.

The beautiful Poetto beach in Quartu can be reached by car in 10 minutes, or by public transportation from the CTM point on Via B. Sassari, which is 5 minutes away from the B&B.

Our well-stocked library is at your complete disposal, as well as the internet connection and free WiFi throughout the B&B area.

The kitchen where we serve breakfast is available for you to relax, read, and/or enjoy a quick snack or pizza. In the house, you will find everything you need (iron, hairdryer, clothes rack, fridge, microwave, etc.). If you have any doubts or problems, do not hesitate to contact us, we will be happy to assist you.

My name is Ignazio and together with my wife Giuseppina, we manage our B&B Sa Bardunfula in our house in Quartu Sant'Elena.

We are two outgoing and very friendly people who enjoy company.

I am a retired non-commissioned officer of the Italian Air Force, and now that I finally have some free time, I thought, along with my wife, to renovate my parents' old house (which we almost completely did ourselves), and turn it into a B&B for the pleasure of meeting new people.

We hope to have you as our guests soon, so that we can show you, if you haven't had the chance yet, the hospitality and simplicity of our land and us Sardinians. We are waiting for you, adiosu!

The Sa Bardunfula B&B is located in the historic district of Sant'Elena, a very peaceful area, behind the Basilica of St. Helena, a stone's throw away from services and public transportation that connect Quartu (and the entire coast) to Cagliari and the Port. In front of it is the Trenitalia train station, from where you can take the shuttle train to Elmas Airport, which is about 8 km away (8 minutes by car).

For sea lovers, you can reach the Quartu Poetto, just 2 km away from the B&B (Blue Flag 2011/2012/2013/2014/2015/2016/2017/2018, equipped with all services and some beach resorts for bathers), in just a few minutes.

On foot, you can reach the Civic Market, the Sant'Elena Clinic, the Polyclinic, the Wednesday Market in Via della Musica, several banks, the post office, and the CTM point, the bus terminal for all destinations.

For those who love cycling (bicycles can be rented), a cycle path starts from Via Colombo, running along the sea and the Molentargius pond, in a spectacular setting where the main actors are the thousands of pink flamingos that have been nesting there for years. It reaches the port of "Su Siccu" in Cagliari, in front of the Basilica of Bonaria.

We really enjoyed our vacation at this hotel. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortably furnished. We would especially like to highlight the warmth of the hosts Ignazio and Pina – they were always friendly, helpful, and made sure we felt at home. The breakfast was a highlight every morning: abundant, fresh, and prepared with a lot of love. The location of the hotel is also perfect – quiet, yet central, so everything can be easily reached. Bed and breakfast located in a quiet street, close to public transport. The structure was well maintained and equipped. Many options for dining nearby, supermarkets as well. Ignazio and Giuseppina and the family were very welcoming. Thank you very much for everything!

The location is spectacular, just 2 km from the wonderful Cagliari Beach. All city transport is available, even up to the airport from the nearest bus hub, 'Brigata Sassari'. The host is wonderful, helping out to plan for a day touring around the city and 100 km away from it. The bathroom and room are perfectly clean. The house is maintained better than hotels. Nearby the Brigata Sassari bus station, there are many good food options that are better than what is available in the city center. I'd like to visit again to discover the rest of Sardinia.

The accommodation is somewhat off the beaten path, but peaceful. When all rooms are occupied, there may be issues with the use of the bathroom and kitchen. B&B to me actually means that breakfast is served with coffee and fresh bread. That was not the case. However, it wasn't a big deal as we were alone in this beautiful apartment and could go shopping. So we decided the breakfast time and what we wanted to eat ourselves. The owners are friendly. It is better to communicate in Italian. Only the daughter could help us in English. The bus stop is easily reachable about 500m away. There are multiple tickets available. Public transport is very good. However, exceptional places like water parks, etc., should be researched well on the Internet beforehand. The Wi-Fi worked well. I can still recommend this accommodation, especially for those who want peace from the city life.

We stayed from September 9th to 14th and I must say that we had a great time: the availability of the managers is excellent, the welcome and kindness are great, the breakfast is more than abundant and for two mornings we found a tray of traditional Sardinian sweets to lick our lips. The proximity to the sea and the cleanliness are extreme: when you enter, you breathe a good smell of cleanliness. I will gladly return.
