I started this business in March of 2009.

I found this experience really stimulating to me, especially in it's essence, the relationship with the guest from his arrival to departure.

Accommodation two steps from the station, the port, and the center of Cagliari. Externally the building is run-down and the stairwell is dated and has no elevator, while inside it has been tastefully furnished, although the quality of the materials is not always adequate (the washbasin countertop is cracked due to water infiltration). The room is spacious and clean, the bathroom is small and has several drainage problems. The mattress is inadequate and the light blocking is insufficient. It was communicated that the room cleaning and breakfast at the bar would not be available on the 1st of the year: it would have been useful to know this at the time of booking and not later (was the price reduced for this? There is no trace of this information). I suggest an agreement with a different bar. Overall, the value for money is among the best in Cagliari. Great base for short stays, I would not stay more than two nights.

Everything was wonderful. The setting was very well maintained, the staff were kind, the cleanliness was excellent, everything was fine. My husband and I stayed at this B&B in Cagliari for three days and we felt very comfortable. I think we will gladly return.

The property is nice, clean, and tidy. I stayed in room no. 4, which I found a bit noisy because of air conditioners in the light well, which make it necessary to keep the windows closed. I was disappointed not to find breakfast; the one at Bar Roma is rather poor, although the location is nice. There are other bars nearby with better food options. Since I arrived during the night, I would have appreciated finding something to eat in the room, even just a packet of crackers or some biscuits. Roberta is very kind and always replied to me promptly.

The little square where the B&B is located is rather dirty. The building's facade is completely dilapidated. The interior of the building and of the establishment itself is here and there "decorated" with fake plants. I do not like all of this. The location is convenient, the room is clean and fairly quiet.

Pleasant stay in a beautiful,clean and very centrally located property. The apartment is on a high floor with access to a lovely terrace. The host and cleaning staff were very kind and helpful,even after checkout.

The air conditioner needs to be cleaned inside: between the slats there is a buildup of dust and debris visible from above. It also smells slightly of dust when the air conditioner is on. Otherwise the accommodation is fine. The host is always reachable online when needed. Breakfast (only 1 croissant or 1 pastry + 1 coffee) must be taken in a partner café about 10 minutes away.

Perfect for restaurants and the historic center. Seven minutes' walk from the station. Second floor without an elevator (old building). The room is new, clean and quiet.

The structure is very clean and well-maintained. The staff and the owner are kind and helpful. The breakfast is good. It is located in the center and is convenient to the train station. The only downside: on the second floor without an elevator, it is not convenient for those with large luggage and mobility issues.

The house is completely run-down from the outside. Even the garbage man couldn't believe it was a hotel. Breakfast had to be taken outside. Per person only 1 croissant, 1 coffee, 1 glass of water and nothing else! Apart from the cleaning lady (in the morning), who handed us the room key, there was never anyone there and even at check-out there was no one present. The room was thoroughly cleaned and was also very quiet. Everything worked in the room and at this price, everything is okay. The residence is totally unsuitable for older people or for people with disabilities. To access the residence, you have to tackle 50 steps and there is no lift. In this heat, it is a feat!

Everything is good, everything is beautiful. One flaw (for us) was the breakfast: one day we were served croissants that were clearly from the day before. We didn't complain to avoid unnecessary discussions. I would reconsider the agreement with another bar.

Positive points: Nice and clean structure in a central location managed with high professionalism and courtesy. Negative points: Room on the second floor without an elevator and breakfast to be consumed in a nearby bar with only one hot drink and one sweet item (frankly, I could have done without it). There is no parking and it is in a ZTL area, so you have to park in a paid area about 300 meters away or rely on luck for a free public parking space.

The room is okay for sleeping, the view from the window is only on a ventilation shaft. However, the location is perfect in the heart of the city, the cleaning is very good, daily thorough cleaning, but the toilet/bathroom smells a bit like sewage (probably due to the sink drain). You can skip breakfast (crackers and 2 rolls for 3 days on the table), better to go to one of the nearby cafes. The owner is not on site, but is easily reachable by phone.

Everything was great, except for continual issues with the WiFi that were not addressed. I was not offered a partial refund either, and when brought up to the hosts they were unable to fix it. It is not all their fault, I would stay there again if the WiFi situation gets resolved.

Palace in the city center, convenient to the liveliest area for little restaurants and various services. The structure is dated but the interior is completely renovated in a very elegant and functional way. The only point to note would be the lack of an elevator, but everything else is perfect.

The 'Residenza le Scalette' is very well located in the heart of the historic center. The breakfast is mediocre, it consists of just a coffee and a viennoiserie; if you want another coffee, you have to pay for it separately. Considering the price of the breakfast, I don't recommend it. I was surprised to see that there's never anyone at the reception, it's something that should be addressed; I was planning to ask for a lot of information.

Everything was perfect. The location is strategic and very good, right in the center of Cagliari 100m from the square. The internal structure and the furnishings are tasteful and new. The room is spacious and has a small balcony with a table where you can take a breath of air or smoke. Very clean with a large shower. There is also a common area where you can eat something quickly. I am super satisfied and recommend it. Furthermore, the person who manages it is very friendly and helpful.

What can I say, beyond the old gate opens up a whole new world: excellent structure, new, clean and just a stone's throw from the center and the harbor, in 5 minutes you can reach anywhere. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and always ready to meet our requests. Also excellent is the idea (which I had never tried) of the breakfast ticket at the bar just a 5-minute walk away.

Residenza Le Scalette is located in the historic Marina district close to the harbor, only a few minutes to the central train and bus station and near a lot of Cagliari's sights. I stayed for 4 nights and everything was perfect! The room was clean, nicely decorated, well heated (I stayed there in December) and had a water kettle and a little fridge. I picked the Italian style breakfast with croissant, fresh fruit and cappuccino - there would have been some more options to choose - and I enjoyed it a lot! Michele is a wonderful host, very helpful, friendly and fluent in English. He provided a lot of information about where to go, what to see and where to eat in Cagliari. I can absolutely recommend this place.

Host was very nice. Nice room with its own bathroom. Very nice terrace on the rooftop for having breakfast. Very well placed to get quickly to all the interesting places in the city of Cagliari. Air conditioning could be a little more effective and the breakfast is fine if you don't like it too heavy. Maybe you could miss something to eat like eggs or cereals which are more substantial.

Really welcoming and kind host. From the outside, the building is not the best looking but don't stick to that, the reception area and the room was looking quite new, with beautiful furnitures and the bed is like a cloud (soft mattress). The place is perfectly located in the center. Breakfast on the terrace upstairs is perfect.

The room and the service are perfect. The big problem is the breakfast on Sunday. You have to go to a bar and it's not good at all. Only one cup of coffee and just one croissant. And if you want something else you have to pay extra. Terrible.

Der M. Ghislaine Thanks for review and stay at Residenza le Scalette. As talked about, the breakfast at partner café, which is only option available on Sunday and holidays, it's result of a compromise. There're several bar near us, but the partner one is the only open 365 days, from the earliest time (5:30), so to give opportunity to take something to guests who need leave early, well spotted (few minutes from us and on railway station and airport way as well). The café offer cannot be various like the breakfast in our guesthouse, of course. The choice, also by virtue of the price, is that of the classic Italian breakfast. So sweet. With a hot drink, the choice of a fresh pastries and a glass of water. This is clearly stated in the information sent at the time of booking and then verbally upon delivery of the tickets to use the service. Any addition or extra to this menu is obviously counted. part and is charged to the customer. Best regards, Michele

All good, very kind manager, clean rooms, well furnished and excellent location in a quiet area but close to everything. Good breakfast. Only flaw: the heating in the bathroom was not working and taking a shower was difficult.
