Breakfast
We do not serve breakfast as in Italy landlords have the right not to offer this service and we have chosen to do so because we only have three rooms. In any case, we are happy to offer you a Lavazza automatic machine within 24 hours that prepares excellent espresso, cappuccino and latte macchiato. Regular or decaffeinated coffee. Also rusks, butter, tea and herbal teas, free and available 24/7.

Area Castello
Castello (Casteddu de Susu in Sardinian, Castello Superiore in Italian) is the main of the four historic districts of the city of Cagliari. It rises in a predominant position, on a limestone hill, about one hundred meters above sea level.
The district was founded in the thirteenth century by the Pisans, who fortified it, equipping it with walls, towers and bastions and transferred there the seats of civil, military and religious power from the judicial capital of Santa Igia, which they themselves had previously destroyed, decreeing the end of the Giudicato of Càlari.
Since then, under each domination, from the Pisan (13th - 14th century), to the Aragonese-Spanish (14th - 18th century) and Piedmontese (18th - 19th century), up to the second post-war period, the Castello district hosted the palaces of the power and noble residences, so as to identify with the city itself, which, in fact, is called Casteddu in Sardinian. The neighborhood is still accessed today through the ancient medieval gates, opened in the walls that still surround a large part of the perimeter of the Castle, isolating it from the rest of the city.
The walls that run along the entire perimeter of the ancient Castello district include the tower of the Elephant and that of San Pancrazio.
The Castle currently houses important institutions, such as the Prefecture and the Council Chamber of the Metropolitan City of Cagliari in the premises of the Royal Palace, located in Piazza Palazzo.
The Parish of the Castle is dedicated to Santa Cecilia and has its seat in the Cathedral Church, the main church of the Archdiocese of Cagliari, also in Piazza Palazzo.
Even the University of Cagliari has its headquarters in the Castle, in the eighteenth-century building that houses the offices of the Rectorate.
The Castello district offers various reasons for a visit, both for the numerous historical and artistic testimonies that can be found there, and for perhaps the most suggestive places, which can be found along the narrow streets, the stairways, the small squares that open up like terraces, on beautiful landscapes and overlook the dark entrance halls of the palaces, once sumptuous noble residences and today often with a decadent charm.

Everything perfect. The location is fantastic, in the ancient and panoramic heart of the city, a stone's throw from the cathedral and the museum citadel. The public parking (9 euros per day) is a few minutes away by elevator, so it's very convenient even for luggage. A common area allows you to have a coffee in the morning, even if breakfast is not provided. All my compliments to Luca, the manager, very kind and helpful. We will definitely come back!
