Le Coccinelle

We stayed for two nights in this B&B. We trusted the reviews. The owners of the establishment are friendly and sociable. The room is super clean, just a stone's throw from the center. We had dinner in their restaurant just a few steps away and we had a great time. Definitely recommended. We will return.

Excellent price-performance ratio! Very attentive and friendly host. Very central location only 5 minutes to the harbor. Rooms very clean, the furnishings are in good condition. Only the breakfast is "typically Italian", but that's a matter of taste. There is a fridge in the room and you can store the missing products there.

I stayed for 8 nights at the facility. Total relaxation, this was enough for me to recharge. Excellent.

Excellent structure located in a strategic position. Excellent welcome from Mrs. Giuseppina who was always very kind and ready to meet our needs. I highly recommend the stay.

Very well-kept and clean property, located in a quiet and strategic position just a few steps from the center. Spacious, very clean, well-kept rooms equipped with everything you need. Possibility of parking for motorcycles in their inner courtyard. Breakfast with fresh, quality and always different products. The hosts are spectacular: helpful, kind, and welcoming. For b&b guests, there is the possibility of eating in their restaurant where the food is excellent. I highly recommend.

Very satisfied with the excellent Bed and Breakfast, I highly recommend it. I was on a motorcycle and in the evening I was always in the well-guarded inner courtyard. Thank you very much for the welcome.

Stealthy and autonomous welcome because the owners have a restaurant nearby. Clean, very large and tidy guest room. Self-service and quiet breakfast. Location close to the city center and quiet.

Unfortunately, breakfast was made up of products that were too sweet and industrial, lacking fresh bread, for example, or unsweetened cereals. 10% discount at the family restaurant for B&B guests (which I highly recommend).

A lovely room with bathroom near the center (bars, restaurants, shopping) and the port of Palau. Everything is new, well decorated with nice materials. Compliments for the breakfast with fresh and quality products. A big thank you to our host for everything and especially for his availability and responsiveness. We will come back with pleasure!

New room very clean, great location to move around, 5 minutes walk from the port, parking is easily found on the street. The cleaning lady is really lovely. Thank you!

Great location, plentiful breakfast, helpful and kind owners!

The facility is ideally located for those, like us, who needed to stay near the train station, from where the next morning the departure of the Green Train to Lago del Liscia and Tempio Pausania was scheduled. However, the position is also optimal for those who need to rent a dinghy at the small port, which is a maximum of 10 minutes away by foot (the main street of the town is 80 meters away), take the ferry to La Maddalena or tour the beaches and tourist attractions of the area. The only downside, it is not easy to find parking near the facility, except in the external square of the station, if lucky. The owner Pina is friendly and very helpful, if you dine at her restaurant-pizzeria 'Sa Pinta' (about 200 meters away if you cross the train tracks) she does not hesitate to give you a welcome loyalty discount. Excellent and abundant breakfast with fresh pastries and artisanal sweets, fruit and yogurt, daily towel change, possibility to hang out in the inner courtyard of the facility.

Highly recommended! A stone's throw from the port and the center of Palau, clean, very kind managers. Super abundant breakfast, different every day, with local products. Highly recommended!

Great location, very nice and clean rooms, quiet. Excellent welcome, daily room cleaning with linen change. The Bed and Breakfast is located in a central area, just a few meters from the main street where you can easily find supermarkets, small shops for souvenirs, ice cream parlors, and bars. Despite its strategic location, the area is very quiet even at night. In 5 minutes on foot, you can reach the harbor area, full of bars and restaurants. The owners of Le Coccinelle also have a great restaurant, Sa Pinta. Mrs. Pina is always very helpful, kind, and easily reachable. The breakfast is abundant and varied, the cleanliness of the premises is good, and the cleaning lady is an angel. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

Spacious and clean room, varied and abundant breakfast. For us, who were moving around with public transport, the location of Le Coccinelle was excellent, right in the center but in a quiet and not noisy area. Mrs. Pina always available for every need. Excellent value for money, I recommend it.

Optimal location to freely visit the Gulf of La Maddalena with its fantastic beaches and coves, including the island of Caprera. Cozy, spotless room with everything you need available. The manager was welcoming and attentive to needs. Highly recommended.

My family and I had a great time! Structure close to the center with parking available in the inner courtyard. Welcoming and clean, the owner and the cleaning lady are kind and helpful. Abundant and varied breakfast.

Great location, the room is quite large, well furnished, clean and air-conditioned. The whole structure is very nice and clean and a stone's throw from the port, we had a great time. The breakfast is also good. Mrs. Pina, who also manages a very good restaurant pizzeria at the entrance of Palau (Sa Pinta), is very kind and welcoming.

This property has a delightful appearance, clean and tidy. It is practically in the center: close to the port, close to the main street, and close to restaurants. The landlady is very kind, helpful, and also owns a restaurant a few steps away that is simply excellent. The property is clean, the breakfast is plentiful, you have the opportunity to make yourself a good coffee whenever you want because the kitchen is always open. Definitely, if I have to return to Palau, I would opt for this B&B again.

We were not able to stay there due to a misunderstanding via email (and by phone) as the owners confused us with another group of clients (not very professional already). This could have been excusable if it weren't for the deplorable attitude of the owners. We were greeted by the cleaning lady who settled us in our presumed room with 3 beds. As it seemed strange to her since we were only 2, she called the owner who confirmed to her that it was indeed our room. So we left for the whole day and upon our return, we were greeted by the furious owner who, without seeking the reason, ordered us to leave saying it was unacceptable, as if we hadn't booked (as if we were going to settle quietly in a B&B room without booking). I showed her the emails we had exchanged and she said I was right. Her tone then softened, she offered us to be hosted by a couple of her friends living in front who fortunately had a free room. Feeling attacked while not at fault, the tone rose a bit and the owner suddenly offered to offer me the 3 nights we were supposed to spend at her place, in a "commercial" gesture. I accepted and we spent 3 pleasant days in the B&B in front that was supposed to have agreed with the owners of Le Coccinelle on the financial arrangement. On the last day, I received a call from the husband of the owner of Le Coccinelle who, in a very friendly tone, proposed to meet to explain the misunderstanding. Suspicious, I still accepted and at our meeting, the owner, no longer friendly at all, shouted at me again and told me (I quote) that I was a "crafty" and that he would call the police (perhaps he thought he could intimidate us since we are a couple of "youngsters"). I explained to him the agreement we had decided with his wife but evidently he did not like it at all. It was only when I told him that we had the money to pay originally and that we were not thieves that he calmed down and recognized that the error was largely his. That said, he made us pay for 2 nights out of 3 in the end. If I post this comment it is simply to report my indignation about the aggressive and sneaky attitude of the two owners of Le Coccinelle who did not at all try to understand the misunderstanding or to calmly find a solution, which would have been much more humane and professional. This is in stark contrast to the attitudes we have encountered in all the other B&Bs we have visited and we were very disappointed.

B&B very well located in Palau.\n\nClean rooms, with air conditioning that worked perfectly and a small fridge to keep food fresh. The wifi had a very good signal.\n\nBreakfast poor in terms of quality (industrial pastries and toast). They were not fresh products.\n\nThe owner very kind and helpful.

Well-managed structure by Mrs. Pina always available and welcoming. In the vicinity there is also an excellent restaurant managed by the same owner of the B&B.

Excellent location with exceptional cleanliness! Courtesy and a lot of freedom of movement as if at home. Rich and varied breakfast. What we liked most is the possibility of doing everything on our own. In two days we did not have the opportunity to delve into how the B&B lady manages changes of sheets and towels, but the smell of both and the order really suggest a lot of care. Location 500 meters from the center of Palau in a quiet avenue with ample parking.

Great B&B, very central close to the port to reach La Maddalena and its wonderful beaches as well as those of Palau! Excellent breakfast with warm brioches and Sardinian sweets! Perfect cleanliness, sheets and towels changed every 2 days! Highly recommended!

On arrival, we were left outside for about 20 minutes even though we had called from the airport to notify; we didn't get any tips on how to move around or what to see, also because we didn't see the manager until the day of departure - after trying in vain to contact him since the previous day. The breakfast was terrible, discount snacks and stale toast, in fact, after the first day we always had it at the bar. Finally, we had to pay the balance in cash and, after asking for it, we received a receipt that I don't know how much it's worth for tax purposes. It is true that we knew this last thing from the beginning, but we didn't find anything else. Experience not to be repeated.

We had a great time, Thanks to Mrs. Pina. The place is very close to the center, which can be reached on foot. Excellent cleaning and breakfast. Quiet and welcoming. We plan to return. Thank you.

Very quiet place just a stone's throw from the village, the owner is very helpful and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and always fragrant, free WiFi and self-service breakfast.
