Description

"Il Giardino degli Iris" is a family-run B&B and it's located in a quiet street, 10 minutes away from both the historic centre and the seaside. Free parking is available right in front of the structure.

Nearby our B&B you can find a supermarket, a tobacconist's, a newspaper box, a post office and many bus stops.

The B&B rooms are on the ground floor of a triplex; all of the 4 rooms have private modern ensuite bathrooms, air conditioned, flatscreen televisions and free internet Wi-Fi connection (you need your own laptop though!). A nice breakfast lounge room leads to a beautiful little backyard. Post ck-out service, on request!

The city, with its breathtaking landscapes and fascinating historical center, restaurants, bars and shops, as well as all the other places in the north west cost, is always worth a visit.

If yoùd like to plan a trip to Alghero, Blue Iris is a perfect choice!

Our pride lies in the continental breakfast (sweet and savory), which we personally serve and take care of.

The Garden of Iris is that peaceful refuge where, as a child, I would spend my days carefree in the company of my grandparents. I want to convey those moments and sensations to the guests who will stay in this splendid, naturally cool structure in the summer, with ceilings over three meters high that make it a regenerating sanctuary on hot days!
Our structure is located in the Sant'Agostino district, named after the ancient countryside church located about 50 meters from the B&B. Among the neighborhoods of Alghero, it is the most populous and rich in traditions. Its origins date back to the middle of the last century when the inhabitants of the old historic center left the old, unhealthy and tiny houses to move to the new Sant'Agostino neighborhood. To this day, it is the only neighborhood where the majority of its inhabitants speak "Catalan". In fact, what better occasion to hear the "chatter" of the housewives while they are busy shopping at the fruit and vegetable market, which takes place on Thursdays.

We are located in the neighborhood of Sant'Agostino, on a quiet street where essential services for guests such as supermarkets, post office, and bus stops to the beaches can be easily reached.

In fact, our neighborhood is undeniably the only one where a very high percentage of residents speak "Catalan."

It is enjoyable on Thursdays to wander through the stalls of the market where agricultural producers sell the fruit of their labor, and it is equally pleasant to listen to the conversation of the ladies who, with their Algherese dialect, continue to chat away without hesitation.

Good structure about 20 minutes walk from the center. Kind owners. Our room was well furnished and functional. Abundant breakfast with food choice made the day before.

I stayed for a week at the Giardino degli Iris with my boyfriend. The B&B consists of a few rooms, there is a common area where you can drink tea and an outdoor space where breakfast is offered. The breakfast is very varied and plentiful, offering both savory and sweet options. The room was very comfortable and clean. Equipped with air conditioning, a fan, and a drying rack (the latter in an outdoor space). The service was excellent, the hosts are really friendly and helpful. On the mornings when we couldn't have breakfast, they provided us with a breakfast box to ensure we didn't miss the opportunity to have the breakfast offered by the establishment. The B&B is in a very convenient location: very close to the center, 10 minutes on foot. Also very convenient for parking the car. We never had any trouble finding a spot. We will definitely return the next time we are in Alghero!

I recommend this property in particular for the attention that the owner puts into making guests feel comfortable by trying to understand all their needs. Rooms are simple but always very clean and with every necessary comfort. Excellent breakfast (I would also recommend a homemade dessert). Not far from the center (but for a longer stay, it's better to use a motorcycle/bike). Giuseppe is extremely helpful in suggesting the right place based on the needs of the various guests.

Structure about 15 minutes walk from the historic center, easy parking in the area in mid-July, small but very clean room and quite economical (but they have two much larger ones), breakfast to be requested every evening by filling out a form, to be consumed in a small but lovely tree-lined courtyard. Correct and professional managers.

We stayed at the B&B of Il Giardino degli Iris for 10 days and we had a great time. She and her dad are two exceptional and helpful people. They gave us a lot of useful information and advice, were always available for any of our needs, and never let us miss anything. We felt at home. Impeccable cleanliness, delicious breakfast, very comfortable and beautiful rooms, perfect location to reach the city center and the sea. Iris was more than perfect. Giving her a 10 is even an understatement. I recommend her to everyone because it's rare to find such a warm and helpful person for anything and especially attentive to the needs of her customers. Thank you again and we hope to come back soon.

Simple and clean rooms, our 'Paris' room was for 4 people, had a small balcony and a great bathroom. The highlight is the lovely breakfast in the courtyard and the always friendly owners, always open for a chat and a tip. The B&B is centrally located, a 10-minute walk to the historic city center. I can only warmly recommend this accommodation.

The structure is located in a great position, a ten-minute walk from the historic center. The place is very nice, clean, and welcoming, and the room we stayed in (Paris) is well-equipped and spacious. We were very happy with the breakfast, which unlike other places we've stayed, offers a good selection. Finally, the staff is exquisite! Attentive to customer needs and very friendly. We will definitely come back.

The structure is very pleasant, located in a quiet area and served by a supermarket, newsstand, pharmacy, bakery, etc. The owners, Mr. Giuseppe and his sons, are very kind and generous with advice on how to reach the most beautiful beaches, where to eat, and places to visit, respecting the guest's privacy. The room (Paris) and the bathroom are very spacious and equipped with every comfort, the cleanliness is impeccable! Highly recommended.
