The Guest House “Il Sorriso” is situated on the enchanted island of La Maddalena. The scent of sea, the warmth of the sun, a gentle north-west breeze, and a welcoming smile are sure to be experienced by all its guests.

Guest House Il Sorriso is the perfect place to enjoy La Maddalena in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

Located just 9 minutes’ walk from the tourist harbor and the historic center, it is set in a quiet residential area close to restaurants, shops, and all essential services.

A self-service BREAKFAST is included, with a coffee machine, packaged pastries and snacks. As a welcome gift upon arrival, you will find water (and cheese) in the mini fridge.

The guest house offers bright, air-conditioned rooms, some with a beautiful sea view or a private balcony. Bathrooms are available for exclusive use and fully equipped.

Ideally located to explore the crystal-clear beaches of La Maddalena and the unspoiled nature of Caprera, Il Sorriso is the perfect base for both leisure and business stays.

3rd floor, no elevator – the sea view at the top is well worth it.

Bed linen is changed every 7 days and upon each guest change.

Towels are changed every 3 days and upon each guest change.

What can I say, nothing negative. Exceptional view. Breakfast fit for a god. Kindness with a smile from ear to ear. Mrs. Maria, a great woman, hospitable, courteous and so much more. Very clean rooms and an amazing view from the large terrace. The location was good - just a few minutes from the harbour and the centre. The breakfast wasn’t exactly what we expected, especially compared to the other positive reviews. The portions were small and you have to select each individual item. We would have preferred a breakfast set on the table so you could take what you wanted. Maria and her sister are very sweet and polite, but their presence and strict rules can be a bit overbearing.

La mia presenza è rilevata solo al momento delle colazioni, 08: 10/ 09: 15 e nel momento delle pulizie quotidiane, dalle 10: 30 alle 11: 20. Nell'arco delle 24h vi sembra opprimente la mia presenza? Sono solo io che gestisco l'attività dell' "Affittacamere Il Sorriso". Mia sorella è presente solo al momento del check-in per aiutarmi a tradurre in inglese le informazioni turistiche utili per voi ospiti, solo 15/20 minuti e poi non la vedete più. Vi sembra eccessivo? Le regole della casa sono più o meno uguali in tutte le strutture e se esistono, le regole hanno una precisa funzione. Come è descritto in tutti i siti, non prepariamo un buffet, non siamo un Hotel, non siamo una Casa Vacanza e non offriamo un pranzo. Quello che servo per la prima colazione potete vederlo specificato nella descrizione del sito, settore colazioni. E' impossibile accontentare le aspettative di ogni persona, come potete ben immaginare. L'unico aiuto che potete dare alle vostre esigenze non è solo leggere le recensioni ma leggere attentamente la descrizione e la caratteristica della struttura in cui si vuole alloggiare. Una volta prenotata avete approvato automaticamente ogni aspetto della struttura. We felt very comfortable at Maria's. Everything was very cozy, tidy, and clean. The view from the terrace over the sea was very beautiful. The breakfast served by Maria was exceptionally varied and good, even with homemade cakes! Maria gives good tips for exploring La Maddalena and Caprera and is very friendly and accommodating. A truly wonderful stay in La Maddalena! We had an amazing experience at this charming B&B, and we can’t recommend it enough. What truly made our stay special was Signora Maria — she is incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile! Also, the cakes she prepares for breakfast are simply delicious! The location is perfect for exploring La Maddalena, and Maria provided us with all the information we needed to make the most of our time on the island. The view from the balcony is breathtaking — a perfect spot to relax after a day of adventures. We felt at home from the moment we arrived and will definitely return. We were impressed by the care and attention that the manager had towards us guests and the property. B&B Il Sorriso is a really well-kept place, close to the center and with breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea with direct access from the room. We had a great time.

We were three in two rooms with a shared bathroom. A third room with a separate bathroom was occupied by a friendly other couple. The accommodation is extremely clean and practically equipped, the view is great and the center is within walking distance in a few minutes. Maria is a very friendly, punctual, and competent host. Breakfast was served very kindly by her and was always very tasty. During the day, Maria kept the entire property in top condition. We had a very nice time here and would love to come back!

We spent 5 nights at B&B Il Sorriso and fully enjoyed our stay. Maria is such a friendly and helpful host. We are so glad that she helped us a lot when our little 8-month-old daughter was ill. The rooms are all very clean, you can clearly tell that Maria places great importance on hygiene. Our room was lovely and the view from the terrace is simply amazing. Breakfast is served by Maria on the terrace, she always offers you some choices of what you want to eat. Also, the B&B is very well located for exploring the island(s). All in all, the price/value for money is just great. We can only recommend everyone to stay at B&B Il Sorriso.

The view from the terrace is very beautiful and it is relaxing to have breakfast there. Too bad that if it rains everything gets wet despite the cover. The value for money is good. The only thing I didn't like is the continuous control of what is used and the costs: the request to pay everything days in advance is inappropriate because before paying the balance I want to be sure that the accommodation is ok and if you put a hot-cold air conditioner in the bathroom I want to be able to use it as I like, otherwise don't put it!

B&B Il Sorriso HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, more than a week after this wonderful holiday I still thank Mrs. Maria for hosting us, I have 5 good reasons to recommend coming to this B&B. I start with the excellent breakfast on the terrace, with a dream panoramic view, top location a 15-minute walk from the center, the room cleanliness is perfect, all the spaces are well maintained and furnished with taste, style and simplicity, the hostess Maria is a wonderful lady, you will notice it immediately during your stay. We stayed at B&B Il Sorriso from the 9th to the 16th of August. The structure is located 10 minutes walk from the center, nearby there are supermarkets, pizzerias, and various shops. Our room is beautiful and spacious, just like in the photos, equipped with a refrigerator. The bathroom is not in the room but just outside the door, a screen has been placed that guarantees privacy. The cleanliness is excellent, attention to detail makes the difference. The balcony is huge, offering a breathtaking view where you can also eat since there is a microwave in the common area. Maria is a perfect host, kind and helpful, present but not intrusive, providing valuable advice. Patience is required to climb three flights of stairs... you will be rewarded with an enchanting view.

B&B Il Sorriso is very clean and well taken care of in every detail. Our rooms overlooked a huge and spectacular terrace, with a sea view. They are tastefully furnished, very spacious, perfect bathrooms, equipped with everything necessary, even real hairdryers and not the usual meager "nozzles" with little hot air from hotels. There is great attention to cleanliness by the owner, very helpful in giving directions and advice on visiting the area. Excellent and abundant breakfast, with homemade cakes and pastries, served on the magnificent terrace. Perfect location, just a few steps from the center.

Helpful and kind owner, but her excessive attention to cleanliness and house rules cause some inconvenience and lack of privacy, as she is very present on the property. The breakfast management needs to be reviewed as it is only scheduled in a 1-hour slot and decided by the first guest to arrive. The city center is a 15-minute walk away, while convenient to the bus stop.

All I have to say is, simply amazing! We had a perfect stay and a wonderful time in La Maddalena with such welcoming hosts. They gave us great advice about sightseeing. Our room was so clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the various breakfast on the balcony while having a great view over the city. We would definitely recommend it.

Hosts were really nice, helpful and open. Everything was great and clean. Various and delicious breakfast, and perfect cappuccino on terrace with view on the sea. We really enjoyed our stay there and for sure we will come back.

Location close to the center but in a quiet area, terrace with a wonderful view of Caprera and two delightful hosts made our stay even more enjoyable. The room is spacious and equipped, with a private bathroom and direct access to the terrace, where a plentiful breakfast is served. Ladies Maria and Mafalda were very kind and helpful, also giving advice on what to visit and where to eat. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the property around June 2nd for work and leisure. The family management, the availability, and the attention of the ladies who take care of it are the highlight of this B&B; complementing it all are the very charming rooms equipped with a fridge, TV, WiFi, and access to the panoramic terrace available to guests for breakfast or a glass of wine under the moonlight. There is also a common area where you can find informational material about the island, board games, and tableware in case you want to use the small refreshment area to prepare a snack. We were pampered from arrival to departure, on the next return to the island we will definitely call Mrs. Maria.

I have been to B&B Il Sorriso for the second time and I am thrilled. Here you can enjoy your holidays. Maria and Mafalda are very charming and caring hosts, who also provide valuable tips on beaches, restaurants, etc. The premises are very clean, the rooms spacious, bright, beautiful and thoughtfully furnished. The B&B is about a 10-minute walk from the center, which has the advantage of finding parking spaces right in front of the door and not having any noise. The breakfast is very varied, with cheese, cold cuts, homemade cakes, fruits, yogurt, etc. My next vacation in Maddalena will lead me back to Il Sorriso.

Non abbiamo il bagno in camera ma adiacente alla camera e sempre ad uso privato. Questo è scritto chiaramente nei dettagli del B&B all'interno di questo sito. Se ben ricorda, lei ha soggiornato in una camera doppia ad uso singola e le è stato assegnato il bagno ad uso privato, quindi esclusivamente per lei. Maria and Mafalda are very attentive hosts. The B&B is spotlessly clean and the views from the terrace are beautiful. The location of the B&B is actually perfect, as it is just a 10 min walk from the main area of town where you will want to eat out, and just 2 mins from the bus stop to the beaches. It's in a lovely quiet spot just on the edge of the historic town, so though the building is more modern, the area is surrounded by older buildings and a relaxing walk into the town. It is not on a steep hill, just a very gentle one, which is ideal. Maria and Mafalda are very knowledgeable and will give you detailed info on which beaches are best depending on where the wind is blowing each day. We had a most sheltered day at Spalmatore on what was otherwise a windy day. Maria bakes great cakes for breakfast, super light and fluffy - and one day even tiramisu. Mafalda has great English and Maria speaks French. We had a double room onto the terrace. I would also mention that though people have said cars are beneficial the bus is very cheap and convenient and gives you access to most of the beaches. If you can afford it I would say it would be more beneficial to hire a little boat for a day or so rather than a car. Highly recommend, thanks to both hosts.

The B&B Il Sorriso is a beautiful place. Maria and Mafalda are two excellent hostesses who anticipate your wishes. The rooms and the bathroom are super clean and are cleaned daily. The terrace with a splendid sea view invites you to a hearty breakfast. The car can park for free at the B&B and the walk to the old town and the port is reachable in a few minutes. We will definitely recommend Il Sorriso, by the way also La Maddalena.

My mom and I stayed in B&B Il Sorriso for 3 nights. We had a very pleasant stay! The owners are very kind and helpful. They made fresh breakfast for us at a time of our preferences, everything was very clean and good looking. The bedroom is bright and very light thanks to the big window doors to the beautiful terrace, it has good and nice furniture and looks very cozy. The bathroom was also perfect. The center is a 5 minute, pleasant walk, you can park for free in front of the B&B and the location is therefore good. We can really advise this B&B, there is nothing negative to tell about it.
