A few steps from the structure it will be possible to find monuments and places of interest to satisfy your desire for knowledge, sports centers and gyms to keep fit. My name is Elia, i manage my extra accommodation facility in the center of Alghero.
My great-grandmother Francesca already welcomed travelers from far away into her home, the overnight stays at that time used to last several weeks but even months, so our dear grandmother being a good hostess offered them a comfortable room and besides breakfast he shared with the various travelers both lunch and dinner with the whole family.
The unaware grandmother did not know that she was one of the pioneers of the launch of tourism in Alghero.
In 2004 mother Franca opened the doors of our house, following the tradition of Nonna Francesca, thus starting a project to welcome travelers to the family who came to discover our city Alghero.
The Big Fish, as the bed and breakfast was called, was one of the very first b & bs here in Alghero.
Thanks to our parents We grew up with the genuineness of sharing and conviviality with anyone who chose our home as a place of accommodation.
Our father Stefano as a good fisherman and an excellent home cook, every day prepared dishes based on fresh fish, and all together sitting around the large round table we exchanged various anecdotes of life and at the same time we enjoyed the excellent gastronomic preparations of father Stefano.
The guests who have lived the Big Fish since its inception have remained loyal over the years, thus cultivating a beautiful relationship of friendship up to the present day.
Over the years the Big Fish has had to adapt to the rules that regulate the b & b.
I share a passion for hospitality and the discovery of new services to offer to my guests.
Always available for any need of my dear guests, because my hospitality goes beyond a simple "room for rent".
I have in my list many services and a lot of availability in dispensing advice on what to visit here in my city of Alghero and surroundings.

The location of the property is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the center of Alghero and the sea. Easily accessible by car and with free parking near the building. We had a wonderful time! The accommodation is very comfortable and very close to the center. Elia was always present and available, showing that he really cares about his guests, he is a fantastic host! Special mention because my friend thought she had lost her sunglasses, but thanks to the lady who came to clean and Elia, we found them just before we left. Super stay!

All in all we had a nice experience at the Big Fish. Location is a couple of minutes away from the old town where most of the restaurants are situated. Also close to bus stations. The only thing we missed were some cutlery and bowls maybe given the fact that there was a small kitchen. But for shorter stays I don't think it is really necessary. Also it would be good to inform non-Italian customers regarding the timetable of the garbage collection so that they know when to put the plastic/cardboard out. Instructions from the host were very clear regarding the check-in and everything went smooth. Thank you!

Simple and clean room. Comfortable bed. It's a pity that we didn't find the shower gel in the bathroom, there was only hand soap. From the list of amenities available online, we had read "samples, soaps, etc.". Otherwise, perfect and affordable solution for a night in Alghero. The apartment is not in the city center, but it's easily reachable on foot in 10 minutes.

Simple, clean, and comfortable room. 10-minute walk to the center and the bus stop for the airport and the beaches. Self-check-in is simple and useful for those who, like me, arrive late at night (many other places had check-in by 8 pm!). The host is very attentive and helpful! I can highly recommend Big Fish Guesthouse Alghero Centro! The property was in a great location - about a 10-minute walk from the bus from the airport and a 10-minute walk to the Centro Storico. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, with many amenities nearby. The check-in process was fairly smooth - I had a bit of trouble with accessing the room (my fault!) but Elia was incredibly quick to respond and provided all the help I needed. They then proceeded to recommend some restaurants and things to do in the area. I was very impressed with what a wonderful host they were. The room was incredibly clean, had everything I needed and was very comfortable. I had an excellent sleep! Overall, I highly recommend booking your stay at Big Fish!

I had a perfect week at Big Fish Guesthouse Alghero Centro, very relaxing, it is a quiet place with a good breakfast. Ylena, the host, is very caring and I felt very safe and comfortable. She has changed the towels quite often and gave good recommendations (for the surrounding beach areas). She even borrowed her private umbrella to me, very nice. I would absolutely recommend this place.

We are a couple. We had a great time and if we were to go back to Alghero we would opt for the same structure.

Tranquility, good location, in 10 minutes on foot you reach the center. Excellent cleanliness, kindness and availability of Mrs. Franca. Excellent value for money, rich breakfast with everything, from fruit to yogurt. I will return.

A nice place, clean, excellent breakfast. If you arrive by car, there is plenty of parking; excellent value for money, 10 minutes walk from the center and the main streets of the port.
