Description

Al Dio Bes is a B&B inside a 1939 building located in the historic district of Stampace and overlooks an ancient Roman Villa called Villa di Tigellio. Despite being in the historic center it enjoys ample brightness as it has no buildings in front, it is logistically well positioned because it is close to the most important tourist attractions of the city, amphitheatre, botanical garden, Castle, Bastion of San Remy etc., as well as next to the university center of city ??and a stone's throw from the street that brings together the city's bars and restaurants.

Every morning, breakfast at Al Dio Bes serves as a welcoming ritual to Sardinia, enjoyed in the heart of the Stampace district, just steps away from the Roman Villa of Tigellio.

The buffet features fresh seasonal fruit, yogurt, and cereals for a light start to the day, alongside homemade cakes and tarts with wholesome flavors. Traditional Sardinian pastries are also included, offering an authentic taste of the region right from the morning. Rounding out the selection are toasted sandwiches and *tramezzini* (soft triangular sandwiches) for those who prefer a savory start.

It is a breakfast designed to suit diverse tastes—one to be savored at a leisurely pace before setting out to explore the city.

I’m Gabriele.

My journey in the world of hospitality and tourism grew out of a passion that eventually evolved into a tangible project: Al Dio Bes. Before reaching this point, I gained diverse experience in the industry, learning what it truly means to care for travelers—paying attention to detail, listening to each guest's needs, and finding joy in making people feel at home, even when they are far away.

This journey inspired me to create something of my own: a small, thoughtfully curated property where I could put into practice—day after day—everything I’ve learned about authentic hospitality, defined by good taste and simplicity.

I welcome you to Al Dio Bes, my personal corner of hospitality in the heart of Stampace, one of Cagliari’s most authentic historic districts. We are located in a quiet, well-maintained building dating back to 1939, right across from the Roman Villa of Tigellio. I love welcoming every guest personally and preparing breakfast with care each morning, pouring all the experience and passion I’ve gathered along the way into this daily ritual.

The Stampace district is one of Cagliari’s oldest and liveliest neighborhoods. It is distinguished not only by major Roman-era monuments—such as the Villa di Tigellio and the amphitheater—but also by numerous churches, including the one that serves as the starting point for the procession honoring Saint Efisio, the centerpiece of a festival held every May 1st for the past 369 years. Over the last two decades, the district has transformed, becoming home to the Teatro Massimo—which hosts a theater season alongside musical events ranging from jazz to folk music—as well as art-house cinemas. The city's best restaurants and bars are concentrated along its main street, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, making it an ideal area to spend the evening, from aperitivo hour through to after-dinner drinks.

Beautiful bed and breakfast, finely renovated, furnished with care and very clean, equipped with everything needed. It is in an excellent location, a few steps from the station and the historic centre, in a quiet and peaceful area. Gabriele is a perfect host, very kind, helpful and respectful. He pampers his guests with a wonderful and abundant breakfast featuring excellent homemade pastries, fruit and other items. Absolutely recommended!

The rooms are bright, clean and well-designed. The location is excellent. It is close to the train station, supermarket, restaurants and cafés. Gabriele is a fantastic host. He is welcoming, kind and attentive. The breakfast is delightful. Everything was thoughtfully prepared. I highly recommend Al Dio Bes.

I had a truly enjoyable stay at Al Dio Bes during my trip to Cagliari. The room was spacious, cozy, very clean, and perfectly quiet, with a comfortable bed and pillow that made it easy to rest after long days. It was also equipped with air conditioning and provided bathroom amenities, which made the stay even more comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight, with excellent coffee, a good selection of teas, and a varied offering that included homemade items, local products, and delicious Sardinian pastries. The location was ideal, very close to the old town, just a short walk from the train station, and conveniently near the venue where I attended a conference. This made it easy to explore the city and get around without any trouble. Gabriele was an outstanding host. Beyond being very friendly and welcoming, he was always ready to help, offering advice on local food, unique items to try, and places worth visiting. His suggestions added a lot of value to my experience in Cagliari. If I return to Cagliari, without any doubt I would stay here again. I highly recommend both the city and Gabriele's wonderful B&B to anyone visiting.

Very kind and helpful manager. Excellent location in the heart of Cagliari, well served by public transport, excellent services. Very high quality-price ratio. Excellent puluzua.
