Description
Nestled in the countryside of Ogliastra, at the foothills of the Gennargentu massif, Agriturismo I Mandorli originates from the restoration of old farmhouses dating back to the late 19th century, refurbished with respect for traditional Sardinian rural architecture. The spaces retain the charm of tradition and blend harmoniously into a landscape filled with olive groves, almond trees, granite rocks, and the scents of Mediterranean scrubland.

The rooms, cozy and well-maintained, are equipped with air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, a minibar, hairdryer, and private outdoor areas featuring flowered verandas and panoramic terraces that offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Guests also have access to a scenic swimming pool nestled in greenery, free parking, and a multifunctional room designed for small gatherings or quiet reading moments. It is the perfect place for those seeking an authentic stay, embracing tranquility, nature, and the warm hospitality typical of Sardinia.

Breakfast
The day begins with a plentiful and diverse breakfast, served either in the restaurant's veranda or in the charming outdoor square during the pleasant season. The buffet features a variety of sweet and savory items, including cakes, jams, honey, fruit juices, milk, bread, cold cuts, cheeses, and eggs, providing a wake-up experience full of quality and local flavors.
Home Restaurant
The restaurant, exclusively reserved for the guests of the establishment and accessible by reservation only, offers a fixed menu daily inspired by seasonal ingredients and products from the farm. The dishes follow traditional Ogliastra recipes, highlighting fresh raw materials and ingredients grown in the garden or sourced from the farm’s own livestock.

The gastronomic experience includes a first course, a main course with a side dish, water, a quarter bottle of wine, and coffee, providing an authentic Sardinian culinary journey. Featured specialties include the famous culurgiones, roasted suckling pig, typical local meats, farm-produced cheeses, extra virgin olive oil from centuries-old olive trees, Cannonau wine from the region, and artisanal liquors such as myrtle and limoncello. For organizational reasons, meals tailored for guests with allergies or food intolerances may not always be available.

The farm holds a rich history connected to the land, revived in 1994 by Susanna Cocco and her family. With great passion, they restored the old estate, continuing the cultivation of almond and olive trees while also raising sheep and pigs, all in full respect of local traditions.

The hospitality is warm and authentic: guests are guided to explore the flavors, rhythms, and customs of Ogliastra, experiencing a journey rooted in the deep bond between the family, the land, and its produce.

Area countryside
The agritourism is located in the municipality of Triei, in a prime spot between the crystal-clear sea of Ogliastra and the mountains of Gennargentu. Within a few minutes, you can reach some of the most stunning beaches on Sardinia’s eastern coast, such as Is Orrosas, Iscrixedda, and Cea, which is renowned for its distinctive red porphyry sea stacks. From here, excursions also depart to Cala Goloritzé and other coves of the Gulf of Orosei, which can be accessed by boat as well.

Hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts can explore the Supramonte, the Gorroppu Canyon, the Golgo Plateau, and the Gennargentu Park, while archaeology lovers will find significant remnants of the Nuragic civilization nearby, including Nuraghi, Domus de Janas, and Giants’ Tombs. The location offers an opportunity to experience an authentic Sardinia, characterized by unspoiled landscapes, ancient traditions, and charming villages, making it an excellent base for both relaxation and exploring the area.
