Description

In this historic house, summer residence of General Giovanni Durando, our Customers will find a warm ambience full of history and the perfect place to spend their stay in total safety, with the surrounding area offering lots to discover. There are six Classic Rooms. Also there are two splendid appartments. One appartment with a lobby, a living room and a complete Kitchen, a bathroom with washing machine, a double room, plus two rooms with lofts and balconies that open to a wonderful view of the historic side of Mondovì. The second appartment with a lobby, living room, complete kitchen and a bathroom with a washing machine, alongside a double room and one room with two separete beds; in the lobby there is a sofa bed for two. The building features a breakfast room, with typical Piedmont products, and a games room complete with TV where it's possible to enjoy renowned Piedmont wines. It also has a gym with a Turkish bath and showers. Free WIFI is also available.

This structure is the outcome of 15 years of work by the manager Giaccone Angelo, who, with his passion for history and historic houses, sought to revive this villa, which was in a sorry state. Coming from a completely different sector (management of shipyard production), he tried to bring all his experience to light all the internal and external beauties of this ancient residence, making every room as welcoming and warm as possible. After these 15 years of sacrifices, finally in July 2016, the Giaccone family decided to embark on this new path, aiming to make their guests' stay as enjoyable as possible.

Excellent structure restored excellently. Interesting the history of the building and of those who have lived there over time. The rooms are large and tastefully furnished, completing everything a large bathroom with a big shower. Excellent international style breakfast with homemade cakes and excellent cheeses. All this is enclosed in the smile and exquisite kindness of the owner of the structure, who with his sympathy and education gives you his love for the history of the building and transmits the joy in doing his job. Structure that I recommend very gladly, even just for a weekend.

Very good stay in a quiet area with splendid landscapes. A rich breakfast of great finesse prepared in the morning, cakes, donuts, omelette, fresh fruit pies, refined cheeses..Attention to note: the pool is paid.

Siamo stati due notti a Villa Durando, con due bambini di 9 e 4 anni. Ambiente molto accogliente, villa storica recuperata divinamente dal signor Angelo. Gran cura dei dettagli, che ti fanno rivivere le epoche passate, peraltro senza privarsi dei comfort moderni. Rapporto prezzo qualità ottimo, così come l'accoglienza e il servizio forniti dal signor Angelo e da sua moglie. Colazione ricca e varia di ottimi prodotti fatti in casa. Grande disponibilità' e pazienza con i bambini.

Grazie della bella accoglienza, nonostante il breve soggiorno è stato piacevole svegliarsi nella natura e avere a pochi minuti di auto il centro di Mondovì, colazione abbondante e genuina.

Accoglienza ottima, location fantastica immersa tra le colline piemontesi; la struttura storica rende la permanenza affascinante e molto elegante, le stanze sono calde e accoglienti e soprattutto pulitissime, molto curate dal punto di vista estetico e offrono una vista mozzafiato del fantastico paesaggio esterno. Il servizio è ottimo, i proprietari sono simpaticissimi e disponibili a qualsivoglia richiesta offrendo anche consigli su luoghi caratteristici della zona che non si possono non visitare, inoltre offrono una colazione interamente preparata da loro molto abbondante sia salata che dolce per soddisfare le necessità di tutti i commensali. Io personalmente mi son sentito a casa, ho potuto fare anche attività fisica (che per me è fondamentale) grazie alla palestrina offerta ai clienti e sicuramente ritornerò presto per pernottare nuovamente qui e andare a sciare.
