The Monviso mountain (3841 mt. on sea level, the highest of Piedmont), and the Po river (the longest of Italy) are symbols of the valley. They create a suggestive mountain context. In this atmosphere you can find a modern and essential structure perfectly adapted to the alpin landscape.
LA VIA DEL SALE is managed from RIFUGIO VESULUS, Naturalistic Association of guides. We’ll give you the opportunity to discover wildlife corners. The inn is located in the Po Natural Park. From the balcony you can see the Mombracco mountain, historic and prehistoric site.

I needed an economic solution with few frills and I found what I was looking for in Dario's hiking refuge. The single room was more than enough and at the price paid it seemed really economical to me. Very pleasant the stream flowing right outside the bathroom window. Definitely a highly recommended place for those who want to experience the mountain to the fullest without too many frills.

The structure is very intimate, it's not on the road so there's peace. What struck me the most, besides the hospitality, was Dario's deep culture and knowledge of the territory, the manager. The cost is low for what they offer, breakfast is not abundant but for what it costs it's also too much.

Great place to visit both the cities (Saluzzo) and the Po valley and the slopes of Monviso, must-see Balmas Boves with houses built under the faliere and Ostana, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

The place is beautiful, the managers very kind and helpful. Just to be picky, breakfast could have been richer (in quantity and variety), but it was absolutely in line with the price requested. We will definitely return at the first opportunity!

I only stayed for one night so I can express myself for what I saw and experienced for only a few hours. The place is magnificent and the structure is wonderful where you are welcomed with kindness and courtesy by exquisite people who immediately put you at ease. They deserve to be revisited and I recommend anyone to stay there.

The structure is welcoming, it feels like being at home. There is everything you need without losing the rustic spirit that has always accompanied the B&B's imaginary. The managers are friendly, helpful, and very nice. They recommend a nearby restaurant for dinner where you eat very well at a more than adequate price. I stayed there only one night because it was a support point for me, but it is a very suitable place for a few days of vacation. I hope to return soon!
