The bed and breakfast Lavanda e Rosmarino is the realization of a dream of Cinzia and Dario.

A place to welcome tourists and lead them to discover the beautiful areas of Lake Orta and its surroundings.

The bed and breakfast's new, located in Miasino near its Woods and 10 minutes from Orta San Giulio and the island of the same name.

On a hill, has a beautiful view of the Lake and the mountains; excellent starting point to visit the Lake of Mergozzo and Lake Maggiore and its islands.

Small B&B with only three rooms above Lake Orta. The access road is a bit tricky, but doable with time, even with a larger car. The green and blue rooms face the lake. For breakfast you are pampered by Dario and Cinzia at the lovely dining area, and Dario is happy to take care of restaurant reservations and other tips. The rooms are cleaned daily. On each terrace there are sun loungers with cushions and a parasol. The rooms are very nicely furnished. Soap, shower gel/shampoo and a hairdryer are available in the bathroom. The kitchen is also new and spacious. Of course not a 5-star hotel, but truly top for the price. Thank you for everything and arrivederci.

We had a very pleasant stay at Dario's place. It's a little house on the heights of Orta, a very peaceful place. The view from the room was stunning, and breakfast was always a great moment! We will return there without hesitation!

Excellent stay at this B&B: everything is perfect! The house and room are great and comfortable. The breakfast is wonderful: fresh fruit salad, fresh coffee, croissants, bread, etc. Dario is lovely, very caring and helpful. The terrace is great to enjoy the view on the lake at sunset. (Every room has its own sun-bench and table.) Thanks a lot Dario! We totally recommend.

The B&B Lavanda e Rosmarino is a true oasis of peace. We stayed in the circus artists' room, beautiful! The French door leads directly to the garden where there are sun loungers (towels provided by the owners) where one can relax while admiring a beautiful view of the lake! I believe the breakfast is the highlight of the establishment! Sweet and savory products from a local farm, super tasty! The owner is of unique kindness and friendliness! Always available and a source of valuable advice! We will definitely return!

A truly incredible place with a breathtaking view of Lake Orta. The room was bright and cozy, with direct access to a private terrace equipped with loungers - perfect for relaxing surrounded by a garden with magnolias, lavender, and rosemary. It is possible to access the kitchen at any time, and the attention to detail is truly remarkable: an incredible selection of teas, delicious breakfast with local cheeses and cold cuts, as well as excellent pastries. Very convenient parking available, ideal for those traveling by car. Dario is an extraordinary host - welcoming, creative, and always available. We received detailed instructions on how to reach the property and timely answers to all our questions. The sunset over the lake seen from there is a magical experience. A special place where we were very happy to stay. We heartily recommend it!

A place to absolutely keep, a warm and generous welcome. The hosts are very attentive, provide all the practical information, speak a little French and English, and the breakfasts are excellent. Located high up, the view is breathtaking over the lake. We had a very pleasant stay.

Very friendly welcome from Dario and his wife, both speak English and the lady also speaks French! The rooms are modern and well-equipped, all with a view of the garden overlooking the lake. Easy parking close to the rooms. The breakfast is mainly composed of local and hearty products. Impressive collection of teas and herbal teas for enthusiasts, it's great! Dario recommended a restaurant in the village and we did not regret it!

The Lavanda e Rosmarino B&B is truly a treat. Beautiful location just a few minutes from Orta from which you can see both the lake and the mountains, from the room you can admire the lake and a truly relaxing panorama. Not very easy to find but the directions provided by the owners are very clear. The rooms are bright and spacious, clean and well furnished and have access to the garden with sun loungers for each room. Large bathroom equipped with a hairdryer. The breakfast is abundant and includes quality local products, both sweet and savory, yogurt and juices from local producers, fresh fruit. An extra treat is the possibility to use a kitchen with coffee and tea and very inviting herbal teas. The owners are very helpful, kind and professional, ready to provide any kind of information requested and suggest itineraries and special places to visit. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

I spent a few days on holiday at the Lavanda e Rosmarino B&B, the structure is new, clean and welcoming. Each room overlooks the garden (great for dogs). Beautiful view of the lake and Mount Rosa. It is really difficult to ask for more from a bed & breakfast. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, it was truly a hit and run, but this little place really stayed in our hearts. The location is great: we are in Miasino, about 2 km above the village of Orta S. Giulio, in a privileged position given the splendid panorama with the lake, the hills, and Monte Rosa on clear days. Not difficult to find (also indicated by a sign about 100 meters before the right turn), pay attention to the entrance which is a bit delicate with large cars but manageable. Internal parking available. We were greeted by Dario, very nice and kind (we stayed in touch throughout the day because our arrival time underwent some changes due to commitments and traffic), who explained everything to us and showed us our room. The house is really beautiful, modern, welcoming, and clean. We stayed in the room of the little rascals, clean, equipped with all necessary comforts and with a decidedly large and very clean private bathroom. There is direct access to the garden, the position is such that in the evening it remains in the shade and you really breathe well. Like sleeping at home essentially (which is a compliment obviously). The breakfast.. well, splendid. Fresh bread, butter, and yogurt from local production, artisanal jams, cakes, juice, coffee and the like, presence of tea/herbal teas/infusions, a small savory part.. all served in the kitchen with a lake view from the window and enlivened by chats with Dario and Cinzia, whom we met in the morning. Very kind to let us use the room until around noon, to allow us to change for lunch before leaving. Excellent quality/price ratio, 60 euros and they accept debit/credit cards without problems. We really regret staying only 1 night, highly recommended place and thanks again to Cinzia and Dario for the welcome and hospitality.

We spent two very pleasant days at the Lavanda e Rosmarino B&B, everything perfectly matches the descriptions.\n\nWe greatly appreciated the house, with a view of the lake, and a garden with chairs and tables, accessible also from the rooms; the room, cozy and very clean, with a very comfortable bed; the breakfast, with excellent artisanal products, served in the kitchen with great flexibility in schedules.\n\nTo all this is added the kindness, the friendliness, and the deep sense of hospitality of the owners, Cinzia and Dario, who gave us valuable advice for visits and dinners. My boyfriend and I stayed at this property for only one night, but everything was perfect. The manager explained in detail how to reach the property, also providing some valuable tips on what to see and where to eat nearby. The property is very clean and extremely welcoming: everything from the furniture to the displayed books is carefully curated and makes guests feel at home. The room offers an absolutely stunning view of the lake and has everything needed to make the stay comfortable and perfect. We absolutely recommend it!

Cinzia and Dario started this B&B in 2015 after they closed their tea shop in Orta. So they know exactly how to serve their customers and how to make a B&B feel like home for their guests. The rooms are spacious and even with a child you have enough space. Every day your room is tidied up and cleaned. The real highlight is the breakfast. Honestly, I've never had a better breakfast in a B&B. Everything on the table is organic and locally produced. The coffee is exceptional, the fresh juice is amazing and Cinzia serves a cake you will never forget. Both are always there to help you or bring you tea or coffee. They are so kind and friendly and you truly feel what a great couple and team they are. Dario speaks English fluently and gives you excellent recommendations on where to go and what to see, as well as where to eat (e.g. La Genzianella, to be seen in a separate review). We went on day trips to Lake Mergozzo, the Borromean Islands, Monte Falo and of course Isola San Giulio. It's best to arrive by car, which you can park directly at the B&B. Otherwise, you have to walk a bit or take a taxi up the hill. We highly recommend this exceptional accommodation with a breathtaking view and wish you good luck in getting one of the 3 rooms. Our promise is that you won't want to leave.

Dario and Ciara were charming hosts who welcomed us into their home. The room (Camera Dei Monelli) was not big, but certainly big enough, although I do think that the mattress could be improved - we found ourselves rolling into the middle! The parking situation isn't great, especially with a big car, although Dario assured us that they were hoping to improve it this autumn (2018); however, when we had problems associated with this situation, Dario went out of his way to help us solve them, for which we were very grateful. Good recommendations from Ciara for restaurants & activities. If you want to visit Lake Maggiore, find out about the Maggiore Express. Breakfast was copious and delicious - especially the freshly squeezed fruit juice and home made cake. It was nice to share the table with the other guests and to have international discussions. The kitchen is available for guests' use during the day - interesting teas to sample, and more cake too! We hope to return sometime - possibly for the prog-rock festival, which we just missed out on!

Lovely property with extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Not right on the lake - a car is useful - but spectacular views, quiet and lovely setting. Delicious breakfasts and locally sourced ingredients - only slight improvement would be an option for non-seeded bread as well but that would just be the icing on the cake! Having tea/coffee and homecake available all day was a really nice touch.

We took advantage of the B&B day to stay at 'Lavanda e Rosmarino'. The Bed and Breakfast area is new, very clean and welcoming. The funanbolo room is very spacious with a view. Abundant breakfast with local products and excellent sweets! Also, in the kitchen/breakfast area, you can have a herbal tea or coffee even at other times of the day (for us, an optimal moment of relaxation given the gloomy afternoon). The hosts were very welcoming, hospitable, and gave us useful advice, both for sightseeing and eating well! Bed and Breakfast highly recommended for a weekend by the lake.

Quiet location with a beautiful view of the lake.\n\nTwo negative notes: a dog from the nearby complex that barks at all hours when someone approaches the property (it was 3:30 in the morning) and a better soundproofing of the rooms would be appreciated.\nOverall, still ok.

It is a well-arranged structure, impeccable cleanliness, panoramic location. The managers are wonderful, they offer you all their availability and are willing to do anything to make you feel at ease. The breakfast is sublime, with excellent products that the owners directly source from producers and the homemade cakes by Cinzia are stunning, let's say it's a zero kilometers breakfast. It's wonderful to come back in the evening and find the cake in the oven for the morning breakfast that fills the rooms with its aroma. We will definitely return.

We stayed at this property with my boyfriend. Breathtaking view from the room, directly overlooking the lake and the surrounding mountains. Modern rooms, well-kept furnishings, very familiar and quiet atmosphere. Excellent and abundant breakfast, with artisanal and homemade products. Cinzia and Dario can advise on what to visit and where to eat, they are discreet, kind, helpful, and very nice. Convenient to reach Orta San Giulio (only 5 minutes by car, or 20 minutes on foot along a path in the middle of nature), and to reach Lake Maggiore (30 minutes by car to get to Stresa). Excellent value for money. We will definitely recommend the place and return.
