La Baitina

My name is Antonella and my husband and I have been visiting the Antrona Valley for many years. We fell in love with the beautiful lake located two kilometers from Rovesca. In the summer, I am the only one who swims in this fresh and wonderful water as my husband says it's too cold for him. However, he always accompanies me and we spend our afternoons in a corner of the lake where there are big rocks to sunbathe on and birch trees to feel the cool breeze.

The valley has many safe hiking trails, and one of the most attractive is the lake tour, which is also suitable for children. We have been living here for a year now and have brought our residence to this small village. We already had a small house that we renovated ourselves, but with the Covid event, we have appreciated this place even more in the middle of nature, where we have learned to coexist with wild animals that occasionally come to visit us. For example, my Titti, a fox, brought me her four cubs to eat last year. We leave food for them in the meadow, they come, eat, and then leave. We observe them from the window of our kitchen. At first, we were very excited, but now we are used to observing deer and chamois on the mountain in front of us. There is also a badger that sometimes comes at night and makes holes in the lawn.

My husband is retired, so we decided to move to this village and renovate a house to rent to tourists who want to discover the beautiful Antrona Valley.
