La Rondinella is situated in the heart of Monferrato, in the upper part of Frazione San Grato, amidst hilly terrain and surrounded by greenery. It is a location abundant in natural trails that can be explored on foot or by bike. From the rooms, guests can enjoy views of Monviso and its mountain ranges. We are just a few kilometers from Colle Don Bosco and Asti, and about half an hour away from the city of Turin, as well as from Alba and its Langhe region. Additionally, it is easy to appreciate the beautiful Romanesque churches in the surrounding hills.

The host was very kind, but unfortunately there was a smell of animals in the rooms; we, not having any, noticed it immediately. Everything was very well cared for, but the cleanliness is not the best. The duvet on the double bed was dusty; when I touched it I felt dust. It is an apartment with several rooms and two bathrooms. I booked the whole place because we were many, but if I had been alone I would have had to leave the bedroom to reach the bathroom, which could also be used by the other rooms. There are things to improve for sure, but honestly for that price it is fine. Breathtaking view. Another issue is the heating: when we arrived we had to open the radiator valves and in the morning it was cold because they had been turned off at night and restarted at 7:30. We who woke up early could not get out of bed because of the cold. The heating should be regulated by whoever is at home. Heavy blankets were perfect and the beds comfortable.

Large room, very nice and new. Extremely comfortable bed. Bathroom with a distinctive style with a whirlpool bathtub and a spacious shower. I am happy.

I stayed with my husband for two nights in June and I'm not sure how to review the property: Mrs. Zulmira is undoubtedly kind and smiling and the place is quiet, but some things left us a bit perplexed. The property is actually Mrs. Zulmira's house where she and her husband live on the ground floor and the rented rooms are on the upper floor. I booked the Orchidea room made up as described of two double rooms connected by a corridor at the end of which is the bathroom. I would like to clarify that, although it is not a problem, the bathroom is not in the room as specified in the description but, in fact, at the end of the corridor outside the room. Apart from this, we did not quite understand whether the rooms were for our exclusive use or not, as one was closed upon our arrival (but after all, being only two, one was enough for us) and moreover Mrs. Zulmira specified that the bathroom was all for us because there was no one in the other room; this could mean that either when a couple takes a room the other remains closed and unused, or that, in the case the other is also rented, the bathroom is shared, it is not clear... Furthermore, with the high temperatures that are now in summer, it is impossible to stay in a room without air conditioning, we only saved ourselves by throwing open all the windows, leaving the door open and also opening the window in the corridor (note that the window in the room does not have shutters and that to let air in we could not close the curtains, so already at 5 in the morning there was light in the room). The last important thing is that only the larger room with terrace has an independent entrance but to access the Orchidea where we were on the second floor you have to enter from the ground floor literally passing through the owners' apartment, which put us in a lot of difficulty when one morning, leaving early, we had to practically pass right next to the sofa bed where they were sleeping... In summary, I would say that if you want to spend little and you are content, it can also be fine, but we, for the reasons mentioned above, felt a bit uncomfortable...
